    It is a shame you didn't explore more of the city.
    I have been to Batu Caves, been top of KL Tower and Petronas Towers, as well as going to Jalan Alor in Bukit Bitang. Bukit Bitang is very good at night.
    I will recommend some places to see and do that I actually did:
    KLCC Park (behind the Petronas Towers), see the fountain show at night in KLCC Park, Perdana Botanical Gardens, KL Bird Park, Merdeka Square, KLCC Gallery (in Merdeka Square), Jamek Masjid (close to Merdeka Square), National Monument, Istana Negara (King's Palace), KL National Masjid, Wilayat Masjid, Thien Hou Temple especially at sunset, Little India, Chinatown, Central Market, Eco Forest (next to KL Tower) and KLCC Aquaria.
    I would also add a half day trip to the city of Putrajaya which is located half way between KLCC and the airport. In Putrajaya, there are Putra Bridges, Putra Lake, Presidential House, Putra Pink Mosque and Steel Mosque, and open parks.
    So next time, check the places that I have listed above.

      What a star! Really appreciate the time you've taken to give us those tips. We wish we had that info before we went as it would have made things a lot easier! Sadly our budget for that month was pretty depleted as well which also hindered us so we couldn't enjoy it to the full extent. Definitely next time though!

    Taxis are extremely pricey. Grab is a better option for saving money and time, however if you want to save money, use the monorail, but you must know which station to take to get to your desired location.

    • @ParksTravelGuide
      @ParksTravelGuide  ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely Penakul. We intended to only use public transport but we were so short of time we had to go point to point, especially for the Batu caves. KL has an excellent transport system and one we will have time to fully appreciate on a future visit 🙂

    You can take a train(ktm komuter) to batu caves, it is cheap. From kl sentral Station. Unfortunately you did not ask locals. So your ride is 20 + 40 = 60. This will allow 2 banana leaf meals at a fancy Indian restaurant

    • @ParksTravelGuide

      Hey Keang. We only had a day to film this vlog so we had to go for the most convenient option to save us time. We had heard about the train but we needed to get from A to B as fast as we could. The banana leaf meals certainly sounds interesting!

    the best way to Batu Caves or travelling in KL is by train/LRT/MRT/Comuter. Fast and cheap. There are also free busses.

      Thanks Rain. We had heard about alternative options but as we were rushing round trying to get everything filmed as quick as we could that's why we opted for a taxi. Luckily traffic was in our favour both ways. We had a ride on the monorail and that's a really cool thing for the city! Thanks for watching 🙂

      Haha it is indeed, we live in Rawdon by the airport. South East Asia is a particular favourite of ours to spend time in. 5:07 It's KL Tower. You need to walk further until you see KL Tower signage. During working days, usually there's a shuttle white van (TM logo). Or you can continue to walk. Total distance ±1.5km from monorail station.
    You need to book days earlier for the twin towers tickets through their website or just visit their tickets counter.

    • @imjuzsayin..5017
      @imjuzsayin..5017 ปีที่แล้ว

      The gov took ministry of health advice not to recommend cigarettes and booze. So both are highly taxes. However visitors can enjoy cheaper beer at certain areas such as Langkawi duty free island.

      Same as pretty much anywhere Raymond. We don't mind paying a little bit more for that purpose and are pretty hardened to the fact that as long as they don't have our pants down and give a fair price then that's cool. We're currently in Sri Lanka where prices for a tourist are often quadruple the local price or more, especially for transport so we've been doing a lot of walking! 😆
