As an attorney myself I LOVE pro se opponents. I get lots of practice dealing with objections and distractions without any possibility of losing. Its like bumper bowling.

although she is really horrible, the judge - especially with these types - must always prevent to create the possibility of them suing the court for prejudice. I would explode within 5 minutes and have her thrown in jail for months. I guess that's why I am not a judge and this great guy is. You have to respect the way he handled her: with class!
Depends on the Judge. In my opinion it wastes courts time to entertain these idiots. Not sure if they just don't know how to deal with them. There are a number of judges that have zero toleration for it, usually just ignore any SovCit word salad and move on through the case following the law. SovCit is just a delaying tactic and they all follow the same script they get off the internet.

Problem is that he needs to appear entirely unbiased. The court systems aren't really prepared to have a defendant as pro se who will derail the whole thing.
The system was made in the assumption that pro se defendants would do whatever they can't to help their case in good faith.
@@williamanderson6006 the judge needs to walk a very fine line here. If he shows any kind of bias or violates any of her rights then that woman gets off scott free. When that woman inevitably makes an appeal the judges above him will look back at this moment. They will see how he offered her every chance to behave or defend herself, and it will not go well in her favor thanks to the judge being neutral like this.

The Judiciary also follows set rules to insure arrest, pretrial, trial, and sentencing are Constitutional. The Judiciary has local, State, and Federal Court's with The US Supreme Court as final arbiter. It's really an incredible system of Justice.

As a 38-year veteran teacher, it is frightening to think about how she misguided the youth who were exposed to her nonsense. 😱
Can you explain what jurisdiction the court was using? If not I think what is more frightening is that out of ignorance you may be teaching others to judge those who stand up for what's right.

OK - tired of responding to individual comments about how the judge couldn't control his court.
This was a classic implementation of Sun Tzu's advice in the Art of War: "Never interrupt your opponent while he is in the middle of making a mistake."
Not only did the prosecutor prove her case, but the defendant helped them enormously because she was allowed to rattle on. Her questioning of the witness basically admitted she gave him advice. Should the judge have interfered in that? is that the type of control people wanted to see?
He clearly had a plan in place before the session opened, and he followed it. He had the sentence and justification ready. He shut down virtually any hope of an appeal.
And she went to jail.
Seems like he had perfect control of his courtroom.

I have forced myself to view/listen to all her court videos expressing "unleanable" rights. Have decided she loves her own voice. Parts of this would make great Saturday Night Live courtroom sketches.

You are armed to the teeth. And beat down anyone that doesn’t comply with what you say or feel. That doesn’t make what she says not true. If you need guns and force to get people to do what you want. Then what you want is wrong.

@@timkelly6985sounds like you’re confused that people with an internet connection that’s watched thousands of videos over the last couple decades of police violating rights are somehow criminals? It’s made me think about my police contacts in life and how they’ve violated my right. How when I was like 10 walking to the store the officer that made me strip to my underwear wasn’t concerned about me being kidnapped and killed and not be identified. He said he wanted picture of birthmark so if something bad happened, I could be given back to my family. Turns out he was a pedophile and just wanted some Polaroids of boys in underwear. Or the half dozen times I was pulled over and they act like Neanderthals being all alpha testosterone bullies instead of just writing a ticket for going a little over the speed limit.
I've seen videos of how these people act when pulled over. I salute you for your service. Anyone who has to deal with this deserves a medal 🥇
