Love your comment!! I'm 38 and I can picture you being someone who can put on 80s and 90s jams and we will sing every song know all the words 😂❤️ I do this now with all my 80s baby friends and cousins Great music era.
You old people going on about how good it was and complaining about the styles of today. I'm sure in the 80's the old people of that time were complaining about big hair, gated reverb drums and Madonna. While I do enjoy the music of this era and there's plenty of acts that are making new music in these retro styles now. Just enjoy the music and leave the social commentary in your pockets.
I was shopping at Wal-Mart, I heard this song, and I was instantly taken back to 1991 where life was a little better. I surely missed this feel-good song and so glad I am able to enjoy it over and over again!
I always had a feeling 1991 was the last year of not only in good music but society itself. It was marked the end of the historic era from the 20th century era. Magic Johnson's retiring, Freddy Mercury's death, Soviet Union collapsed, and President George Bush speech of New World Order. The Boomers era was starting to come to an end and making new waves for the next darker and younger generation like Generation X. So yeah, we missed those times.
I thought he was Mario Andretti until I saw your post. Jeolosy could take root with the significant 'other' if one is forced to compete (be compared) with racecar driver Andretti. 😮
+Real Dielawn That is quite right. Pop music for the most part, is meant for thirteen to thirty yearolds. Chances are many of these people haven't been thirty years old for some time.

Amy Grant is beautiful in so many ways. A awesome music artist, and a very beautiful woman. It amazes me that I did not really start listening to her music until 1988 shortly after my mom passed away. Her Christian music and the message in her music healed a lot of the hurt I felt during that time period, Songs like "Thy Word" and so many others touched me so much, and I love hew new music as well. She has not had a new album in quite a while but I am sure it will be soon.
I met Amy Grant when I was 12 at Belmont Church. I got the guts to go up to her during singing and she signed by precious moments bible. I will always cherish that memory! she was so kind and such a sweet soul!! I love you Amy! I also remember how persecuted when she crossed over to secular when in reality she was already doing secular and christian in the same albums. The collection is a great example. Amy Grant is genuinely - in her soul - happy in this video due to her faith. No heavy heart full of worries. She's happy and care free which shines throughout this video.
@@electrictroy2010hi! I’ve seen you comment judgmental things about Amy Grant on several videos. You’re talking about a woman whose first husband was a drug addict who didn’t want to give her a divorce. God only knows what she endured during that marriage. She got out and she and her new husband have been married for 24 years. May he without sin cast the first stone. Have a lovely day.
I was at the base exchange in Bangor Wa doing some shopping and they dropped this track... Damn. My family just finished 5 years in Italy, they got orders to South Carolina and I was going to move to Germany for Uni- (living in SC during breaks) This brought back 91. What a great song and video, this is why I've been a big fan of Amy Grant's since the 80's. This album was amazing, just clean amazing, fun music. And the popularity of it, was a great way for many people to listen to her awesome catalog of Christian music.
I love Amy Grant's music and videos. In this one, we can admire her wonderful voice, beauty, incredible charisma, good vibes, heavinly energy with spiritual feeling full of love! God bless Amy for ever!!
“anomalous pulmonary venous return” is a birth defect of the heart in which some of the veins bringing blood back from the lungs don’t connect to the left atrium like usual. Instead, some of them go to the heart by way of an abnormal connection.”
More fun than Baby Baby. That was more romantic. This is plain having a ball. Such chemistry with them on camera. Like a relationship that is going well and you really start knowing each other and doing silly stuff, not worrying about making an impression. Classic.
A great song off of what is one of the better pop albums of the 1990's. "You like to drive like Mario Andretti" resonates with anyone born between 1960-1980 - excellent songwriting for the time.
She is a prime example you don't have to be half naked and sexual in videos for people to love your music. Much respect to her. Wish more artist were like this.
This is legitimately one of the greatest albums of all time. An absolute supergiant star amongst a lot of really great other brilliant albums of the era. This one from 1991 is so unique in retrospect.
It's exactly how I feel. I mean at first I was shocked because I'm thinking Amy Grant can only think about God true. I like that she can sing good clean music about love and other things in life. It's an excellent song and I pray for a love like this someday. I had it and I lost out on it.

@Aric you're totally right. As a matter of fact, the arrangement and the music sounds kinda similar to Toto.
I vaguely remember this on VH1 as a kid in 1992. It was the 4th single from Heart in Motion although it's the MOST 80s sounding song (which was kinda fading by then). They should've probably made it the 1st single so it would've done better. Almost nobody even knows it now.
If it was recorded in 1990-1991 it's going to have some '80s influence. That was normal back then. Music doesn't just magically change to something else just because it's a new decade.
the same guy appears in the music video for "good for me" and "baby baby" (namely, Jme Stein). Jme Stein was a former model. Love this song! Sounds great!
Great voice! I like that she seemed to genuinely make it by being herself. She had that wholesome girl next door image. She's super cute and kinda goofy in these videos.
Walking down Mission Beach boardwalk yesterday here in San Diego Summer 2019 and for whatever reason a bar was blasting this - instantly transported back to 1991 😎
with all the depressing songs about bad relationships, relationships gone wrong/bad, and people who are 'bad for you', this is such a refreshing, hopeful sunny song :) yes, it was 20 years ago lol, but we should all have this song on our ipods!
I've always loved the radio edit better than the album version, which this is. This was the 4th single from the massive 'Heart in Motion' album. You couldn't turn on the radio in 1991/92 without hearing one of the 5 singles released from this pop gem. There is another video that has her hangin' with a childhood friend. That version has the upbeat/bass that was played on the radio.
Hi Amy Grant, Love your beautiful 80's song " Good For Me" Amy, Your 80's and 90's songs are really best ones to listen even now comparing with other modern songs. I have your 80's song album Amy.
love this video. Amy set the trends that we see now and they're saying it's new. Music video Baby Baby has the guy wearing really ripped jeans, Amy wearing an outfit boots with the skirt, hat. That's all you see today.Music is classic. Nothing about her or music gets old. So gifted and fresh beauty... An ICON. for sure.
I thought that it was pretty sad and harsh how the gospel Christian music community tor her a new one again in 2000 when her and Vinc married. The late 80s/early 90s were magical.
whole 20th century music tbh
As far as music was concerned.
I’ll add the mid-late 90’s and into early 00’s for me 👍🏻
Both 80s and 90s were magical
No autotune, no nakedness, no mumbling, no lines about rims and gold chains, no cars, ......just fantastic music!

The on-screen chemistry between Amy & the male actor (Jme Stein) is off the charts. Stein was also in the "Baby, Baby" video.
Correct! Cool facts

Amy Grant's "Good For Me" still sounds great after almost 25 years later!!! Why can't record companies have more music like this???
Because they've all sold out to satan.
Cuz it's not the 80's anymore 😂
