i played this for my 9th grade music class. The teacher sat silent with his eyes closed and dissected it, absorbed it. The class was just stunned silent. Can't remember that teacher's name for the life of me, but he had an open mind.
The teacher was Mr. Day, who taught at John S. Fine High School in Nanticoke, PA for many years. Thank you, Mr. Day, for your open mind and open invitation to let me play heavy metal music for our class. My 38 year old back can't take it anymore, but I head bang to this all the time.❤Dime, I'm not 14 anymore.
how the fuck does this only have 5k views, literally the most accurate cover on youtube, both tonally and in terms of notes played. if you close your eyes its almost like dime is with us again playing threw you
Seeing this song played more for note really showcases Dimebag’s brilliance. I’d give anything to be able to play like this. All pantera is great, but this one is really on a new level. Thanks Attila
If you’re willing to give anything then you definitely can play like this. All you need to give is many thousands of hours of your time for practicing, and spend a modest amount of money on a guitar and an amp or modeller.
Imagine learning this song, playing over and over again and you still get the joy of playing rather than feeling under preassure, Great job, tone, squeals, solo!
Just started my metal journey just less than a year ago. Absolutely fell in love with Pantera and their unique groove. The first time I heard Pantera it was an instrumental of I'm Broken in a movie. Couple of seconds in and I was completely hooked and was looking up who played it. Being a guitar player myself, self-taught about 3 - 4 years now, I couldn't help but take interest in Darrell's playing from his heavy and catchy riffs to his legendary solos. By far my favorite Metal band.
It amazes me you’re not more popular. You, Ola and Kenny G are the go-tos for Pantera Covers. With you though, not only do you play like Dime to a T, but you also have nailed that tone. Something nobody else can do. You are a legend bro.
This is my favorite Pantera song! Heavy as hell. Every time I listen to the pre chorus riff, I imagine Phil doing his "angry" rude stage face. Great cover man!
Yeeeah Ive always felt similar about it. Especially that run that has the feeling of making time longer, almost like if Dime made the bar longer… so amazing
Fucking dead on mate! I've never been able to replicate the clean sound in the intro so I've always skipped when I play it but you fucking nailed it! And that schecter is sick too. Keep rocking!
one of my favs of all time man - had to give the album a real second chance as I was a real close minded jackass upon the first listening. RIP Bros. \ I shall see you both on the same day in Heaven and we will JAM PROPER@@@!!!!!! TY Attila - great job on the cover. GOD BLESS!!
Holy HELL, you're channelling his soul or something dude, because that was literally flawless (/0_o\) That was simply incredible. What a song it is too. Doom laden and although it is generally a slow song, it absolutely has to be one of Pantera's heaviest. I can't call your attempt " a cover " because it's too perfect. You may as well be playing on the actual track, you are so skilled in both playing AND the tone. Just wow !
Dime used a Baritone D3 for that song ! "Custom-Made Black ML Baritone Scale", so i guess he got that Baritone D3 BlackJack made by the Washburn CS. Southern Cross, a Korina D3 (no Floyd, Stoptail), his VW Slime, a couple 333 BJ, etc... on the album. Looks like my post was deleted because of the link, it's in a Sterling Winfield interview in Guitar World 10 months ago 😉

This is actually one of Phil's favorite Pantera songs as well;)...oops my bad, its "everybody get fucking down" cant recall the name of that tune, but thats his fav.
I agree with everyone. Even though I just found this cover and you, to be honest, you did a great job! So much so that I am learning it now with you showing me how to! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽You made me feel it in my heart❤️
That was the best cover of that I’ve ever heard so perfect on so many levels what do you play like 8 hours a day or 12 haha that’s nuts man your insane
Your playing is top-notch as always but I also wanted to admire the guitar. Reminds me of Hetfield's explorers (general shape), Malakian's icemans (shape of the part below the fretboard), Wylde's les pauls (markers). And of course Dime's pick-ups. What a stunning blend!
@@AttilaVorosOfficial Sure, your tone in general sounds like the album which - honestly - is also mindblowing. What amp/setup do you use? (if it's not a secret :))
@@michamozdzen4704 At the time I think I was still using my Kemper with an RM80 profile, heavily tweeked. It's all about finding the "proper" / closest sounding IR, AND then EQ-ing (scooping out certain freqs, like around 1300-1500, adding around 350-400 and 4000ish etc....), all this in the post section, and of course using a 6 band (or even 8...) in the pre section would also shape the sound, especially the attack and some texture around the mid high / high freqs...

You couldnt tell any difference to the original. Which is scary. Attila you are more than worthy of playing these timeless songs.
Agree with you : no difference (huge Attila) and timeless songs (huge Pantera)
The solo in this song is just fucking nuts. Love the way it starts slow then just kinda melts apart.
GETCHA PULL !!!! 🤘😎
One of Pantera's best songs. I've listened to Dime play it 1000 times and your cover was ridiculously close to perfect.
Exactly, insane performance!!! Followed them all my life. This is unreal.

Attila's Pantera covers are hard to believe.. The tone, technique, timing, everything is amazing.
5:35 hits like a thousand hammers
This songs main riff most menacing from Pantera, in my opinion.
I agree, when I was younger I always felt like if I got under the skin of a hitman that went for a kill… weird:)))
Interesting thing: the guitarist of this band looks like a PanterA bassist)

Yeah he does look like Rex tbh
