When you play on a PC with maximum settings, it can really feel like you’re seeing the future of technology, which will only become available on gaming consoles a few years later. Here’s why: 1. PC Power: Modern gaming PCs can be upgraded and updated, allowing them to use the most advanced technologies, while consoles are released with fixed hardware and remain on the market without upgrades for 5-7 years. 2. Console Update Cycle: Gaming consoles are updated about once every 7 years, so the performance and graphics available on powerful PCs now might become the standard for consoles in a few years. 3. Game Optimization: Consoles benefit from better game optimization, as developers can adapt games to the same hardware more easily. However, even with that, PCs typically outperform consoles in terms of performance and graphics. So, you could say that when you’re playing on a PC “on max settings,” you’re essentially “looking into the future” of the PS6.

Not bad for a 500.00 console vs a PC that exceeds the price by maybe double, if that is what you are willing to pay. Sony has made the right decision by providing their brand an upgrade. Soon enough we will see what a Ps5 pro, and even a Ps6 can do in the near future. Great game.
This is the one game I don’t care about graphics because I don’t want the creatures to look hd or any extra detail to stick out I want it to be dull so that it has the old feeling of silent hill 2
Damn some of the ray tracing is hardly noticeable and not worth the performance dip.
Thats what im saying.
yep, ray tracing is pretty much useless on those type of games, they should focus on baked illumination and reflection... It doesn't make sense to use ray tracing in game where you can't really interact with the environment

Looks great low settings especially with dlss
Ps5 is getting weaker 865p resolution
Optimization is getting worse
Need ps5 pro
@@davidjapri5947No we don’t, we need UE5 to have significant improvement. It’s a problem on all hardware.

Is it in PS4 or not ?
lol ..are you crazy right ??
Looks like the game is poorly optimized even on PC and dont forget that you are comparing a hardware to a PC which costs a fortune

Bloodbath PC its next level compared to any consoles , seeing UE 5 lately they need PS 6 way sooner then u think ^^
I think it's more a matter of optimization, the PS5 already demonstrated how it is able to run games like Horizon Forbidden West smoothly, like Xbox with Forza Horizon 5
New hardware doesn’t solve a bad engine.
"Bloodbath PC" lol
Lmao it’s a bad engine. The base ps5 is still going strong
@@joKerchy 30FPS at the end of 2024 is very "strong" lmfao
I am 70% sure they didn't optimized it enough for PS5 Pro.
On my rtx 4090 only with dlss is enjoy to play. I dont belive ps5 pro can Match this game without FG
That's what I thought, but they haven't announced a PS5 Pro enhancement update for Silent Hill 2.
Like all ue5 games, différence is huge
Overcast lighting is one of the easiest setups to get right both in raster and RT. It shouldn't be as necessary here as in, say Alan Wake 2
Game looks good and it is what is is for performance this is a true console port to PC and it stands the same way on PC as PS5 and works the same way even with all the graphics option. Saying truly do not expect past 60FPS maxed out and with ray tracing Gud Luck and have fun with no upscale.
Please use slide of pc high after ps5 quality rather than ps5 performance slide for better understanding of the comparison
RIP those playing this on console looks like trash and runs even worse 💀
lol for real. Thats why I ditched my PS5
PC *God* Race, once again!
proud of ps5 and developers. Ordered ps5pro)
Game needs PS5 Pro support!!
They've been purposely downgrading the OG PS5 graphics and performance to try push PS5 Pro sales. If you know, you know... 🤡🤣
Here on the PS5 there is a reflection of James in the mirrors 🤔... Obviously it doesn't make any difference, but I was curious
I got this on both platforms. I have a 4080 laptop and I had to drop the res to 1200p to get past 60fps with RT and Epic settings. That’s with DLSS set to quality. I really hope they add frame gen in a future update, because this game is pretty demanding.
Tf you playing on a laptop for💀
@@chriscofer6780 Because that’s what I have.
@@ThreeFortySeven a 4080 on a laptop is not even close to a real 4080, a laptop 4080 is like a 2060.
@@chriscofer6780lol what a load of crap. A 4080 laptop is just slightly below a 4070 desktop in performance.
@@ThreeFortySeven A laptop 4080 is only equivalent to a desktop 4070 super. This game still needs a day one patch but your iGPU isn't strong enough to play with everything maxed out on 1440p regardless.

Wow. Ray-Tracing takes the cake!
The game is so much more fun with ray tracing. I can’t even play older games anymore.

PS5Pro would be interesting
When you play on a PC with maximum settings, it can really feel like you’re seeing the future of technology, which will only become available on gaming consoles a few years later. Here’s why:
Not in this title but I get what you mean. Games like Hellblade 2 and Cyberpunk PT really look next-gen.
All games aren't being developed for the most powerful hardware
@@loalfhlfhul4928 It’s true, there are modern games, masterpieces, that are only 5-10 gigabytes in size, but they will stay in our hearts forever!
