    Always good to pop the vapor on first so you vent the tank to get proper stick reading.

    • @brandonjohnson3566
      @brandonjohnson3566 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Carded at the fuel racks. You get trained on how to use the racks computers and their safety procedures. You need a trainer to be present everytime your ready to be tested by the rack operators. They come out and ask you questions you should know from your trainer like if you are loading 4000 gallons of regular how much ethanol should be going in first? It's always 10%, so the answer is 400 gallons. They will watch you as you are loading your trailer. Always keep an eye on the computer screen and the trailer at the same time. If the ethanol goes over say the 400 gallons and gets to say 411. You need to be ready to hit the stop button on the computer and then hit the call button that gets the operator to come over. If you mess up at the rack you can get permanently banned from their and that's when your tanking career is over. If you do everything correct when the operator is present they issue you a card that you always use to log into the computer to fill your order.

      @hxhcgcbdjjdnxnx depends on the company and trainer. Usually 4 to 6 weeks training on the job, on the last week your trainer will talk to the operator at the fuel rack to test you so you can get carded.

    I’m trying to find a company that will train me with hazmat/tanker where I am in NJ but it’s hard to get my foot into this division w/o tanker exp. as U well know. Mega carrier Schneider would take me but that’s my last option bc I really don’t want to take my chances with them going regional from what I hear.

    • @SemiEverything
      @SemiEverything  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yeah the Northeast is a tough market in fuel. TBH I would say forget the pay for now and take what I can to get the experience. I would make the sacrifice for a bigger payday and more stable company later. I can do some research for you

    • @coreymiller7570
      @coreymiller7570 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Can U pls do some research for me about this? I’m most concerned about how Schneider would treat me if out there driving for them. All the videos I saw from non-local Schneider drivers were negative, aside from great training in the beginning and not pushing drivers if they feel unsafe about something. But the thing is all these videos seemed to be over a year or so old, have not seen any recent videos. Maybe it’s the company or just them. If I’m going to be at the mercy of dispatchers I would really like to get an idea if it would be tolerable. can’t seem to get into a local tanker job w/o any exp. Thanks! If you can connect with any Schneider tanker OTR or especially NE regional drivers which I’m on the fence about can you ask them what their pay i$ like? Thanks.

    Hey buddy i got a question since you do fuel.. how do gas station get the different types of fuel ?for example premium fuel and regular fuel because all i see when tankers delivered fuel is always one tanker ,is it all the same or does the tanker have different compartments or do they deliver in different days regular fuel and then premium? Just wondering because i also notice that the in ground tank of a gas station is just one big tank with no separation or just one big tank for desiel fuel so im just curious on how we are getting premium gas and regular gas.

    • @SemiEverything
      @SemiEverything  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Our tanks have different compartments… in my last drop on the video I had premium and unleaded. The premium was in compartment 3 out of 4. Also the gas station tanks are separated as well. They have different tanks to separate the fuel type. I think I explain it on the last stop of the video

      Most fuel tanks have 4 compartments. From front to back is labeled 1, 2, 3, 4. 1 can hold 4000 gallons, 2 can hold 2000, 3 can hold 1000 gallons, 4 can hold 2000. On average fully loaded trailer holds 8,800 gallons safely.
