These kids need to stop ruining it for everyone else.
I have owned a couple of Citroën in the past, albeit second hand and found annoying problems with the electrics. Air-con kept failing every few months which was easily fixed with a replacement resistor but at £45 a go it was annoying. My E-class estate is 10 years old...already has 'magic handles' in the boot to drop the rear seats, and has a load cover that powers up out of the way when the boot opens. And huge storage space under the boot floor. Nothing new here. However, once Citroen start selling these for peanuts to get the numbers up, it looks like a great car.
My 2008 C5 diesel automatic saloon exclusive was quite comfy and quiet but it was a money pit. Always needing suspension parts at huge expense and then after 100,000 miles the steering rack died. Scrapped it for a KIA.

On side note though I love this new c5x it looks good and it is focused on comfort 👍
Waiting for that comparison. I'm hesitant about the c5x for that reason. If it were better citroen would be shouting it from the rooftops.
@@DennepeerRelaxation I have recently driven the ds7 with it, it is very comfortable and float like, the harshness in pot holes is a lot better but... No self leveling or height adjustability which is a bummer
@@josephjardine32 thanks for that.
Hope re-engaged 😄
why can't we have such a beautiful car in america.
I am very happy that Citroen is back to making absolutely bonkers looking cars that focus on comfort and innovation
What exactly is bonkers about this car? There is absolutely no innovation and the design is run-of-the-mill. Well, growing up in the 70s and 80s with the DS, SM, GS, CX, BX and XM - one is bound to be disappointed😂
@@peterlandbo2726 Not really. Park an AX, BX or CX up against this and you will see the CX5 is a much more interesting design and certainly more unique than the competition. Rose tinted glasses and nostalgia?
I like it! I didn t even hear about it...good looking car! Go Citroenn go!! I love to see citroenn sucseed finally in the future!!!
The C-Pillar design is clearly an homage to the BX. Except for the front (especially the headlights), it has a bold and beautiful design.
Agreed! Yeah, what's the idea with the angry eyebrows? It is supposed to be laid back and comfortable, right?
really wish this was coming to the US
Hello. Your video is great, you are an excellent reporter. Thank you very much, Greetings from France! 🇫🇷🇬🇧
Could watch / listen to Rory all day, what a pro.
As a guy with chronic pain, I wish this was available in Canada. Right now, the best thing I could find was a Buick Envision Avenir I might end up buying in 2024. I want a sedan, but thanks to Zoomers, they're becoming less of an option. Even my old car, the Chrysler 300C, now looks like a sports car on the inside. I don't care how fun a car is to drive if I'm popping Tylenol and Advil every day and trying to avoid (legal) medicinal cannabis because I have to drive. It's bad enough that cars haven't had comfortable velour interiors for 30 years, but now every car has racing seats and stiff suspension. "I can't feel the road!" Well, I can feel everything. These kids need to stop ruining it for everyone else.
2:58 LOVE it's a flat bootlid, looks lovely!!
I have owned a couple of Citroën in the past, albeit second hand and found annoying problems with the electrics. Air-con kept failing every few months which was easily fixed with a replacement resistor but at £45 a go it was annoying.
I think they are one of those cars that are better to buy new or nearly new and still under warranty. They are well equipped , comfortable and nice to look at . Personally, I have a fondness for Citroen but just wish I could trust them a bit more.
In France - I am french ( sorry ….Noone could be perfect ! ) - well it is used to say that everyone that have had a Citroën car has cried when it was
Very nice. Hopefully come to Malaysia too.
does is come optionally with matrix led?
Without the hydraulic suspension system that they used to have, it won't stand a change facing air suspensions from other cars.
Awesome Citroen gave this wagon such a good finishing touch
I like it when testers take the time to discuss the seats. Many do not. They may mention dimensions, but rarely the seats actual comfort nd feel. Seats, to me are paramount. Where do you spend your time when you drive a car ??
Fondling the dash to see how soft it is. Well most reviewers seem to.
That reverb. guitarists be like that's my kind of place
Can't wait to see this tested against Rolls Royce.
I have 2011 Citroen C5 X7 and it gives a run for its money any other car regarding comfort.
Ha, we nearly went for that one in '13. Only reason we didn't was that Arnold Clark had an amazing deal for an incredibly low mileage i40 estate which we couldn't turn down. Been happy with it ever since, so I'm glad I never got to regret that change of heart.
I'm so pleased the C5X is here. Also, very nice editing
The best suspension have it Citroën, for me it's amazing car ,if buy one time Citroën never change brand ,good job Citroën continue to make the different
You missed out the ZX, XM!.
Citroen needs to make this electric and a thrid of the price of the Merc EQS and they will clean up.
Why didn't they put their hydropneumatic suspension for their high-end edition?
Thank Heavens the C5 has more style and character than the BMW x6
Strange how they won't offer a hydractive system, not even in their top class cars!
This is beautiful! I Wish Citroen came back to The US! We don’t have enough Wagons!
Never...
Now that's a car that I would want to drive.comfort is key.
Yes Rory - I'd like to see it being benchmarked vs the Rolls Royce for ride comfort.
Any full-electric option in the pipeline please?
Thanks for the review - still ca n’t get used to the exterior design ..
I'm glad it's not an SUV. But also, I saw knobs in the interior! Thank goodness!
I want to buy this legendary car now 😍👍
GJ Citroen, took you a while but it's a good looking car like your cars of the days of old.
How does this compare to the DS?
Really bummed that it hasn’t got a single diesel, and that the progressive hydraulic dampers aren’t avaliable on non-hybrids. Well I guess the last generation C5 is more for me with Hydractive still present
The market doesn't want diesels anymore
The Progressive Hydraulic Cushions are on the petrol. The PHEV gets the camera based adaptive campers from the DS models
@@Mireaze lmao what? What country are you living in
Diesels are dying out.
@@JTM610 all of them. Nobody wants a diesel in this kind of car
First Citroen with proper HUD? The C6 would like a word! (granted, it wasn't colour)
The background music on the outro is insane.... I'm sure it'll be proper playing that whilst cruising on the Citroen C5X
know the name?
Comfort is the most important car feature not speed or handling.
Great video on a car I wish I could buy but can’t have in the US😩
Very interested in purchasing one. Apparently there’s no dealership in the US??????
Car has amazing road presence.
Is this a large car or roughly the same size as a Mondeo vignale ?
Is it Hybrid4, I mean AWD ? What about towing ?
The art of france😍👍
That's a early morning heads up 😀🤟thank you 👍
is there a manual option?
Loving the slo-mo B roll Rory 👍🏻
I love your presentation Rory.
Looks plush, and it’s good to see Citroen producing a car that follows in the footsteps of the DS, but isn’t that what erm, DS the brand was supposed to do? Confusing.
Look at the ds9 it already has the advanced comfort and adaptive suspension basically the same car but more luxury
Forgot the XM which is what this is an homage to
