Now I work 50% of the time and get paid like most people do working all the time. It worked out well for me.

And I went to cretecarrier we have a pension and great benefits and I can call my wife and my kids as many times I want and with new equipment so also work better for me.
@truckingwithcrete That's great! We don't have the cell phone policy anymore You can talk all you want as Long as you don't get in an accident. At that point Walmart's not what you worry about it would be the lawyers if anybody was killed or hurt badly. They will find out no matter what. Now we have nothing but mostly brand new trucks. Things have dramatically changed since they had that cell phone policy all around. Also they gave one hell of a raise here a couple of years ago. I knew they would change their mind on all that stuff at some point so I just waited it out. Didn't take long after some people quit or turned down the position like you did.
I'm not sure what you mean sir by tell the truth. The statement is you can make UP TO $110,000 your first year as a Walmart driver. I know it can be done on a 5-day on two-off schedule if you are willing to extend an extra day in the busy times and work as much as you can on your 5th day before you go home. Also if you don't crash the truck in that first year you will get 4 safety bonuses. The biggest thing about making maximum money at Walmart is that the little things add up. For example I make $100,000 a year working a schedule that is 5 days on 5 days off. Basically working 50% of the time. There's multiple things to add up that people just don't understand like if I work some of my days off in the busy time I don't just make extra money because I worked but it ups my ADP dramatically usually above $500 a day. Then you have to figure every time I want to take some time off I'm getting paid more than I usually would because my average day pay is actually lower than what my ADP is because they divide it by 7 days for me and my schedule. Also considering I've never had a ticket or accident in 22 years I always get my safety bonus. Another thing to consider is if I do have a day that is less than my ADP I simply just fill it out to be a maximum paid day which is again more than I generally would make in a day. I can do that because I already have tons of days off and I'm getting 40 paid days off a year so I have lots of them to spare for something like that. So with everything I just explained you can see that you can't just simply sit down with a calculator and figure how many days I work in a year and how much money I could get paid each day and think that I'm going to come up with a total of my entire year. It just doesn't work like that. It's way more complex and it takes paying attention to detailed to understand how this is even possible.
I started driving for Walmart at the beginning of January this year. My gross pay is over $67K right now 7/29/2024. I work a 5/2 5/3 schedule. That's 5 days in the truck 2 days off the first week.. The next week 5 days in the truck 3 days home. I don't know exactly what my pay will be at the end of the year, but I'm on track to make the $110K.. Maybe a little more.. Could be a little less. I make enough money with Walmart I don't worry about it..I can pay my bills
