    Brian I wanted to help you out after I read some of your comments hope you don’t mind….. to determine your throttle only range use this equation- battery voltage (48/52/60/ etc) times the battery capacity (amp hours) and divide by 40 if your over 200 pounds. Divide by 35 if your under 200 pounds. Gets you very close. Additionally fir those that want a large capacity battery with a rapid charger(up to 20% of the capacity) ebikemarketplace will make whatever you want. So a 60Ah battery can have up to a 12amp charger without harming it. Enjoy and see you guys on the path. Hope this helps

      Thanks for the info. I have never researched throttle only. Just info based on my testing with pedal assist. I typically charge at 15a on 50Ah on my trips but only during the day. At night when I have more time to charge it is at a much lower c level with my cycle satiator. Probably 4-5A only.

    I’m having a custom battery made fir my bike to handle an amp charger like yours. Brilliant solution to range anxiety for real long distance travel. Super impressed with your trip and it’s a joy to watch. Don’t stop making the movies they are inspiring to go out there

    The gravel section you were on; I remember riding that section well - I missed the turn off and went over the tracks. Spent 1/2 hour looking for the trailhead and finally went back across the tracks and found the dirt road. I was worried that Cleveland would be to sketchy to ride through - turned out to be real safe and scenic because Cleveland has worked hard on their lake shore bike path system. A surprise insight for anyone planning to bike through there. Caught you using the term acoustic bike during the video - Yes there are electric guitars and acoustic guitars; and there are electric bikes and and acoustic bikes. Stands to reason. LOL

    • @bikingbrian
      @bikingbrian  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahah yeah at first I totally thought the trail was a railroad access road. I would have to agree. One of my favorite states to bike in is Ohio. Great routes (except the 3 mile section into Cleveland).

      Finding electrical outlets can be a problem in some areas….
      Carry a high capacity charger (e.g. Grin Satiator) and at least one long extension cord.

    Just Curious, How Many Watts Is Your E-Bike Battery And Motor To?

    • @bikingbrian
      @bikingbrian  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a bafang bbs02 750 watt. Capable of 1300 but for very limited time. I mostly ride between 350 and 500 watts. The battery is a custom made 50Ah from 21700 cells.
