    This phone was the reason that i switched from apple to android. The fact that even oneplus doesn't continue with the pop up cameras make me switch back to iphone. The oneplus customer service was bad, i had it repaired at an official oneplus shop and it failed 3 times. I had to travel a lot to get to the shop so even though it wasn't my fault i still lost €200 traveling cost and another €60 worth of screenprotectors. Very upsetting, i am still satisfied with my device. But as i just want my phone to work, i want to switch back to apple. Repairing phones on the side to save up for one :)
    Edit:
    Finding screenprotectors for this phone is so hard, and placing them is even worse. I've failed many times. Also, this was the first one to ever have screens that run over 60 herz. After that many other brands started doing it.

    It's a very good phone but the screen is more expensive than a fully working used Oneplus 7 pro here in France :o

    That looked like it was alot of effort to charge that screen , but nice job , that is a good phone 👍 , I'm currently using the 1+8t

    I got the lighter version of 6GB/128GB with the front panel quite broken (3 lines at the top and 1 at the bottom with 1 quite smashed point on the top right corner) but it's still completely usable. Got it for 180 euros last October in France, which was a complete steel I'd say. Only downside for a small guy like me is that it's pretty huge and heavy, compared to my S9. But the battery and fast charging are absolute killer features. Apart from the huge form factor, there's actually nothing to complain about.
    By the way the price of the screen is as much as a used phone, plus the method of replacing is down right hard to reproduce... Might just consider keep using it as it is and move on to a different phone maybe next year.

    Hi!
    To harden the Liquid Adhesive fully, you have to put it in a UV Box.

    Question! I'm doing this repair myself, I bought a one plus 7t pro and now I' m wondering what tape you used and what thickness? Also is it ok if I just use the same tape for the back panel, I'm cheap:) What do you think about removing the display first for stability so the frame doesn't get bent.

    • @ahofmann1577
      @ahofmann1577 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used 5mm wide and 0,23 mm thick double sided tesa 61395, wich is used for all types of phones. I also recommend the T-7000 glue. The tape does all the work and the glue just seals up the spots where the tape is too thick. Everything went great and I didn't need to remove the Motherboard, just the speaker to get acess to the display cable.

    From my experience the double sided tape always started peeling off after a couple weeks(maybe I just bought a crappy one but looks the same to your) so now I use liquid adhesive that is rock solid after it dries up. Cutout adhesive tapes are the best way.
    By the way why didn't you spread the thermal paste thoroughly? Was that on purpose?

    • @jamilmahmudfaisal7531
      @jamilmahmudfaisal7531 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      it will eventually spread when the nfc panel is tightly attached ,leaving verrry little space

    Could you upgrade the battery capacity of the OnePlus 7 Pro? I was thinking of buying one and upgrading the battery to 4,500Mah instead of the stock 4,000Mah.
