And phantom blood was a prequel for backstory? Yeah, I can see that
I think Stardust Crusaders was the first one that Araki came up with, and he decided to write Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency to give backstory on Dio and the Joestar family. So Parts 1 and 2 are a prequel technically.

I have a pitch for a JoJo game, hear me out.
This may sound weird but stick with me, I want a JoJo game in the style of Pokémon. Let’s use part 3 as an example, so you’d play as one of the crusaders ( you could switch at any time) and you’d journey across the world to Egypt and your main goal is to fight DIO. Along the way, instead of encountering wild pokemon, you’d encounter stand users sent by DIO. The combat system would be like Pokemon as well, turn based but instead of swapping Pokemon, you swap characters.
