Now THIS is how to play mono red! You literally have the HOTTEST deck around and you still drop some of the COLDEST lines ever! You're the best, Luca!!!! 🔥🤘
@@CaulkMongler Extremely. Landfall ramp into scary monsters seems to be one of the only strategies brawl players know (the others being kill everything or counter everything control), and turning any single land in your hand into 2 lands for 4 mana on a perpetually growing body is extremely powerful in those strategies.
I love playing these kinds of "combo" decks but I really don't like playing against them and whenever I do go off I feel bad that my opponent might be just as unhappy as I am to play against it. Wish Arena had some bots just a tiny bit smarter than Sparky but still easy to pound on without any guilt.
This is why you watch the games played out. First game was looking bleak and I probably wouldn’t have known what to do. Proves to never give up and not to concede. Great games
Thats what you get for playing mythweawer xD i agree! I do the same if i can! Hey i dont know if you take suggestions, but would be so amazing to see you build a storm burn deck around the new bloomburrow Ral, rackling wit planeswalker. I built the deck like that and its sort of working, but would be so interesting to see you make it actually work :D i had so many games with 2 life left and then burning them for lethal damage on my last turn, its so satisfying!
I looove brawl games but people don’t play to have fun anymore, the concede so quick, and I get the “I don’t want to waste time” but that’s what play a game is about :( They only play to win sadly
Game 2 you can reorder Zada's trigger to the bottom of the stack and it will copy more times after the Stormsplitter triggers make more creatures. More overkill is better!
Hey, first off, i love your videos. Also after your watching your videos for some time now i've realized......... There's really no point in playing against people. They *NEVER* allow you to finish your combos or show off your strategy. They just leave immediately. Personally i always take the loss because im respectful of my opponents strategy, but it's never shown back. Probably should be implemented where you just cant leave in the UI. But anyway it was a great video to watch.
In the older Duels of the Planeswalkers games they had an "AI takeover" feature, where if your opponent concedes you can either take the win and move on or you could decide to keep playing and a bot would take over the opponent's deck. Would be a fun way to let you combo after a concession. Reasons they may not have done so already are the difficulty of making a competent AI opponent, but they might also want to limit the amount of time people spend playing vs non-human opponents since that might result in longer queue times for everyone.
You should try an eluge build. Ive been playing a counterspell build with eluge, and if you can land eluge for a turn and keep up card draw, then you basically completely stop your opponent from playing.
@calebperrin8270 yeah, that kind of deck isn't really very conducive to making interesting content. I personally have no interest in watching land, pass, counter a spell for many turns.
@@davestier6247 eluge is a big body, and there are many creatures in the deck. I've won every game by beating down. The matches usually last around 6-10 turns. It only drags when the other player has a fast deck or ways to get around my play, which I find interesting, and fun. Also, he has made plenty of content that drags games for a few extra turns.
Let me use this comment to complain about landfall in Brawl. Landfall is a very strong mechanic to the point that is almost broken, and there is very little to nonexistent hate to it. The scary landfall payoffs are 3 mana or less, which makes it even more frustrating to face them. Ramp is already an advantageous strategy in Brawl, so I don't think that ramp deserves too much more support. But wizards for some reason keeps bringin cards like the mythweaver and green keeps on getting rewarded for landfall strategies, which I think is a bit unfair and maybe unnecessary. But my biggest point is: almost every simic deck is basically a landfall in a trenchcoat. That can't be good for the format, let's be honest. Anyway, great video! Wholesome gameplay and interesting deck.
Landfall isn’t as powerful when they are forced to face endless wraths and remuvals every single game. The issue is about the matchmaker, which is unable to find balanced matches.
@@CristianCiotti actually, let me respectfully disagree with you. I think wraths and removals are the type of matchmaking where landfall shines, because their investment sits safe on the battlefield among the lands. Removal are suboptimal against lands because a land always comes into play first, and wraths are tipically around 4-5 mana against the 2-3 of landfall payoffs. Also, there's no such thing as endless wraths. Wraths are costly and still need one card. Landfall is free advantage just for taking game actions. Anyone who has played against uro, golos, roxanne and such knows what I'm talking about. Kill their commander? They just go land into replay it. So when a landfall player goes payoff into land, if you are planning to kill their payoff in response you are already slightly losing
I think the biggest problem is the user interface of arena. The triggers resolve too slow and its just painful to sit trough it. I imagine that in paper version people just immediately ask if the triggers resolve at once which probably makes it much less painful deck to play against. I think its more annoying because of that than broken in power level
@@silviobaiguini69420 I understand your concerns, but you see right in this video how even a mono colored deck, just a turn with their commander and the game is over, no matter the board state, basically. The format became so powerful that every deck built properly can do broken things pretty fast.
Man this deck is so fun but it's way too flimsy to be consistent... at least I didn't have to spend wildcards on it Edit: The deck seems to be weighted crazy high, nothing but Rusko, Atraxa, Vadrik, Tatyova or other bulls**t commanders
i really don't get how you can complain about mythweaver poq constantly and never ever complain about stupid slotmachine commanders like etali and cruelclaw.. those are so much worse
As a sidenote if you do go off with Stormsplitter, make sure to reorder the Zada trigger so you make the token copies first.
i was about to say, like wtf

The most you'll ever hear from LVD, " that's what you get for playing Mythweaver" speaks volumes
😂 the vengeful side of our peaceful Legend, it's not always we get to see him dive into the dark side.
He's a real breath of fresh air compared to TCG content creators like Roffle and CGB
LVD's April Fools video: he's loud, salty and spams the GG emote constantly. Loses every game, then complains about the opponent's deck.
@@ashrog82 On April Fools he should play only/mostly the Arena-only cards.
I play almost exclusively paper magic. What's with Mythweaver? is it frowned upon when a player uses it?
You know LVD is cooking when he drops the signature "~oh yes"
I really didn't think you had much of a chance game 1. I'm glad to be proven wrong. Very impressive stuff.
"That's what you get for playing Mythweaver"
The timing when he said "maybe the opponent is being a bit cautious" and the opponent immediately turning sideways all their creatures 😂
32:59 Oh wow, that's a great tip, never knew that - I always used All Attack and then deselect to save time but this is even better!
16:45 SAVAGE
LVD FROM THE TOP ROPE!

Just started, but the comments spoiled it a bit. I can not wait for Mythweaver.
DID YOU GET THERE
That Bonny Pall game was crazy, and always serves to remind me that you can’t count yourself out until the very end. Nice turnaround!
My video starting buffering as soon as Legend started to pop off on that last turn and I'm not even mad cause that's the authentic Arena experience
That first game...wow lol.
And yes, that _IS_ what you get for playing Mythweaver.
I’m not in the loop on Arena/the current meta, is Mythweaver considered overpowered or overtuned?

Yeah I wish there was a single player version like duels of the planeswalkers used to have
Nice. I built this commander a few years ago, and it's still assembled and stupidly powerful. Don't let me untap with my commander out
You get a trigger, you get a trigger every creature gets a trigger!
Thanks Oprah
Nice gameplay, thx 👌
The new red leyline will go crazy with Zada
Omg I was playing the Derevi deck! I didn’t even realize it was you at the time. Got me good, I’ll get you next time!
Thanks for the game, will have to try my own take on Derevi at some point!
Why did you concede? Are you not curious to see how much damage you're about to take?

whats your criteria for wins vs losses when editing? I like the fact that you leave some defeats on the video too. Great the content!

Finally top 3 to comment
I’m amazed how quickly this deck can pop off. That mythweaver game… 😱 also I don’t blame LVD for hating alchemy cards. Broken, OP 💩

Im wondering why nobody plays whirlwind denial in brawl formats? Its too expensive?

38 lands for a mono red seems wild
This isn't your typical red aggro deck, we need to reliably hit our land drops so we have enough mana to combo.
He needs to reliably get to at least 4 lands in a row without missing land drops, so definitely need 38 at least.
