He had all his shit together, that attorney didn't flinch once. Knew what to say Everytime EXCEPT when she asked if he wanted to talk to the client privately after xD
That's pretty much exactly how I could tell, with my own case, whether the judge I had was going to be lenient or a stickler. The courtroom upon entering, had a relaxed type vibe and his tone was albeit a commanding type, presence wise, but still mild and at times a bit lightheaded/humorous. I got let off with simply an extended probation term for another two years to still work at the current railroad and position I have with them, while raising two, soon to be 3 young ones with my husband. I don't know all the details with this fella and his mental illness, but likely for me, as I informed them and my PD, it was still looked upon as absconding but my reason for leaving Maryland, at one point, was to flee from that of my abusive mother; years prior because of and up to now, I have been long struggling and hospitalized numerous times for PTSD. As long as he would've told his PO and his PD, along with the med records, they probably would've done him the same.
Good lord he even said “I’ll be 26 when I get out, it takes me 4 years to get a degree…by that time I’ll be old as fuck” if he thinks 30 is old then he’s in for rough ride
I went back to vocational school when I was 25 and graduated at 26 and then went back again for another vocational degree when I was 32 years old and graduating when I was 34. There were people older than me in the programs. If he think he will be the oldest in college he is definitely mistaken.
I’m not sure 1-100 I mean he was looking pretty emotional through the process. He looked like he was going to cry many times, and when he started talking over the judge at first that what is it sounded like, then it ramped up. It was quick, yes. He has major emotional control issues that I agree with and he needs some major work to help him be a productive person. I guess I’ve spent too much time watching people and can see the warning signs of an unstable emotional state. The dead stare, slight frown, wavy lower lip, puffy eyes, and maybe a few tears. These are good things to watch out for and things he showed.
Scary, except for the fact that he weighs approximately 98 pounds and has the stability of an infant. Nothing scary about that, unless you're a child... Not saying that you're a child. Just making a point.
I agree but if this was in Chicago they would not even be looking for him Chicago has the best catch and release system for the thugs that live in Chicago, the thugs have it really good in Chicago.

Did he really think that attaining his GED was going to somehow outweigh absconding from probation for 2 years??!! That's not a minor violation, and the fact that he has made strides in improving himself in the meantime just proves that he was totally capable of following this requirement, but instead chose not to. On a side note, his voice reminds me of the mother in Carrie, "They're all going to laugh at you!"
He dipped out on 2 years of probation with THESE charges?!?! Nah, zero sympathy. You're lucky you weren't already doing time as a human pin cushion in prison.
Love how this dude thought he was not going to be held accountable. When the Magistrate ( @10:00 ) told him he has to "...turn himself in by 7 p.m....." that was simply beautiful!!! Finally this dude stops getting away with stuff.

What made me laugh so hard is how his demeanor was in the beginning then he explodes and pulls his hair out of his ponytail. This goes down in the books for me, I am still laughing. lol
I think a lot of us can fully relate to the feeling of white-knuckling through each day. Most of us can sympathize with mental health issues... But who can sympathize with a child predator? Not me. It's also clear that he knows the buzz words to say to manipulate authority figures. The whole wanting to be like his dad? Please. This was definitely interesting, thank you OSG 💖🙏🕊
I didn't know that was what he was originally charged for. That changes my opinion a little. If he wasn't a predator, he honestly seems like a good man. Getting emotional isn't below men. But considering it could be a manipulation is really terrible.
This fellow, Bunt, isn't upset because he messed up, he's upset because he believes he fix it and being told he didn't have proof and thus violated his probation which lands him back in jail to answer for violating shows me that he still goes by his own rules and needs and so is still a threat to any underage boys/children and ultimately society; he needs to grow up and for most of his kind... that's the eternal struggle.
I felt bad for him ... kind of. Then I read some comments down below that said his crime was predatory actions against a thirteen year old boy. This made my stomach turn .... put him in jail and throw away that key. Let him get a taste of his own pervertedness.
This particular hearing/probation in the video has nothing to do with that case. He has a new case involving drug abuse. I read up records on the child solicitation case everyone is referring to. He was sentenced in 2018, did 10 months up front jail and 3 years probation. He violated that probation in 2020, jailed again , and just got time served by the time it was revoked, I think I saw 350+ days total he served
@johndougherty Looking at his face, he seems to be tasting something rancid already, and listening to him describe his dreams for the future is sickening. He sure didn't consider his victim's well-being and future wholeness.

The judge's cadence is driving me crazy. She can't get a sentence out. She seems to constantly be searching for the proper word or losing her train of thought. So many pauses and "uhmm's"

@green_cafe of course we are dear. Now, just hush up while you're ahead. I don't want to be dragging you into court. O.J. Simpsons' legal team didn't want to face me in the courtroom. Let me tell you, that glove would have fit.
I'm sure judges get tired of hearing about jobs a defendant is starting TOMORROW, college enrollment for NEXT semester, fines and fees going to be paid off NEXT month. Granted these don't necessarily apply to this specific defendant, but he was planning on turning himself in AFTER he gets his diploma. He had some control over when to surrender, and it would have gone a lot further if he'd already turned himself in so the judge could have truly addressed bond.
I can attest, when you are in probation things are made CRYSTAL CLEAR what your obligations are. And if any doubt call the office. I woukd never even think of trying to avoid PO. I knew what would happen. What amazes me watching a lot of these is how many violations happen and people don't get surrendered. Maybe Boston is different but that not happening here
My revocation hearing was simple. Never left jail, never tried probation, I asked the prosecutor to give me 3yrs in prison in exchange for 10yrs of probabtion. No regrets.
@Rayne That takes balls. It is better to do a short stretch than doing tge whole ten on the installment plan. Especially if you are know you cant put up with some punk PO. They are all mostly women here... And they hate you, lol.
I told them to give me prison and they said that it would be too expensive, and that I would pay for my probation, and it would save money for the Colorado state government
Wow. I can see why you did that. I had to do 3 years of probation. It was humiliating and shameful. It had me constantly looking over my shoulder to make sure I wasn't breaking any laws even though I knew I wasn't.
Good lord! What a tantrum! He went off so hard and fast that i don't think he even heard that the judge was saying to turn himself in until the next hearing (probably in like a week or so's time) and not for the full year. What an unstable man. He probably shouldn't be in society if he is that volatile. Also, did you notice that he was saying he didn't have a license (and therefore couldn't turn himself in by 7pm) whilst clearly sitting in a vehicle?
TRAVERSE CITY - A man faces up to 15 years in prison after he was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old boy. The boy told authorities he and Bunt began exchanging text and Facebook messages in the summer of 2017. Bunt later met the boy in Traverse City where the pair had sex, documents state. And he had more charges and criminal acts after. The court system in America is just disgusting. Wow probation for grooming and child rape. I hope the horror stories of men in prison are true for this predator.😢
I think he probably sees the probation dept as adversarial. With a good strong dallop of "I don't want to face what I've done". But the end reveals the real trouble: He has serious emotional/impulse issues, and they clearly haven't been addressed. He may be bettering himself, but he's doing it as a ticking time bomb that will probably go off when he blows a mid term.
He sent photos of his genitals to a 13 year old boy and them molested him, but sure, "it's a good thing he's impressed himself". Maybe you should be serving time with him.

My disagreement with Jamila is the fact that why would this man go and turn himself in hire an attorney go get his GED sign himself up for classes things of that sort he is taking accountability The courts are not taking accountability for mishandling the paperwork and not even giving this man a chance to defend himself- only thing she's doing is reading what's on the computer how do you know things were not redacted just as you know please turn off body cameras all the time That's why they always tell you to record on your own cell phone

@Pat Seagramson the most successful, brightest and greatest criminal defense attorneys started out being just regular court appointed or legal aid appointed attorneys
He was absolutely making chicken salad out of chicken shit in this video, can you imagine what a nice job he could do with a client that was actually reporting to probation and doing the right things?
He had all his shit together, that attorney didn't flinch once. Knew what to say Everytime EXCEPT when she asked if he wanted to talk to the client privately after xD
I love how the Judge, leading up to violating his probation, gives him no indication (via the tone of her voice) that she is going to do so.😂
That's pretty much exactly how I could tell, with my own case, whether the judge I had was going to be lenient or a stickler.
She could tell he was hanging on to saint by a string.
Any time a judge says “So, that being said”. You know something bad is coming.

We are not treating mental health (especially for men) properly in this country. It's no surprise, not the first time we see that.
