I love JMC. I was the guy he described what was deconstructing because of bad teaching. Thank God for JMC showing me that I don't need to compromise my morals to participate in Christianity and maintain orthoxody.
Would like to know as well… With statements John Mark makes it feels like late 2022-early 2024. Helpful and encouraging for sure, but would have love context of when this was and what it was, even just a title address, title slide, or lower third giving viewers context!🙂
Another example of someone sort of coming close, but actually completely missing the point and putting people off. Lots of people deconstruct, renegotiate, or whatever you want to call it, not because they want to attack faith but because the faith they’ve been given is so weak at the foundations they want to find a path to a stronger faith. People need support and love through their questions, but all these accusations and defensiveness towards anyone who has them just pushes people further away.
Agreed - the idea that deconstruction in general is some kind of superior sense of enlightenment is silly. I’m sure plenty of people take it that way, but plenty also don’t, and they (we) end up in more robust forms of orthodox biblical faith than where they started.
"If we do things right, probably neither (political) side will like us." That's a great line.

By definition if you are a Christian that means dropping your “morals” and taking on Christ’s Morals.
When was this filmed?
