    As an owner of an older X5, the air suspension requires replacement at about the 6th or 7th year of ownership. Expensive to replace. I would go without it next time. Great review by the way as usual. You guys are the best reviewers on the net!!!

    I think the X5 may be the best all-rounder of the two row lux class. STANDARD B58 I-6 power over pesky 4cyls, plus offering hybrid, and TWO V8s. Cant hate them for offering choices for sure.
    But am I the only one that loathes the pulsating turn signals?? Frustrates me! LOL! Same as the Mazdas but at least those are amber rears.
    Mason and Drew: I also think that BMW has some of the best faux-leather in the business, but I'm curious on how does it dissipate heat. Some of the pleathers hold summer heat way worse than real leather, even when perforated and ventilated.

    I bought a 24 X5 x40i largely based on your previous review and of course, my own research, and I completely agree with your comments. It strikes a great balance between luxury, performance, and utility. The power train is remarkably refined, yet certainly responsive for a vehicle of this size. I also agree with your airball, as the screen controls for climate are tedious to use, although I'm starting to rely on voice control more which helps. My other big annoyance is the lack of shoulder belt height adjustment for the front passengers. For those of us vertically challenged, the belts become uncomfortable after a long trip. Another is the lack of remote rear seat releases from the tailgate, which is shameless cost cutting for a vehicle at this price point. Otherwise, loving my X5 after 5 months of completely trouble free miles. I'm hoping to beat your predication of average reliability, but we shall see. BTW...great to see your content continue to expand and mature. You guys continue to be all about providing meaningful value to your subscribers.

    I'll be waiting patiently for that automated lane change with a look to cause its first accident. What a ridiculous and unnecessary system that adds additional cost and additional safety risk to those around the driver. BMW has really started to move backwards, both in their design elements, and in the technology they're including to hop on whatever trend is next. I saw those front turn signals the other day and I'll be happy to stick with a previous generation X5 for that alone, not to mention that it still has buttons for pretty much all of the functions, and doesn't have that heinous looking super-ultrawide monitor (with absolutely hideous thick bezels, what year is it, 2006?) for a gauge cluster.
    I also don't care for the little toggle joystick shifter. Even the push-button one Honda has is better looking for me personally. Great review as always though, just a shame to see BMW join the fray of car manufacturers forgetting who they make cars for and wasting precious resources on this kind of garbage.

    Oldie but goldie. Classic lines, good power, plenty of options, What is not to like? Other than... the price obviously 🤣. With all due respect your storage "donut test" is pointless and may as well skip it. Has no reference point other than promoting your channel's logo. Either do a proper test with a daily object that people can relate to or just state the actual dimensions in order to be useful. Funny how you do a proper cabin noise test but you stick to the donut test. Just sayin'...

      @@watchfuleye275 They can stuff whatever they please into that bin it's their channel after all. Wasn't trying to be disrespectful but the consistency of the review is off. I mean you take all the time to give the viewers exterior -interior dimensions, power train, acceleration and an accurate noise test but you put random donuts into a storage that some ppl may consider useful. Doesn't have any sort of order of measurement or gives you any useful insight about the size other than the visuals. I may seem petty but it just got stuck to me. Again you guys can do whatever you please and I wish you all the best. Cheers!

      @@axx8326 I see what you're saying, but it is a relative consistent comparison as they are using the same sized donuts for each test. So if vehicle A will hold 8 and vehicle B will hold 10, obviously vehicle B has a larger compartment. Not perfect since we don't know how big the donuts are, but I think more meaningful than the coupons they formerly used. Providing the actual dimensions in addition to the donuts sounds like a good idea.

    Best SUV currently on the market - GLE drives horrible, is over priced, and is built cheaply - Q7 is getting extremely old, is unreliable, and lacks the driving dynamics of the X5, the Cayenne doesn’t feel any better than the Q7 and to get it to the point of being better than the X5 it is close to double the cost

    • @drgvrp_dashcam
      @drgvrp_dashcam 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Well we have a Cayenne, and one of our family members have a Q7. I will say the inside feels much different, and we don’t notice a lot of VW stuff, except for the turn signal stalks which are designed a little differently, and the lock chime. The Q7 has a lot of cheap piano black and is full of screens, while the Cayenne still keeps physical climate controls. Imo it doesn’t feel like a Q7 much at all. However price is a heavy take in, but we looked at the X5. The X5 was priced at 90k for a fully loaded model, while the Cayenne was a 105k for a model we exactly wanted. We paid the extra 15k because it felt much worth it in materials and such, also we liked how Porsche gave us more buttons and a nicely integrated screen. However, we also went with Cayenne cause we have past bad BMW experience, so we wanted to try something new. Also people have said Cayenne reliability is better than most German SUVs, but we will see how it holds up. Mercedes is an absolutely joke, the quality is actually so bad. The only brands that still are somewhat holding up is bmw and Porsche. Audi is even lacking, they couldn’t even redesign the Q7.

    • @CarGeek360

      Q7 and GLE can’t compare to X5 or Cayenne, the X5 and Cayenne are way better although the Cayenne is priced as such where as the X5 isn’t, only “downfall” to the X5 is a relatively tight 2nd row for the size class which I can live with
