If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. With regards to the modernization, I feel where you're coming from. But because the Arthurian mythos is a codifier for so many, many things, I feel like modern attempts to retell stories are better viewed as reflections on the societies at the time. King Arthur is kinda like Superman in that way- every other 'King' is some sort of derivative of Arthur in some way. So for me, it's facinating to see the myriad of new versions of the original stuff. In this case, it's 'What if King Arthur had a Total Gym in every room he ever walked in?" :D
I would wield Infernoble Arms - Joyeuse, even through in the game it has one of the "weakest" effects, compared to other Noble Arms, I like its design and also it is Charlemagne's "Excalibur" and its name is literally means "joyous". Also in myth, Joyeuse was forged to contain the Lance of Longinus within its pommel, had the same durability as Durendal and changed colors thirty times a day.
Iyvanne's token summoning effect could also be a reference for him having a lion ally, and this lion will only follow if his master wields a noble blade.
Aaah yes my first archtype I used when getting back into Yugioh, great video sam! This deck is definitely obe that's close to my heart, plus the card artworks of the noble knights and noble arms are easily some of the most beautiful, also fun fact, the knights use their welsh names in the TCG
Unfortunately it was always too little to late so they never made it beyond rogue status. (excluding Infernobles of course) At least now they got their moment to shine in duel links.
Gallatin. huge fan of Arthurian Legend, not my only reason for the love of these cards, I had been a huge fan of rescue rabbit and seeing Arthur and the one XYZ that could double its attack up to 4000 I started making a Noble Rabbits deck and as more support rolled out it became pure noble arms, so it was both the love of the legends and an established rock I evolved over time xD But yeah, I’d take Gallatin as the tale of the green knight is one of my favorites
I love my noble knights. I think I would want the noble arms of destiny for it's protective abilities. On a side note Celestial sword Eatos is also treated as a noble arm. On another note who else wants a fusion noble knights? Maybe based on Sir Kay, the green knight, Uther, or even Morgan Lefey?
This was one of my first ever fully completed decks, from the box set. I loved this deck and archetype, and I still do. It's probably one of the main reasons I love the legends of the middle ages. It's just so goddamn cool! I also got from a pack, a Red Dragon Archfiend and added it to my Noble Knight deck, but it was never meant to be. I dropped and lost it in middle school and never saw it again. I have no choice but to continue that deck's legacy in the virtual world.... I still miss that deck to this day. Besides Heroes, the Noble Knights are my favorite archetype...... But are funnily enough, severely annoying to go against if you don't have a decent negation deck or something.
If I would wield one of the Noble Arms, it would be Excaliburn because of the artwork shown that Excaliburn has 2 colors which is red and blue and it suits me because red is my favorite color and it's a sign of power and love and blue is a sign of calm, gentle, fast, swift, and peace
I really liked the Noble knights cause I love the story of King Arthur and the knights of the round, side note morgana is the enchantress, half sister to Arthur’s advisor and best friend Merlin. And I’d also like to point out the original lion sin, a man who was considered the be one of the strongest people in Arthur’s time, was a man who aided King Arthur in his battle for England and one of the few people to survive battling Gawain as well as Gawains rival, going so far as to disrespect him to pick a fight and prove his strength again.
Also fun fact about the marvel comics character hellboy he is able to pull the sword from the stone when he did he had a crown of fire appeared above his head that was the second time that happened to the first time was in a vision of the destruction he would have brought along with him but this grimm future never came because he chose to be the world's savior and not it's destroyer
I would love for these Archetype to get a other counterpart, maybe something like Winoble Knights based on the Roundtables and Paladins Counterparts known as the Ammelungs who included famous knights such as Siegfried the Dragonslayer,Dietrich von Bern and Hama Win in Winoble knight would stand for both Wind and Victory as all of their Archetype would be Wind types.
About your question at the end, I would also wield the caliburn because if I could wield it, then I can become a king. Also it is also the sword that King Arthur pulled so that’s why I like it.
I would really like some new "sub-archetypes" (to me, it's okay if they don't have in common effects with all the others but still share similarities in artwork/names) based on some other country with legends of knights, but i don't know which it should be
29:03 Actually something really fun, joyeuse means in fact joyous but it's not meant as happiness, its name was given to it because a legend says that when Charle magne used it to fight the sword itself would make a bright and beautiful sound, as if it was singing, joyously. Definitely the one I would wield.
This is the best archetype video I’ve seen from you so far. Listening to you recount the Tales of King Arthur Pendragon was very fun. You could be a real good story teller, just a thought.
Don't forget noble knight's spear holder, noble knight's shield-bearer, horse of the floral knight's, centaur Mina (a fusion monster requiring noble knight's spear holder and horse of the floral knight's), and celestial sword - Eatos (as it says it's always treated as a noble arms card) which technically makes Guardian Eatos and Guardian dreadscythe apart of the architype as well. Though they and celtic guard of noble arms don't really have anything to do with the noble knights beside a few have noble knight or noble arms in their names/how they're treated, I suppose.
Arthur didn't have mordred with his cousin. It was his sister. Same mother different father. Morgan is based on Morgana le Fey, which is the enchantress sister of King Arthur and mother of Medraut.
Technically, Mordred is the son of Arthur and his half-sister in most version instead of his cousin, due to some magical bullshit in one of the 'side' stories.
Just a minor nitpick, but Lancelot’s mother wasn’t the same lady of the lake who gave the sword to Arthur. Magical ladies of the lake were like a trope back then, even more appear during the other Arthurian stories. Lancelot was also French, or at least grew up in France, so it could not have been the same lady.
I kinda want a mordred fusion monsters. Like you can contact fuse a level five dark monster and a noble arms equip spell. We’ve got every other extra deck type except fusion
Oh my god, I am glad I am not a Welsh I can't even imagine how triggered I would be after god knows how many times Arthurian legends called ''English'' instead of Welsh. Dude, his whole legend is based on how he defended his lands against the ''English''.
It isn't necessarily Welsh since the main part of it being Welsh is merlin, who was a prophet in welsh legends. The knights of the round was created soon later with the focus upon giving Britain history cause the first info of the legend was in a fragmented poem that discuss Mordred and Arthur in battle and falling down a hill or a ravine with no context. I do see your point of view but in reality Arthur is a melting pot in everything from Britain to Ireland and everything in between (and France for... Reasons), honestly I say its perfect this way cause everyone countries have some purpose in it, except the Saxons, because no one likes the Saxons
You forgot Celestial Sword Eatos, while not in name, it is counted as a Noble Arm. And I would wield Caliburn or Destiny. This is my favorite archetype in Yu-Gi-Oh, also had some of my best wins using this deck.
This deck reminds me of my embarrassing time, when I, was being a weeb myself, delivered a final direct attack with artorigus equipped it with Excalibur, but whether my tongue twisted, I said "excabulir" instead... Man, what a day back then!
I made an argument A couple weeks ago about how the Paladinss of Charlemagne are nothing in comparison to the Knights of the Round Table as far as the Fate and Type Moon Universe goes
There is one thing the Knights of Charlemagne beat the knights of the round, which is how goofy they are in the fate verse. I'm not even joking, if you played Fate Extella 2 you would see how much of a goofball that group really is.
@@madambutterfly1997 well there's also the thing that the Charlemagne's Paladin is real and like a big inspiration for arthurian legend, tbf the paladins these days are mostly based on the song of roland which is a story written from Charlemagne's Daydreaming so its also kinda fictional stuff but not the level of arthurian legend stuff. For example while Excalibur is a sword with magic, healing, ultimate power, all that stuff and in fate the sword itself have the power to wreck/save the world, Joyeuse the thing Excalibur based on is just a normal sword Charlemagne use, and it got the beamy power in extella mostly because heroic spirit and throne weird shtick

Wonder if we'll get noble knights for the other three attributes in the future, there's probably other knights out there that can be used for water, wind, and earth
You know if they added cards to the archetype that reference the DC characters Etrigan and/or Jason Blood I would simultaneously marvel at how Konami managed to convince Warner to let them and laugh as most Yugioh fans would not know who the hell they are, nor the fact that they're related to the Arthur Mythos in the DC universe, because yes that actually happened in the comics. (As Etrigan was a demon that Merlin summoned to help protect Camelot while Jason Blood was a knight who betrayed Arthur to get down and dirty with Morgan and got cursed with immortality and turn into Etrigan with a specific rhyme.)
I'm a huge Arthurian legend nerd, so I jumped to get this deck as soon as I saw the first few cards on Duel Links. Still hoping that they give Lancelot his redemption card, or even a dark form of Mordred
You serious? Fate is LITERALLY about the Holy Grail. Nobel knights are the first thing that comes to mind when its connected to this series regarding the Arthurian Legends
I wish we could have a version of Lancelot that isn't implied to be evil. Would be nice. Since in the actual Mythos it never really feels like either Arthur or Lancelot were evil. But rather like Lancelot committed a crime of passion.

In this case, it's 'What if King Arthur had a Total Gym in every room he ever walked in?"
:D
I would wield Infernoble Arms - Joyeuse, even through in the game it has one of the "weakest" effects, compared to other Noble Arms, I like its design and also it is Charlemagne's "Excalibur" and its name is literally means "joyous". Also in myth, Joyeuse was forged to contain the Lance of Longinus within its pommel, had the same durability as Durendal and changed colors thirty times a day.
So it had RGB? Damn Charlemagne was the original gamer
Flaming knights?
Oh my, they’re getting dangerous.
It would explain their massive swords.
this comment made me laugh than what I expected
Is that a monster can reference?
Wow!!! From one knight card to an entire army of a deck with each booster pack, box, tin and ect.
That’s what call real reinforcements / boost...
Unfortunately it was always too little to late so they never made it beyond rogue status. (excluding Infernobles of course) At least now they got their moment to shine in duel links.
Reinforcements of the army...
@@TrueCyprien until Konami killed the skill to make them consistent
13:03 I don't know why I always thought he was holding that sword behind his back...
Its just the angle its in
wait its not like that?
I can’t unsee it now...
I think you missed one noble arm... A celtic guardian
I appreciate this comment.
2, for some reason, Celestial Sword of Eatos is treated as a Noble Arms.
@@walterlopez5054 You're totally right.
Eatos is a noble arm because how it's written in japanese
@@walterlopez5054 yh but there’s literally no reason to use it lol just a rip off version of caliburn
Even in another franchise, Astolfo still looks like a girl.
Didnt know alstolfo was related to king arthur lol
I was looking for this comment
Well, the original also was known for being very beautiful and to enchant men and women alike.
Felis😺?
@@BILOUUU59 Also has a huge penis and slept with nearly all the wives of the land to understand cheating with his bro after his wife? cheated on him.
Duel Links: Oh hey I see that everywhere.
You can feel that sadness in the spell cards man. Truly amazing artwork there.
I would take "Noble Arms - Clarent". I REALLY like the Design.
Gallatin. huge fan of Arthurian Legend, not my only reason for the love of these cards, I had been a huge fan of rescue rabbit and seeing Arthur and the one XYZ that could double its attack up to 4000 I started making a Noble Rabbits deck and as more support rolled out it became pure noble arms, so it was both the love of the legends and an established rock I evolved over time xD
But yeah, I’d take Gallatin as the tale of the green knight is one of my favorites
I keep saying Konami needs to make an anime based on the lore of these cards
Can’t stand the amount of noble knights decks I get in duellinks everyday
ohhh be ready to face Galaxy eyes it's gonna be worse
I like the archetype lol
At least it's not Shiranui and Crystron
Can't wait for t.g. this late feb :3
Galaxy eyes , Blue Eyes , Noble knights , Dark Magician and Aroma . But at least Noble knights are fun to learn the history of .
What’s a more Nobel than a Knight, How about a deck of knights?
**Starts building a Noble Knight deck half way through the video**
OCG: Sir, how would you like to name the Magician guy?
TCG: I dont know man. I'm tired adding BS on their name at this point...
😅
Noble arms of Destiny. Because they shield their wielder from destruction/death one per turn.
Those artworks of this archetype and mechanics are literally brilliant, and the thing I actually love Yu-Gi-Oh! as TCG.
I would love for these Archetype to get a other counterpart, maybe something like Winoble Knights based on the Roundtables and Paladins Counterparts known as the Ammelungs who included famous knights such as Siegfried the Dragonslayer,Dietrich von Bern and Hama
Win in Winoble knight would stand for both Wind and Victory as all of their Archetype would be Wind types.
KONAMIIIII!, hire my mans right now
I would probably pick the noble arms of destiny. Fits well with my preferred fighting style to be honest.
Thank you for giving me a reason to absolutely love a deck I already favored amongst other fancier or even more powerful decks
About your question at the end, I would also wield the caliburn because if I could wield it, then I can become a king. Also it is also the sword that King Arthur pulled so that’s why I like it.
I would really like some new "sub-archetypes" (to me, it's okay if they don't have in common effects with all the others but still share similarities in artwork/names) based on some other country with legends of knights, but i don't know which it should be
China?
Japan?
Spain?
I don't know
(Maybe i'm a bit biased cause i was born there, Italy but they are Spellcasters cuz inventions?)
Just has to work on his pronunciation...
But what about “Celtic Guard of Noble Arms?”
I always love these cards artwork especially Gwenavier the lady of the lake isolde and Morgan
Love this video. Really good to see Noble Knights get more videos made on them
Id go with hauteclere' simply because I love duel blades and they look gorgeous to me
4 more "noble kights": Noble Knight's Spearholder, Noble Knight's Shieldbearer, Horse of the Floral Knights, And the fusion monster Centaur Mina
Also the Celtic Guard of Noble Arms.
Plus the Celestial Sword - Eatos (which is always treated as a "Noble Arms" card)
Damn, for the 5:13 Merlin bit you coughed to UNclear your throat. Respect
That beast was their description of a giraffe since they hadn't seen them before...
That was a giraffe this whole time? That’s no fun.
23:39 Roland. The French hyper-chad.
I would love for Joey Wheeler to use this deck and beat kaiba and yugi, this would be super awesome for him
Just a minor nitpick, but Lancelot’s mother wasn’t the same lady of the lake who gave the sword to Arthur.
4:35 French lore* He was originaly from Britain and then shifted to go to "Great britain" which is the UK
i honestly was wondering when this architype would be covered
@king zaxa yep. This is a new better one
Waiting for the new version of six samurai video then.
De Ja Vu.
Oh my god, I am glad I am not a Welsh
I can't even imagine how triggered I would be after god knows how many times Arthurian legends called ''English'' instead of Welsh. Dude, his whole legend is based on how he defended his lands against the ''English''.
People outside of the landmass get confused because of everything that’s in ‘The UK’ now
It isn't necessarily Welsh since the main part of it being Welsh is merlin, who was a prophet in welsh legends.
Its a myth everybody adopted it. Its like how every countries royalty claimed to be a descendant of the romans.
@@OsirusHandle Or like how Romans and Greece had the same gods but one named them after planets

Rebellion against my beautiful father, Clarent Blood Arthur!
i have been watching too much fate....i deadass read "noble arms" as "noble phantasm"
Insert Sonic and the Black Knight reference.
I have been waiting for this for a long time. Thanks 👍
This deck is hard to use in Duel Links because of only 3 places allowed for Spell/Trap cards
@@Haseo123653 Yeah they win in terms of personality but in terms of Martial skill they pale in comparison
Lancelot would 1 vs 1 all 12 paladins of Charlemagne by himself

As a former NK player, this was appreciated and is my low my fav of the series.

Little late, but it's here!
You have to update this video now, new cards are out
Dude I tried to make a deck with this archetype and its a real pain trying to fit them all in and still keep an acceptable margin of synergy. Seriously, its just like what's happening with performapals.
I really wanna play this deck it's my third favorite archetype behind sky strikers and invoked (also I'm a big fan of the Knights of the Round Table)
if the Noble knight deck was in Arc-V, would it be in the Standard dimension or the XYZ dimension?
Just checked my playlist "archetype trivia", and yep the og Noble Knight video was made private.
Shame too, cause that one had the Knight of Loyalty Bedivere from Cardfight Vanguard (as an explanation of one of the noble knights) in it
Out with the old unfortunately, hope you enjoy the new Updated / Remaster Of the Archetype though
@@TGSAnime the music's fun, i'm having a good time :). Also, you never answered my question: if i were to write a script for the Black Luster Soldier archetype, would you cover it in a future video?
Don't know if you can consider Gawain's decision to side with his sworn king as turning his back on Lancelot, especially as at that point, he had just slain at least one of Gawain's brothers.
Maybe future support cards will probably probably being the key word here will probably be released in the near future
I would wield Hauteclere the Oliver's sword, after all we have almost the same name and i also like Dual Wielding Swords, dual wielding is pretty badass
Same
I love the Noble Knights playstyle and it's story, but it's a shame that it's unwinnable to play with in modern meta.
I been playing this archetype for 7 years, it makes me sad how much the new infernoble knights just overshadows my boys. Actually in one shop I heard someone actually say "They gave Isult a archetype finally!" and it made me want to cry
this makes me die inside, no matter what I'll keep on playing the orignal noboel knights no matter how trash they are
Isn't you can combine them in one deck?
I have fun making a 3k XYZ Artorugus that can't be destroyed by battle, card effect, and be targeted
@@Lucias17 oh yes I did that. and let me just say that it really gets me POed when the new cards always say FIRE WARRIOR Its like they are ashamed of being noble knights!!! I strongly believe they were suppose to be a flame swordsman deck but made it Noble Knights just to get its support. Also no one uses Morgan and it makes me cry ;~;
morgan is also arthur's half-sisiter, as the share a mother
And they are Mordred's parents. He got the story wrong.
@@dragonmaster613 not in the origian version of the story, that thing of morgan being Moldred's mom was added later, overly sarcastic productiond did two videos about the arturian legends
The fact your ye olde English voice makes this documentary even more epic!
why does yugioh Astolfo look like the Fate Astolfo XD maybe they used the Fate one as a base for the yugioh one
I do not need any of those sword for I already have one. A sword that was bestowed to me by my father. A sword that I have trusted from the day I was given and when the dawn came, I raise it to the sky to honor my ancestor.
Watching this now, I can hear some music from For Honor
Wonder if we'll get noble knights for the other three attributes in the future, there's probably other knights out there that can be used for water, wind, and earth
Caliburn. It's like me, nice and stable, doesn't give much power like Gallatin, but it keeps it. And gives you 500 LP. :D
Head of sneake body of leopard and horze leg friend i think he slay a jirrafe 😂
Im so jealous XD you got all the prismatic noble knight cards
Is funny how I end up watching your 2 year old nobleknight like week ago and here you making new one
Can u play infernoble knight in master duel I love your video and can't wait for part 2 when the rest of the infernoble knight come out all 12
I was hoping for a Fate reference, I'm not disappointed.
I'm a huge Arthurian legend nerd, so I jumped to get this deck as soon as I saw the first few cards on Duel Links. Still hoping that they give Lancelot his redemption card, or even a dark form of Mordred
I was not expecting to see Fate today, I’m looking forward to showing someone this video haha
You serious?
Fate is LITERALLY about the Holy Grail. Nobel knights are the first thing that comes to mind when its connected to this series regarding the Arthurian Legends
for the final question i’d go with Caliburn because of that +500lp, imma be immortal
these Archetype videos makes me wanna play them
I wish we could have a version of Lancelot that isn't implied to be evil. Would be nice. Since in the actual Mythos it never really feels like either Arthur or Lancelot were evil. But rather like Lancelot committed a crime of passion.
I wonder if he has watched the fate series before
