  • This is my tournament footage from the 2024 MBKFA Burgett minimalist tournament. The catch with this tournament is that you can only use the 3 lures you are provided with on tournament morning and must launch on Ft. Morgan rd. The lures given for this tournament are the Lunkerhunt Impact walker, Buggs fishing Redfish curl tail, and the Southern Salt Hood wink. This is a fun tournament and I end up catching a few. Come along and let me know what you think.

Great video on little lagoon. It’s on my list to fish this year. FYI late summer out behind compass point condo I know some guys who catch some really big trout there. Like 8 to 10 pound trout. Good luck out there.

Thanks for the tip I will have to try that spot this summer. It’s a cool place, when you go I recommend getting there early enough to run lights. I’ve heard that’s when the fish are most aggressive over there. I’ve noticed the bite will shut down when the sun gets up during the day. Thanks for checking out the video!

Thanks buddy, it was good seeing you out there. I meant to ask you a few weeks ago if you could see any fish under the 59 bridge on sonar that day? After my bigger trout, the bridge bite shut down.

@@Eightmile_Drifterwe didn’t catch anything in under the bridge, I took my gear pod out so I didn’t have any fish finder that tournament.

@@ColsenTaylorFishing I gotcha, saltwater is rough on pretty much everything so it was probably a smart move.

Nice job buddy. You had me laughing pretty good when you were intentionally backlashing your baitcaster.😂

Thanks bud, it was pretty funny doing it. There was a couple on the docks right next to where I was making those awful casts. After about the 5th one the looked at me like I was crazy and slowly backed away. Lol

Nice fishing my man! I'm impressed with your knowledge of various baits, fish, terrain, etc. I look for twigs and throw at em 😂😂

Thanks, it’s probably due to me having a lot of bad days and learning a little here and there. I approach fresh and salt kind of the same. Creek bends, fishing in Eddie current, and always throwing at hard objects if I see any. Salt water is an odd puzzle because the fish move around so much. A lot of days are just mostly looking for schools of fish. Some creeks will be stacked and others completely dead. Fishing the open bay is always a struggle though. Everything looks the same haha.

Oh yeah, I may be throwing the ones I have tomorrow. Can’t wait to try them on a chatterbait.
