It almost looks like after defeating and absorbing vendread battlelord, revendread slayer went mad now being forced to inherit the very thing he sought to destroy. Though he was still techically himself, he was blinded by his rage as well as the bloodthirst of battlelord. So during his time as revendread executioner he went on a rampage as shown in vendread nightmare. He was succesful in executing every vendread but still felt anger until he was reminded of why he was fighting. In daybreak he is seen kneeling and holding the locket of his wife, while the bits of him that resembled battlelord break off and begin to dissolve. Now remembering who he is he becomes avendread savior. He now has a purple glow from his eyes, no longer red from rage but also not blue from the virus. but the perfect combination of himself and the mutation. Saivor is now his own being, no longer using powers of any of the vendread he had slain but now his own purified form. Perhaps the newest hero in skyscraper city? {kinda like the avengers i guess} but that card looks like a hero posing over the city he protects. [he kinda looks like an undead avian too] [hes not avian tho...] So look our elemental heros, skyscraper city has a new Savior.. but then again, i could be wrong ^.^
I like your story... But i think Savior's story doesn't end here... If in case they add more to the archetype they might continue with Savior looking for the origin of the virus to prevent it from happening again...
That story fits perfectly. Probs man! I really hope konami will make more support and continue that story. These cards are so unique. That's why I love them plus they're in the same universe as the hero cards and I just absolutely love heroes.

His eyes are purple now, where before his eyes were red, symbolizing that he's still haunted by the trauma of his past, but he's accepted it and is trying to move on. What do you guys think?
Vendread daybrek its the last event of the story. After destroying all the vendreads, the vendread executor cant handle the power of battle lord, so he starting desintegrate. But somehow he maneged to survive and then become the vendread savior (this is what i've imagined)
I guess that's why he was named Savior because he saved everyone from the zombies and exacted his revenge but continued to protect the city even after the apocalypse...
I don't think it has anything to do with him not being able to handle the power, I think the sun killed him, these zombies probably die if exposed to sunlight kinda like vampires

Also a reference to the Spawn comics as well as Spawn also became a savior/angel at some point.
The reason why I like to run vendread decks, not because it's good on play It's good on it's lore (and everytime I saw the pictures of vendread origin, it makes me sad somehow)
So vendread anima worked for the umbrella corporation, they did some black magic and summoned the vendread core from another dimension, the evil professor on the project sacrificed anima to perform tests and killed her, the core scaped and transformed the professor into vendread bastard and everyone in the lab and outside in the city into the vendread zombies. When her husband found out about the experiment he sacrificed himself to anima and turned himself into revendread slayer, now filled with rage and wants to kill bastard. Slayer goes around the city killing the infected and chimeras, then challenges Bastard to a final battle. Slayer ultimately loses and gets eaten by Bastard but it wasn't over. Slayer manages to absorb Bastard and evolves into his final form, Revendread Executioner. Plot twist: Slayer's human form was the secret identity of elemental hero wingman or something
Here’s an idea on how to make it better: Vendread pendulum monsters! It gets the monster on the field and gets ritual spells/monsters into your hand so you can maximize the effects of the monsters. Plus you could have a pendulum monster that can be used in a ritual summon from the pendulum zone!
I think the name of "Vendread Anima" is based around "animate" (bring to life) , you can banish her from your graveyard to special summon (bring to life) one of your banished Vendread monsters.
The influences from Spawn and Resident Evil is awesome. Also I love how in Revendread Origin you can see the blue lights in his eyes being overpowered by the red glow of his fury and rage.
Dude Vendreads are so F-ing cool. And They always did remind me of Elemental/Destiny heros for some reason. The same way Aster referred to Jaden's cards as the "E series" and His own as the "D series" I would love for the Vendreads to be referred to a the "Z series" or maybe new support know as Z-Heros.

Once he stabilized Revendreads red power and Vendread Battlelords blue power combined to make Revendread Saviors purple power. What proves this even more is that Revendread Savior has Vendread Battlelords shoulder plates and a sword in/on his right arm confirming the two powers have stabilized and fused equally.
I think that in the timline, Avendread Savior watches the city after he defeated whole plague, beacose the city looks lighted up like if people camed back to it. I also like how Savior has more of a wings this time instead of ''arms'', he is like a guardian angel of the city.

Also since you mentioned the city looking like hero city, which e-hero do you think would be the best at dealing with vendreads, i think blade edge, and the fire e-heroes would be best suited.
yess love your Archetype series. You should cover The world legacy decks the same way you did the Duel Terminal decks. So many of their cards tells so many stories. From the Crusadias, Orcust, Gaurd Dragons, (my favorite) Krawlers, Mekk Knights. So many possible videos.
Wouldn't it be cool if they added a synchro vendread that ""infected" opponents monsters. Like if u attack and if the monster is sent to the graveyard at the end of battlephase it is placed on your side of the field as a zombie type or something

if you look closely at Revendread Slayer and Vendread Battlelord's design you could actually see a huge resemblance to destiny hero Dystopia and Dominance but with the viruses corruption adding bone like spikes and turning dystopia's suit into hard armor and Dominance's armor turning to bone like plates and his sword being change as well and the vendread core replacing his D symbol, add to the fact that this is the hero city we can say that all the important monsters could be corrupted Destiny heroes slightly after the E heroes became Evil heroes being the reason to why their absent and Slayee having multiple forms could point to his multiple Dystopia forms and if his really dystopia thats actually really neat because it alludes to his name's actual meaning
This story is so sad heck revendread slayers story reminds me of doom slayer similar in both name and story doom slayer lost his family revendred slayer lost his lover hence they both declared war on the things that took them
I'd almost say judging by his JP name, Vendread Battle Lord/Vendead Bastard is PROBABLY the origins of the entire corruption. He's a 'bastard', as in having no source (being the source himself), and is the one Slayer is trying to kill. Also, I'd say Avengread Savior might be the 'final' point of the timeline. His eyes are purple, so maybe he's a fully combined Slayer (Red) who has mastered Battle Lord's power (Blue) and now acts probably in a similar capacity to other superheroes, which I only say because he's standing dramatically on a building like that.
Vendread is my favorite deck in duel links it's very fun to play and damn I love so much Revendread Slayer and Revendread Origin design, can't wait for the rest of support to come in future.
One interesting detail I noticed is the Level relationship between Anima/Core, Slayer, Battlelord and Executor. Battlelord, a Level 7 monsters, cane be summoned using Slayer, a Level 6 monster, and Anima or Core, Level 1 monsters as materials, which can represent how Battlelord possesses the Vendred Core and is looking to consume Slayer. HOWEVER, by the same logic, Executor, a Level 8 monsters, can be summoned using BATTLELORD and Anima or Core as materials. I imagine this all represents how the final battle between Slayer and Battlelord might have gone down: Battlelord is able to defeat Slayer and absorb him using the Vendred Core, as we see in Vendred Revolution. However, as he is being consumed, Slayer is able to connect with his wife's spirit (Anima) and through the Power of Love is able to overwhelm Battlelord and absorb HIM instead, maybe from the inside out, Guyver-style. Which would explain why Executor looks like Battlelord warped into Slayer's body shape. Additionally, I don't think Daybreak shows the end of Slayer's and Battlelord's fight. For one, the person we see looks much more like SAVIOR than Executor. I think after consuming Battlelord, Executor went on a violent rampage, slaughtering every other remaining Vendred, which we see in Vendred Nightmare. I think what we see in Daybreak is the point where the madness finally fades from Executor and his transformation into Avendread Savior.
If you play into that concept. The Kaiju archetype are part of the Elemental Hero and Destiny Hero lore too. Since they each share cities with similar designs. I would like to think that the Vendreads are evil spirits that roam the world at night and Vendread Slayer was an Al Simmons type character that nearly became a Vendread Revenant but took fate into his own hands and rebelled against Vendread Battlelord who played as a more Malebogia type of antagonist to Vendread Slayer. The main evidence being Vendread Daybreak's art.
Avendread Savior is Revendread Slayer’s final form. He’s basically reborn as a hero after the fall of the Vendread, as a sign that says he’ll protect the city and all people who survived and suffered from the events of the Vendread.
While it does have cards inspired from the Resident Evil. My personal favorite detail about this archetype relates to Slayer and his story. As it relates and inspired from the Image Comics Superhero series, and one of the most badass fictional characters ever, Spawn. Just look up his design and origin to see why.
I feel like the Vendread archtype is a reference to Ninja Slayer with Revendread Slayer wanting revenge against all the Vendread like Ninja Slayer wanting revenge against all ninjas
The city is skyscraper and slayer was the first elemental hero and all the heroes are people infected with a new strain of the virus which inherited slayers thirst for the destruction of evil everywhere and it also gave them abilities depending on the element they were around
I was watching this thinking "Who does that remind me of?" and went "AH! Yes!" the moment you said "Spawn". If you hadn't said anything I'd of gone away thinking it was Invictus (Quinlan) from The Strain. But it being Spawn adds weight to it being set in Hero City.

4:24 it could be representative of the Core resonance within all different Vendreads , and Revendread Slayer suppresses through his evolutions, contrary to Battlelord and Chimera.
You think there would be an army of edgelords trying to make this f**king METAL F**KING deck work, this has all the greatest hits of the 90s written all over it, it has the ultra dark and super bad ass hero, the villainous villain that killed the hero's wife (allegedly), an army of faceless monsters so its ok to kill 'em all and make the dark hero look that much cooler, a revenge story dripping with heavy metal background music (I think I hear Ace of Spades by Motorhead!) and has that late 90s/early 2000s anime dark cheese slapdashed all over it that you'd think someone SOMEWHERE would try to make this a competitive deck!
Fun fact about revenant, it's revival effect isn't once per turn. So if you have imperial iron wall it can't straight up just wall off your opponent from attacks
...so no one is going to point out that this series is also based on 'The Thing'? The dogs are the Thing Dogs. Chimera is the Thing in its monsterous form. Heck, the idea of absorbing other creatures to make bigger monsters is The Thing's whole gimmick!

I think his eyes is purple because he gained complete control of his rage and powers and will use those powers for good...

So many of their cards tells so many stories. From the Crusadias, Orcust, Gaurd Dragons, (my favorite) Krawlers, Mekk Knights. So many possible videos.

Wouldn't it be cool if they added a synchro vendread that ""infected" opponents monsters. Like if u attack and if the monster is sent to the graveyard at the end of battlephase it is placed on your side of the field as a zombie type or something
That sounds similar to the Plaguespreader Synchros

I swear the Vendread lore goes deeper just because of the Skyscraper in the background. Like have the E-Heroes become corrupted by the virus? Was the virus mixed in with the powers unstable to the point they couldn't live long? Where does the Destiny Heroes come into play? I swear this Archetype is amazingly exacuted because of the lore

The universe of The Vendread story sound like something that NEEDS a crossover with either Spawn or Marvel's Midnight Suns.
His wife seems to have transformed into chimera because the trap card where we see chimera and revendread is called reunion like he was seeing his wife again

if you look closely at Revendread Slayer and Vendread Battlelord's design you could actually see a huge resemblance to destiny hero Dystopia and Dominance but with the viruses corruption adding bone like spikes and turning dystopia's suit into hard armor and Dominance's armor turning to bone like plates and his sword being change as well and the vendread core replacing his D symbol, add to the fact that this is the hero city we can say that all the important monsters could be corrupted Destiny heroes slightly after the E heroes became Evil heroes being the reason to why their absent and Slayee having multiple forms could point to his multiple Dystopia forms and if his really dystopia thats actually really neat because it alludes to his name's actual meaning
I started playing this archetype on duel links and I absolutely love the play style
This story is so sad heck revendread slayers story reminds me of doom slayer similar in both name and story doom slayer lost his family revendred slayer lost his lover hence they both declared war on the things that took them

Considering that this deck is hella based on Re3 i absolutely love it
I'd almost say judging by his JP name, Vendread Battle Lord/Vendead Bastard is PROBABLY the origins of the entire corruption. He's a 'bastard', as in having no source (being the source himself), and is the one Slayer is trying to kill.
Also, I'd say Avengread Savior might be the 'final' point of the timeline. His eyes are purple, so maybe he's a fully combined Slayer (Red) who has mastered Battle Lord's power (Blue) and now acts probably in a similar capacity to other superheroes, which I only say because he's standing dramatically on a building like that.
Vendread is my favorite deck in duel links it's very fun to play and damn I love so much Revendread Slayer and Revendread Origin design, can't wait for the rest of support to come in future.
One interesting detail I noticed is the Level relationship between Anima/Core, Slayer, Battlelord and Executor. Battlelord, a Level 7 monsters, cane be summoned using Slayer, a Level 6 monster, and Anima or Core, Level 1 monsters as materials, which can represent how Battlelord possesses the Vendred Core and is looking to consume Slayer. HOWEVER, by the same logic, Executor, a Level 8 monsters, can be summoned using BATTLELORD and Anima or Core as materials.
I imagine this all represents how the final battle between Slayer and Battlelord might have gone down: Battlelord is able to defeat Slayer and absorb him using the Vendred Core, as we see in Vendred Revolution. However, as he is being consumed, Slayer is able to connect with his wife's spirit (Anima) and through the Power of Love is able to overwhelm Battlelord and absorb HIM instead, maybe from the inside out, Guyver-style. Which would explain why Executor looks like Battlelord warped into Slayer's body shape.
Additionally, I don't think Daybreak shows the end of Slayer's and Battlelord's fight. For one, the person we see looks much more like SAVIOR than Executor. I think after consuming Battlelord, Executor went on a violent rampage, slaughtering every other remaining Vendred, which we see in Vendred Nightmare. I think what we see in Daybreak is the point where the madness finally fades from Executor and his transformation into Avendread Savior.
If you play into that concept. The Kaiju archetype are part of the Elemental Hero and Destiny Hero lore too. Since they each share cities with similar designs. I would like to think that the Vendreads are evil spirits that roam the world at night and Vendread Slayer was an Al Simmons type character that nearly became a Vendread Revenant but took fate into his own hands and rebelled against Vendread Battlelord who played as a more Malebogia type of antagonist to Vendread Slayer. The main evidence being Vendread Daybreak's art.
I love playing this arch type my buddies hate when I use this deck almost as much as my troll deck I used for people when they get cocky

Avendread Savior is Revendread Slayer’s final form. He’s basically reborn as a hero after the fall of the Vendread, as a sign that says he’ll protect the city and all people who survived and suffered from the events of the Vendread.
The backstory of these monsters is so cool pretty awesome when spawn gets mentained and resident evil
While it does have cards inspired from the Resident Evil. My personal favorite detail about this archetype relates to Slayer and his story. As it relates and inspired from the Image Comics Superhero series, and one of the most badass fictional characters ever, Spawn. Just look up his design and origin to see why.
I feel like the Vendread archtype is a reference to Ninja Slayer with Revendread Slayer wanting revenge against all the Vendread like Ninja Slayer wanting revenge against all ninjas

The city is skyscraper and slayer was the first elemental hero and all the heroes are people infected with a new strain of the virus which inherited slayers thirst for the destruction of evil everywhere and it also gave them abilities depending on the element they were around

I was watching this thinking "Who does that remind me of?" and went "AH! Yes!" the moment you said "Spawn". If you hadn't said anything I'd of gone away thinking it was Invictus (Quinlan) from The Strain. But it being Spawn adds weight to it being set in Hero City.

What if this Origin of Vendread savior was the start of the Elemental Hero archetype. As he saved the city many people were aspired to be become heroes like him.
I think savior is the version of Slayer that lost the fight because he has purple eyes instead of slayers red eyes
I like that idea, but I like to think his eyes are purple because he finally got his revenge and his anger was replaced by sorrow and grief as he continued to protect the city
I can’t be the only one that gets strong Tokyo ghoul vibes from this archetype.
4:24 it could be representative of the Core resonance within all different Vendreads , and Revendread Slayer suppresses through his evolutions, contrary to Battlelord and Chimera.
Vendread Chimera is also a The Thing 1982 movie reference. The scene where the dog shows it’s true form is very like Vendread Chimera

Slayer seems like an anime protagonist to me
You think there would be an army of edgelords trying to make this f**king METAL F**KING deck work, this has all the greatest hits of the 90s written all over it, it has the ultra dark and super bad ass hero, the villainous villain that killed the hero's wife (allegedly), an army of faceless monsters so its ok to kill 'em all and make the dark hero look that much cooler, a revenge story dripping with heavy metal background music (I think I hear Ace of Spades by Motorhead!) and has that late 90s/early 2000s anime dark cheese slapdashed all over it that you'd think someone SOMEWHERE would try to make this a competitive deck!
Fun fact about revenant, it's revival effect isn't once per turn. So if you have imperial iron wall it can't straight up just wall off your opponent from attacks
The first time I saw revendread Slayer, I literally thought of spawn, especially with revendread origin

As both a resident evil fan AND Prototype mega fan, I personally love this archetype!
...so no one is going to point out that this series is also based on 'The Thing'? The dogs are the Thing Dogs. Chimera is the Thing in its monsterous form. Heck, the idea of absorbing other creatures to make bigger monsters is The Thing's whole gimmick!
