    Love the video and channel bro! Doing one of these on my 2017. Interested in the wagos, any info on what wire you used? Gauge and rough length?

    Do you have an updated link for the custom pan ?

    I want to do this to my 2012 Silverado. But I have a few concerns about doing it. one of them mainly is the noise factor. Does it sound the same inside the cab on the road as the factory window or is it louder?

    • @DIYDiesel
      @DIYDiesel  ปีที่แล้ว

      So the window is not louder, but the holes you drill for the drain pan make it much louder in the cab I am not a fan of.

      @@johnnyninetytwo I have not swapped the middle buckles out yet though, because we just don’t use it. Plan to do that when I take the seats back out here soon

      @@DIYDiesel I want to see the middle buckles and seat installed if you don’t mind. My extended cab has a bench seat in the back with the buckles in the middle and I let my dog ride in the back so I wanna do this swap but I can’t lose the safety function. But I also want to install a drain pan so I’m at the crossroads here any help is appreciated brother I love the content !

    Wait do I see household AC wire connectors being used 🤦‍♂️

    • @DIYDiesel
      @DIYDiesel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What 😆 these are wago connectors. I’ve used them plenty of times with DC control systems for industrial machinery. You are more than welcome to call Wago, and talk to them about this specific product. They are encouraging automotive technicians to use them in the industry more often. Of course people are stuck in there ways though when it comes to shitty scotch locks, or butt splices.

    • @JamesAutoDude
      @JamesAutoDude ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DIYDiesel thanks for the info. They looked like the push type that are more for 110+ volts lol. But I see wago makes them for 12 volt. My life has changed 😳

    • @DIYDiesel
      @DIYDiesel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JamesAutoDude absolutely definitely check them out 221 series. Unfortunately they only go up to 10gauge wire, but hands down the future of what wire connectors are going to.

    These windows tend to leak.

    • @DIYDiesel
      @DIYDiesel  ปีที่แล้ว

      They absolutely do, but that’s why I installed the drain pan 👍
