Correction: Sergey didn't work for the Fusion Dimension but rather he worked for a man named Roger who IS from the Fusion Dimension serving as the Chief of Sector Security in the Synchro Dimension in Arc-V. As Roger's muscle he gave Sergey the Earthbound deck along with the Harmonic Synchro Fusion spell card. Fun fact Sergey's previous Thorn archetype deck also had synchros and fusions too. The Earthbound Prisoners and Servants also have a theme of being in shackles and restraints which ties to another fun fact about Sergey where he is a slave who answers to Roger with no question and he enjoys being in pain. Most of the time Roger is in full control until he gets triggered by the words and feelings of certain duelists. In both of his actual on-screen duels Yuzu not wishing to harm Sergey made him go insane and going against orders to beat and capture Yuzu. He not only brutally beats Yuzu he nearly kills her. Then as for his Duel with Jack, Roger was in total control of his actions until Jack's spirit resonated with Sergey's will and Roger lost all control over him.

While none of the Earthbound Gods are particularly good, Aslla Piscu is actually part of the reason Union Carrier is banned, since there was a pretty consistent FTK you could do with it. Kind of surprised he didn't mention how Wiraqocha Rasca has a very different effect in the anime. It could just drop an opponent's life points to 1, I think at the cost of it not attacking that turn. Ironically enough, the Earthbound Prisoners are really good in a Red Demon's Dragon deck, especially Stone Sweeper since it can search all the Resonator monsters.
The OG immortals themselves need retrains. Most of their unique effects are mid at best, but Cusillu, the monkey, is the worst because you can’t even use its effect. It requires Cusilla to be attacked into, but the immortals can’t be attacked. And there’s no card that cherry picks which effects can and can’t be used; it’s all or none. Meaning, if you tried to negate its battle protection effect, you also negate its battle effect, making it essentially just a 2800 beat stick with nothing else to it
Actually, you can use Cussila's effect. Just attack a monster with more attack points and then use it's eff to prevent it's own destruction by battle. Still bad tho
@@nickxx.I honestly think there effects should be that they turn into a field card when destroyed to reference how they kinda fight inside the signs in their duels

If they do make linewalkers based on the other dark signers I could see something like "Earthbound linewalker queen" for Carly to reference the fact that Jack is often referred as the king
As someone who really likes the archetypes in in yugioh, i really appreciate your videos on all of them and all the detail you go into from how they appeared in the anime, to the things that inspired their creation.Often times you cover archetypes i didn't even know existed like the fairytale archetype or the starwars archetype which makes me want to build that deck (even though i don't even play anymore haha). So thanks for making such fun videos.
I love running URU in my insect queen seal of orichalcos deck. Fits really well and prevents attacks by your oppenent entirely while insect queen generates tokens for its ability.
I absolutely love Heartbound Immortals, they are one of my favourite Yu-Gi-Oh archetype ever made I've always been really fascinated by the Nazca Lines and seeing a group of cards about them was so cool!
Your original earthbound video is what got me into Yu-Gi-Oh as well as inspired me to build the deck (albeit a shitty version of an earthbound deck lol) so the whiplash to see you post this today LMAO, great video by the way
So this is a fun coincidence. I was thinking of a “Evil Yusei” card called Earthbound Immortal Starfall Dragon or Starfall Crater dragon. Which is special summoned from the deck (this can not be stopped or prevented) and then like a crashing meteor obliterates all on the field
@@gameuniverse5973 yeah I symbolism I was going for was the remnant will and evil of the earthbound immortals dragged stardust dragon from space, and as it falls trapped by gravity the same power it used to protect, Stardust Sanctuary, would now be used to hurt those Stardust Dragon has hoped to save.
7:13 we have a Carly Carmine Dark Signer card. Look at Dark Signer Carly Carmine's clothes, then look at her archetype as a Dark Signer, then look at the only Tuner in that archetype. Fortune Lady Past is Dark Signer Carly Carmine

On the topic of Earthbound’s, I recommend covering Jack vs Sergey for a duel analysis vid. It’s a really good duel and one of my favourite Jack duel in general.
8:00 Whether this was intentional or not, but if you take Earthbound Greater Line Walker and Earthbound Immortal WR then combined they have 3K Atk and Def to align if Greater Line Walker’s effect goes off. This could be a nod to Earthbound Immortal WR being the Immortal Roman used in the anime.
damn, the earhbound archetype sure brings back memories.... i remember once having been gifted the Wiraqocha Rasca tin box which was stolen the first i took it to school with me... Now that i think about, i'm not sure i want those memories back -__-
I love the Earthbound monsters! Their aesthetics are so cool. I even remember when I first summoned Chacu Chalua in a tournament. It was awesome. I've been playing the newer version of the Earthbound deck on MD and i think it's been doing pretty well. Grasha is just so cool! I even run 3 of the Immortals, so i can pick and choose which would work best for the situation at hand. I just wish they didn't focus so many of the earlier support cards on tribute summoning the Immortals.
I loved the concept in the anime that when a duel would start with a dark signer, nazca lines would appear and it would turn into a life or death speed duel speeding down the glowing lanes. Man... those were the days! Peak 5d's for sure!
I enjoy what they have done with Earthbounds and looking forward to what they do with them, my hope is we get support for each of the dark signers where they mix earthbound and there archetype , and for fun since there was that vision of Jack as a dark signer I like to see a earthbound dark version Red Dragon.
As someone who plays earthbound in duel links, I really enjoy using the fusion and synchro monsters and I try to get the greater line Walker a 3000 point earthbound immortal monster out, I've done it once and it was awesome
I've been playing this deck recently, and it's so much fun. Whether it's using what I have to clear the field in Battle Phase, then using Gremlin and Gremlina/Kraken to bring out Grasha, or using Gremlina to grab Greater Linewalker, and then using him to grab Chacu Challhua to get the opponent to 1800 LP without even attacking. It's a ton of fun.
After playing the Immortals in my Servant deck, the ones i would recommend the most would he Chacu Challhua for a sort of back up plan if Geo Grasha gets destroyed for a stall and burn, and then a tie between Uru and Ccapac Apu for the big body hitters for a finisher.
Dark Signers was simply peak YGO. 5D's crashed and burned _spectacularly_ after it - it was borderline unwatchable for me. When I saw the Earthbound Servants in Arc-V, I immediately fell in love. A callback to my favorite villain team and an expansion on their lore (if indirect)? Heck yeah! Needless to say, I have a lot of love for Earthbound decks. :D
Rasca is a hand rip tech for Floo but the issue I ran into was needing more cards on the field to shuffle back in the deck. The lil birds go to the DD no matter what unless they’re face down
I tried Earthbound Servants, and I think I keep playing them. The opponent keeps attacking Grasha, losing since they don't read the card's effect. I most likely have Earthbound Prison up, so I have a backup in case Grasha gets destroyed, and if I have any of the Immortals in my hand, I could use them as fusion material. Also, the only spells/traps that involved the Immortals I considered are Offering to the Immortals and Earthbound Whirlwind. Offering doubles as a searcher and spawning 2 tokens you could link into Linkuriboh, and Whirlwind is a discount Harpie's Feather Duster.
I like how the card based on Rex lets you special summon him if you get to the game state he had for most of the final duel of the dark signer arc Sun dragon inti and moon dragon quills his two synchros which swapped between the field and graveyard
New Linewalkers based on the other Dark Signers would be so cool! I wonder what their names would be though. Earthbound Loyal Linewalker for Devack, due to being loyal to the Dark Signers. Earthbound Guiding Linewalker for Greiger due to having led Jack to Nazca via a dream by the Crimson Devil. Earthbound Enforcing Linewalker for Kalin Kessler, a reference to his group the Enforcers. Earthbound Avenging Linewalker for Misty Tredwell, since she became a Dark Signer to avenger her brother’s death. Earthbound Chaser Linewalker for Cary Carmine, who chased after Jack Atlas and chased after scoops… to her death. And then a retrain of the original Earthbound Linewalker into Earthbound Betrayer Linewalker. Representing Roman Goodwin and how he betrayed Yusei’s father, plus having people betray others by controlling them.
I love the new cards and it’s really cool that they can be splashed as field spell searchers or getting Baronne and Dracostopelia. Unfortunately, that’s all they’re good for as with their main deck only being 3 proper monsters, it’s hard to play it pure. So Runick, Fluffal, Tear and maybe ABC Earthbound’s the only real way to go rn.
I personally love to splash 3 copies each of HSF, the level 1 Earthbound tuner & the level 5 Earthbound effect monster, and Kraken into my Resonator/RDA deck, so I can get out Red Rising Dragon super quick. Imho, they pair SUPER WELL together.
7:30 let talk about the Signer arm part. So who’s arm belong to? Well it was Roman & he the one who cut off his own arm off & transplant it & then he gave it to his brother Rex.
Unrelated to the video, but i wanted to ask something. Yesterday night, after years and years, I got back into yugioh. I downloaded Master Duel and went with the Synchro deck after the tutorial. Any advice on how to improve the deck? Which cards should I go after? I'm not liking the deck that much as of now but I currently have zero knowledge on how to build a new one. Thanks in advance guys.
I'd love Earthbound deck. Due to one time, I saw a two-card FTK ("Ground Keeper" and a free-Special-Summon level 4), I build my own Earthbound deck. Although my deck suffers from inconsistency in meta, I sometimes have advantage due to opponent not knowing how/when to disrupt my move (technically, one must always aim at the Field Spell).
Fun fact about the earthbound prisoner There levels are one 5 and two tuners level 3 and 1 They are like level 5 "oracle of the sun" and the two tuners level 3 "fire aunt ascator" and level 1 "supay" Also for sun and moon dragon that are level 8 and 6 the synchro earthbound are 8 and 6 Even the fusions have the same levels Except the big fusion is level 10 as the earthbound immortal
Chacu Challhua will always be special for me thanks to the Nexus 2011 NDS game. I run it in my Speed Duel Blackwing Deck and during the story mode final, it ended the Meklords gauntlet by its own undefeated.
Liked the earthbound immortals. Absolutely love the earthbound servants. I’ve been wanting the servants to be real for years when i first saw them in Arc V. So happy they finally got printed.
Favorite Earthbound? Ccapac Apu, no question. As for if the archetype is viable as a deck, I think they are decent enough for your local tournament. However, the meta nowadays is going to make it next to impossible for you to do anything. All it takes is 1 Ash Blossom and you can say bye bye to your LP. Especially since it would be your opponent's third turn when you only had one.
For me, my old Earthbound Deck did run all Seven, cause it was a Thief Deck. I would constantly be stealing my Opponent’s Monsters, and if I needed a different Immortal on the field, I’d just sacrifice the current one and another Monster to summon it. Plus by getting them into the Graveyard early on, I could call them back when need be without worrying too much. Twas very gimmicky though, not gonna lie.
Ccarahyua i find the most freaky, the way it looks it's limp thin body and it's creepy smile i find him more scary than the rest. If you watched the episodes where it appeared you'll know what i mean
I feel the Immortals could go rouge-level, with a bit of dedicated Support. Maybe something called "Earthbound Tributes", which would be 3 or 4 MainDeck Monsters for each Immortal, who overlap with their respectives Immortal´s Type, and have effects that help with Field Setup and fascillitating the unique Effects.
I can't believe you forgot my favorite Earthbound monster, "Earthbound Spirit"! It's a level 4 Earth Fiend monster with 500 ATK and 2000 DEF. (And no effects.) I did have a funny thought though, since some Superheavy Samurai decks can get to the point of having a Synchro monster or Two without using their normal summon, and there's an Earthbound Field Spell that lets Synchro monsters count as two tributes, it's not a GOOD version of the deck, but is there a world where you could make Superheavy Samurai Earthbound Immortal Blind Second OTK work-? Obviously if the field spell goes the whole deck goes with it, because there's a spell in grave and no field spell on board- but I've gotta wonder if it could do anything at all XD
My favorite EarthBound is one you didn't name it come out way before 5D's ever came out it a very old card and the name of the card is Earthbound Spirit lol 😂

With the way Thousand Eyes Dragon functions in the game, it's kind of like with Ghirahim where the true villains servant was frightening to battle, but they're who you need to be afraid of.
i swear that monster anime version is stupidly OP because he can have all the effect of all dark monster in grave and dark monster is one of the most powerful archetype in yugioh game ,Konami was so scare to bring that effect to real life so they had to Neft him into normal synchro
@namle-jk3id And Yet Konami still made Archetypes which stop opponents from playing like Kashtira, Terlament and Branded. But they were worried one Ace was too strong. 😂
@@misterOrca4Hundred Eyes was released in the TCG about 12 years ago which is pretty long with its effect nerfed before Kash and Tear. I would just say it's powercrept. But at the same time, Hundred Eyes was and will always broken with its anime effect. It's effect is stupidly strong that any can deck that can use will play it. In the anime, its materials doesn't even require a Fiend monster.
Jean-Michel Roget. Or as I like to call him, Discount Rex Godwin.
I don't even get half his plans. Whenever he is close to succeeding he changes plans last-minute like Rise of Skywalker Palpatine.
@@mystery8820 I believe his plan is to gain total control of The City through absolute order using Sector Security. In the case for Yuzu it's using her as a bargaining chip or leverage against Akaba Leo.
@@VanishEclipse4867
In short, he wants to overthrow the Professor as the BETTER conqueror via using either a Zarc or Ray piece as leverage.
Plus, it makes more sense if Roget splintered from Leo's Akademia.
@@mystery8820lemme tell you something funny, he didn't even know about Ray and Zarc he was just aware that they were important cuz he was told to look out for Yuri and Serena look alikes😂
Dude basically went rogue iirc where he wanted to rule Synchro but when the Lancers arrived Fusion took noticed and basically made him try to pretend that he was doing his job.
He was catching Yuzu and Yuya as bargaining chips just in case Fusion notices he was tricking them😅
Missed oppurtunity to have him use a synchro Ancient Gear deck as well
@@dearickangelonej.legaspi6686
If I were Professor Akaba, I'd blacklist and fire Roget for not knowing his place.
You forget to mention that Hundred eyes Dragon can copy the effects of an Earthbound immortal/Servant in the GY.
"a card is in the field zone" is one of the most lenient requirements i think ive ever seen on a card lol
You have to rember this was back in the day when the field spell zone was shared by both fields, everyone was main decking destruction and tributing was a waste.
If they do make linewalkers based on the other dark signers I could see something like "Earthbound linewalker queen" for Carly to reference the fact that Jack is often referred as the king
That and she is his biggest ship.
Yes

Fortune Lady Past is the Dark Signer Carly Card
It would interestingly make sense if Sergei was secretly a Dark Signer.
I absolutely love Heartbound Immortals, they are one of my favourite Yu-Gi-Oh archetype ever made
I've always been really fascinated by the Nazca Lines and seeing a group of cards about them was so cool!
Thank you for redoing this video. I've always loved the Eatthbounds. Maybe you could redo your Gimmick Puppet or Clear archetype videos?
Shoutout to the cousin of the Earthbound archetype, Earthbound Spirit.
YES!!! MY FAVORITE ARCHETYPE BABY!!!
Your original earthbound video is what got me into Yu-Gi-Oh as well as inspired me to build the deck (albeit a shitty version of an earthbound deck lol) so the whiplash to see you post this today LMAO, great video by the way
Just built an Earthbound deck, glad to see this video drop only a few days later
Earthbound immortal fallen star dragon
Referencing his fall from grace to evil and the effect your talking about with it crashing on the field
Funfact Dark Signer Carly is already a card.(Its Future Lady Past).
This Archetype has become one of my main decks that I use in Master Duel now, and its just so much fun to play around with. Can't wait to see what the nest Archetype vid is gonna be. Hopefully you will get to Visas in future, but dear lord that's gonna be a lot of cards to look at.
This was actually my first time hearing about the “Earthbound Immortal” archetype, and it seems very interesting!!!
I like how this video was posted a day later i finished rewatching this arc.
Greenpeace: "These cards insult me. I need to trample over all of them for a publicity stunt ASAP!"
Gotta love how Rex/Roman had the signer hand in a case is super similarly to that of how Yubel's hand was kept in the 3rd season of Yugioh.
Even though Red Nova/Scarlet Nova is not part of the archetype yet, I would love to see it printed in OCG as an actual Earthbound Immortal card
On the topic of Earthbound’s, I recommend covering Jack vs Sergey for a duel analysis vid. It’s a really good duel and one of my favourite Jack duel in general.
And one where Roget and Sergey would win until Sergey broke free from Roget's control and ignored the assured OTK strategy.
the speed duels in 5Ds made the original earthbounds so op at their time since you cant get rid of the speed world field spell in those.
There’s already a DS Carly card. She’s called Fortune Lady Past. :P
Hopefully this means we will get duel breakdowns for the other Dark signer duels. Cause we only have Yusei vs Kalin R1
7:09 Dark signer Carly is already a monster she’s Forture Lady past
Earthbound use to be one of my favorite yugioh decks back in the 5ds
Thanks for showcasing and explaining. Got the new cards and was unsure how to properly set up a deck.
New video! I've been waiting for the Earthbounds for months
Great archetype vid Sam. Do you still intend to do boss monster cards for all the Master duel Yu-Gi-Oh series?
@TGSAnime,
Was is the music title for that epic synthwave music playing from 0:00 to 3:16? Absolutely incredible
8:00
Whether this was intentional or not, but if you take Earthbound Greater Line Walker and Earthbound Immortal WR then combined they have 3K Atk and Def to align if Greater Line Walker’s effect goes off.
This could be a nod to Earthbound Immortal WR being the Immortal Roman used in the anime.
I enjoyed opening the Stardust Overdrive packs. Good times. 😉
damn, the earhbound archetype sure brings back memories.... i remember once having been gifted the Wiraqocha Rasca tin box which was stolen the first i took it to school with me...
Now that i think about, i'm not sure i want those memories back -__-
7:08 - I never realized one of the signers put their legs on the table. Maybe it's Carly. Not sure which episode this was.
Idk but the way you said "so she couldn't escape" with the clip made me laugh so hard
As someone who plays earthbound in duel links, I really enjoy using the fusion and synchro monsters and I try to get the greater line Walker a 3000 point earthbound immortal monster out, I've done it once and it was awesome
9:05 Fiend tuna?
Sorry.
You have great hair bro like always I appreciate the consistency
5Ds: Dies to MST
ARC V: Look at me! I’m relevant again!
Mythical ancient dragons vs large drawings on the ground
Earthbound Immortal vs Alien
Ancient Aliens vs Area 51
I like how the card based on Rex lets you special summon him if you get to the game state he had for most of the final duel of the dark signer arc
Sun dragon inti and moon dragon quills his two synchros which swapped between the field and graveyard
I enjoyed playing these cards on my PSP in Tag Force. Their summoning and attack animations are well animated.
15 years man. A 12 year old who watched the 5ds anime would be 27 by the time this support came out. Literally almost 30. Wild.
You forgot to talk about the Crimson Devil. He was an Earthbound Immortal and how Jack got Red Nova Dragon.
Id love to play Earthbounds myself, you did a fantastic job with this video
Fun fact about the earthbound prisoner
There levels are one 5 and two tuners level 3 and 1
They are like level 5 "oracle of the sun" and the two tuners level 3 "fire aunt ascator" and level 1 "supay"
Also for sun and moon dragon that are level 8 and 6
the synchro earthbound are 8 and 6
Even the fusions have the same levels
Except the big fusion is level 10 as the earthbound immortal
Maybe something
called "Earthbound Tributes", which would be 3 or 4 MainDeck Monsters for each Immortal,
who overlap with their respectives Immortal´s Type, and have effects that help with Field
Setup and fascillitating the unique Effects.
Whoa, you forgot the ultimate Earthbound monster. The strongest, the almighty…
Earthbound Spirit
I can't believe you forgot my favorite Earthbound monster, "Earthbound Spirit"! It's a level 4 Earth Fiend monster with 500 ATK and 2000 DEF. (And no effects.)
I did have a funny thought though, since some Superheavy Samurai decks can get to the point of having a Synchro monster or Two without using their normal summon, and there's an Earthbound Field Spell that lets Synchro monsters count as two tributes, it's not a GOOD version of the deck, but is there a world where you could make Superheavy Samurai Earthbound Immortal Blind Second OTK work-? Obviously if the field spell goes the whole deck goes with it, because there's a spell in grave and no field spell on board- but I've gotta wonder if it could do anything at all XD
UPDATE:
I MADE IT WORK
IT'S BAD, BUT I MADE IT WORK
My favorite EarthBound is one you didn't name it come out way before 5D's ever came out it a very old card and the name of the card is Earthbound Spirit lol 😂
Can't wait to see Perfomapal/Performage and D/D archetypes. They are my favorites.
