Fun fact: the first version/ earlier releases of this model did not have enough adhesive, which led to the screen coming apart and after complaints from users they just slapped more adhesive

i used a blackberry leap for about 2 years, it surprised me what it could do considering it didn't even run full android, you could side-load android apps fine on it, but it relied on android apps still supporting android 4.0, which was problematic in rare cases, but now in today's landscape, its a lot more annoying

I used to have a Blackberry Priv back in 2018, used it to take and submit my first photo on Unsplash. The unique design of that sliding mechanism in my opinion should be the future of Blackberry design (it there will be any), as it doesn't lose the privilege of a full-size display, but also has the chance of owning the special feeling of typing on the physical keyboard

I used a Blackberry Bold 9000 up until around 8 years ago. It was a great phone, the keyboard was amazing and the trackball was easy to use. It also had amazing speakers. I never came across another phone with such great speakers, even though modern phones have stepped up their game in this area as well.

Blackberry in the past used less adhesive on the KeyOne, but because they used almost no adhesive to anything, the screen was easily removable, even by accident (and it was featured on JerryRigEverything). In response to this, Blackberry made the other way around, and it was obvious on today's video.

I have such a soft spot in my heart for blackberry phones... I remember as a kid my parents would let us play w old cellphones they had no use for anymore. One was an old Blackberry curve, one of the ones with the trackball. I adored it. A few years later I got a new (I think to replace my slide phone?) And the phone I got was a nice Blackberry Curve (I think the 9360?? That seems right but and the year makes sense but ??) And man oh man did I ever love that thing. Like. Even as I sits here typin this, I misses that thing some much. Those old blackberry's really were something and im honestly curious to see what comes of the new products under that name. Envious! Used nothing but BB for 10 years, the last being Q5. Although it will be difficult to move to a physical KB phone now I am nostalgic about this simple but capable devices.

That programmable button has peaked my interest! I've got an app that programs Android volume buttons to skip tracks, but no way set play pause on the bixby key...but on this, we have the potential for a phone that actualy works as a good music player sounds achievable!

You need to highlight the Unihertz Titan. Not only is it a prime example of a phone that can be easily disassembled without glue AND be water-resistant, but they also released a brief-but-still-welcome teardown video.

I owned a few Nokia with physical keyboards before. Typing on those phones was magical. The fact that you could feel the keys made it a lot easier to write and actually fun. The best of them was Nokia N72. As for this phone, I think the keyboard is a little too low placed, but the overall typing experience must be amazing. The design is flawless and the phone has got some really good specs. I would totally enjoy owning a phone like that, something more recent though.
Good job, Hugh. And I love the fact that you narate the film after you edit it.

That phones design (other than the keyboard) is actually really nice. If blackberry decided to make a new phone without the keyboard and with updated specs and cameras im pretty sure a lot of people would buy it.

I had the Q10, Passport, KeyOne, and KeyTwo... Tried holding out for the one teased for 2021 but my Key2 battery was failing & I couldn't get replacement parts/repairs... :( BB10 is still the best phone OS I've ever used and I miss it so much! And no phone security can beat the BlackBerry's. The physical security features built into the phone during the manufacturing process... So good !!!

Thanks for the video, it brought back fun memories. BB Passport was the best ever. It was a true productivity beast... I was deeply saddened when BB decided to give up the mobile segment, what a shame. Anyway can't wait to get my hands on a new blackberry by OnwardMobility soon.
