I got myself a datejust 41 earlier in May from the AD in Toronto, after waiting years on the waitlist. I told myself I'd wait my turn instead of buying from the Grey Market. Toronto is safe for the most part, with crowds out really safe. 99% of people won’t notice a watch but Rolex is definitely a target in London or other cities. I have a Datejust 41 Azzuro on Jubilee and it definitely pops wouldn’t wear it on TTC but my 216570 Polar has been amazing in 3 years of owning 2 people have commented on it at work, both watch guys.
I love to seeing people that reaaally love watches actually wearing them in the day to day life. The fact that you even play tennis with it is awesome too! And I wonder, what is the brand of your bike because I’m in France in the south and the traffic is annoying too to be honest 😄
Did you really film something wondering if a watch was safe to wear in public. Alot of us wear watches 3-5 times more expensive than that. It’s just a watch. Dude your making those of us who wear Rolex’s daily and it’s not a show.

My 41mm steel Wimbledon is my daily, granted it’s the oyster bracelet smooth bezel variety, but it beats wearing my AP Royal Oak 15202 in the sh+t hole that is Los Angeles 😆
I'm from the Netherlands where wearing a Rolex in public isn't only risky in Amsterdam anymore... the risk has spread out over the whole country now. Due to that, I barely wear my DJ anymore 😞

How do you feel about scratches on the clasp? For reference- I just purchased a blue dial 126234 and I’m very indecisive regarding buying some protective stripes or just wearing it. I already own a daily beater (bb58), and i also considered just mainly wearing it, to reserve the crown for some nicer occasions.
I think the bike V car comments must be a North American thing. The ability to bike or take public transport has always been seen as a desirable thing to do anywhere I have lived in Europe.
I can afford a Rolex on the secondary mark.. I don't have the buying history or connections to get it from a Rolex store.. I just wouldn't do it.. You can get really well made Homage watches and feel good with it and not have to worry about losing it or it getting stolen.. Even my Omega I would worry about, it was stollen from me in the nicest part of Buenos Aries Argentina.. That experience made me lose my appetite for expensive watches.. You can still buy Steinharts and other great homages where I just don't have to worry about it.. Also, if you are dating different women and you don't want to wake up one morning with it missing.. It might be better to just go for something cheaper..

It's definitely not a good idea to wear any Rolex watches in Singapore or Hong kong because no one is paying any attention to your watch.
