    What an improvement!! Can you post an installation video? Is there a guide out there I can refer to?

      I can definitely do that but It may take me a day or two. I’d almost guarantee there are other installation videos that you can find from Atlas or staccato.

      I just posted a installation video for you it’s not the best but I hope it’ll help you out!

    I must’ve got a unicorn edition. My prodigy is 100% factory and I know it sounds crazy, but it pulls everytime with that exact same gauge at 2.75 lbs.

      @@jtrawson442 that’s not surprising at all, my friend! The Springfield prodigies were released was very poor quality control. There wasn’t much consistency in these production models. But for the price, I am grateful. have you done tuning tests to make sure everything is tuned properly?

    • @jtrawson442
      @jtrawson442 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@americantrucker9813I have not done any tuning and unfortunately I wouldn’t know where to begin or how. Would love to though

      @@jtrawson442 when I say tune, I just mean to make sure it is already properly tuned. You can check out my channel or Wilson combat, Atlas gun Works, or many other videos on how to tune a 1911 it’s the same as a 2011. If your gun is working fine, then I would just recommend checking the tension of the extractor. I have two prodigies and both of the extractors were out of tune.

      Ok thanks I’ll check it out. My seems to run great. Eats anything I put in it. I’m about 500 rds into it with no malfunctions. Only thing I don’t like is there’s a little bit slide to rail play. Wish I could eliminate that

    I just ordered the medium black flat face from atlas and grip mode screws mine stripped trying to lose them. Nice trigger man I like the take up no reset that you can see ....SWEET...

    • @americantrucker9813
      @americantrucker9813  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Those factory grip screws are so crappy the set that atlas Will send has not only the screws but also the locking nut for the inside of the grip and it actually in my opinion creates a more snug grip to frame fit but you’ll see you when you get them I think you’ll be pretty happy with what you ordered I know I am!

    Does this trigger affect the pull weight at all?

    • @americantrucker9813
      @americantrucker9813  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it can but it’s also possible it won’t it just depends. I have a video on how to do a prodigy trigger job.

    Was that just a drop-in replacement, no other adjustments? I just bought the same gun, will have it on 11/20. Looking to change to the Atlas trigger as well

    • @butchflorentino814
      @butchflorentino814 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nevermind, just read the other comments and your replies. I will probably also try to drop the trigger pull to about 3 lbs.

      @@butchflorentino814 no worries partner feel free to ask anything I’m happy to help and awesome about your purchase I’m glad you didn’t fall for all the negative hands-down The Prodigy is amazing and I couldn’t be happier about it I still want to buy the bul armory Tac 2 but you cannot get your hands on those guns so this really is a great find! If you have any issues let me know and we can get them sorted out!

    Great video! How much fitting you had to do? Did you change any of the firing mechanism? Thanks.

    • @americantrucker9813
      @americantrucker9813  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you ! And No Sir! No fitting or changing anything! It’s a drop in replacement the only adjustments made were to Pre-travel & over-travel and Shoe Length.

      So I did end up polishing the disconnector & Sear, and put in a 17 lbs mainspring and it brought the trigger pull down to 3 to 3.25 lbs. but I personally prefer A lighter trigger right around 3 to 3.5 lbs and I polished a little bit of material off the top of the trigger bow to reduce some friction.

    Kinda sad really. My bul armory tac 2 4.25 was 2.5lbs outta the box.

      I’ve been on a waiting list for the Bul Armory Tac 2 4.25 for a year !!!!!! That’s why I bought the prodigy ! And I’ll still buy the Bul if given the opportunity!!!

      @americantrucker9813  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      BTW the Prodigy has a Duty rated trigger out of the box. That’s why it’s so heavy just like the STI Staccato P
