How did you take off the front cover of the pencil sharpener?? (The part where you squeeze the two things together to open the hole)

Hi there is little tabs that you bend open and the cover come loose

that thing is way too complicated for a simple pencil sharpener.

I found that out to late lol, so I had to try and finish it but it was a challenge for sure
