It's a relatively new commander in this iteration of the game, so I don't see the issue. I'd rather run into her than yet another Etali, Imoti or sliverless First Sliver for sure.
this is why i love lvd. It's magic asmr, a totally chill vibe that I dont get when I actually play the game because I tilt at everything: "OH THIS MOTHERFUCKER PLAYED A LAND THAT ASSHOLE"

I played narset- extra combats in commander back in the day, when I realized she was coming to brawl I knew I needed to build her. I love seeing your builds, your card selection is so immaculate, cycling for early and late game relevance, your interaction is cheap yet has late game relevance, and your ramp selection is very clean. Your deck building is a wonder to behold❤
Love the thorough deck breakdowns, really insightful to deck building. Small request though: would you put a card count on each of the sections when you do the breakdown in the beginning? No sweat if you don't think it's relevant or if you don't like how it looks. Excellent content, cheers buddy
It's tricky since some cards can fit into multiple categories so the count wouldn't be very accurate. It's also not an exact science, so if someone were to replicate the deck they don't need the same numbers.
I usually watch CovertGoBlue for brawl content but I gotta say I've been converted. I've never seen anybody more level-headed, thoughtful, and organized when playing this absolutely absurd game.
It might be a bit dumb, but while watching your videos on PC I sometimes skip 5 seconds while you are making a decision, or during the opponent's turn. Its kinda funny, sometimes it makes sense. "We can - removal - Narset - keep up - counterspell - counter - alright".
I was playing Narset when she was released and oh my it was about as devastating as shown here. Now most people just quit and she got put into the brawl hell queue (5C Jodah, Golos, Esikia, Scarab God etc.). Still extremely fun to play!
It's my favourite paper commander (my build is more of a voltron though), and I built one on Arena two days before KTK became available. Been playing it since day one, never gets old. But I do keep fighting Etalis and Ruskos.
Problem I have is that people seem to forget that she needs to hit the field asap and with haste if possible. Everyone wants to just include expensive stuff and not enough early ramp. Irencraig is solid in the deck. You want to make it an equipment so she can be a 6/5 which will allow her to attack through most stuff. So far Your version is the best I’ve seen.
@@AkodoNoEyes Pretty sure the Irencrag loses all abilities, not the equipped creature. So basically, Irencrag loses the ability to tap for mana and that's it.
@@Asian_Caleb It's the Iron Craig that lose the mana ability. I have used Iron Craig as an equipment many times already so i know it works that way. Still, i do find the wording in the card a little confusing. At first, i also thought the creature would lose its ability.
Took a look at this since I'd already built a Brawl deck using her and was curious how mine stacked up. There are some really neat interactions in your build here that I'd overlooked, but I was surprised not to see Hit the Mother Lode your deck. It worked wonders in mine, making the turns even more unbalanced with all that extra Treasure to use (after all the free spells are cast). Either way a really fun one to play, and to watch! I can see a nerf of this coming to Arena for sure.

It's in no way jank unless you try to build in multi-card dependant combos that just end up getting exiled at the wrong time. Watch out with too many counterspells, you'll end up exiling them when they're useless. I'm running more protect than counters, because survivability of Narset is more important. Put in spells like Chimil and the giant mana blowouts and it wins.
When I saw Narset, I was like "Wow, this card totally sucks. A SIX MANA 3/2 that wants to ATTACK?? It should cost like four mana!" ...I missed the words "without paying their mana cost."
@@Yesnomu discover the formula seems like a good choice. Aren’t there 2 low mana cost cards thst let you seek stuff to help the early game? I do like Molten Impact. I kinda wonder if Counterspell is worth siding out for something else.
As much as I love Narset, Enlightened Master, playing her 1v1 in Brawl makes me remember why I gutted my EDH deck of her, she just devolves into un-fun solitaire. The new Narset, Enlightened Exile I find to be much more entertaining. She's just so much better designed. All that said, great video as usual LVD.
The most broken thing about narset isn’t even the free spells, it’s a gimmicky commander with hexproof, so usually you could just remove the commander to stop the deck but not here 💀
Not surprised that they just refer to it as Brawl now. It's a fun format. Great stand in for Commander. NOBODY plays Standard Brawl. For the LOLs I jumped into the Standard Brawl queue, and left after waiting for 25 minutes for a game. 😂

I hate how every new commander released is automatically put into the generic brawl queue. Most of these decks didn't stand a chance against yours. Every new broken legendary gets to completely destroy the general queue for three months before they finally adjust it into hell queue. There have been a few exceptions to this like Ragavan and Griselbrand, but so many have gone completely unchecked [e.g. Narset, Atraxa, Rusko]. It just destroys the meta and no matter how shitty your deck you will likely be paired with totally broken commanders simply due to WOTC's laziness.
I've heard reports that Narset already got bumped up in the hell queue. I agree it's been a problem in the past. They probably want to wait on the data before making decisions, but more frequent updates in-between releases would alleviate this problem.
Just beat up this deck with The First Sliver, wondering what the deck was about... and immediately I find the video for it hahaha Yes. You read that right. First Sliver player, unleash your hatred.

What’s wrong with commander? It’s far less predictable than 60 card because of singleton. Cards that are garbage in other formats shine in commander because it’s diverse and objectively not boring

Being Narset is my 2nd favorite Planeswalker and I love Jeskai...this makes me happy in pants!

standard brawl just doesn't have enough cards to support a lot of strategies, so all you're left with is value piles
Standard brawl is fun and I never have to wait more than 1 minute
Could be a region issue, I never have to wait more than a few seconds for standard brawl, but it's nowhere near as fun as historic.
