Why is this game so good? They knew that we all were about to become crazy JoJofans? I mean... Smooth animations, deep references to the manga with a curious voice acting. Just look at this parts: 1:48, 2:36, 4:05, 4:21, 5:04, 5:11, 5:45 (what's that book Dio's holding?), 6:37, 8:20, 9:04. And let's not forget about Kakyoin falling at 120 frames at 6:28.
This game is a complete classic, it had details and elements taken straight from the manga, that feature was great back then. Now, with better technology at hand, All-Star Battle obviously has even more details and can be shown with more ease. Too bad the same can't be said about the voices, though.
I played this in the 90s. Funny that it became popular again since the Anime ended in 2015. I read the Manga which (for Stardust Crusader Saga) ran between 89 and 93. Back then popular Japanese manga titles were very creative - much more creative than American heroes comics - and became cultural references throughout Asia. Best Mangas used to stand on their own without the need to be adapted into Anime. (The early anime titles that invaded the west did not do justice to the creative genius of Japanese Mangas). Alas, those golden age was gone. Now it's all about anime-adaptability that judge the quality of the work.

How did it get translated back then. I didn't know about it until it appeared in Shonen Jump in like 2005. Played the game in around 2008 and that was my introduction to the series.

Actually he was supposed to have a Raging Demon refrence but instead it was a Japanese Symbol for Dog similar to Akumas japanese symbol after he defeats his enemies with Raging Demon because its make sense cause Capcom developed this game. But I guess the developers prefer the defeated character image so they scrapped the raging demon reference

This is the PSone version of Jojo, I remember enjoying it a lot when I got it, it has very grainy sprites for the stands, owing to the 2 MB RAM of the PS1, but makes up for it by having the Super Story Mode and more selectable characters than any other version. I think together with Guilty Gear, it is one of the best 2D fighters on the system.

Actually he was supposed to have a Raging Demon refrence but instead it was a Japanese Symbol for Dog similar to Akumas japanese symbol after he defeats his enemies with Raging Demon because its make sense cause Capcom developed this game. But I guess the developers prefer the defeated character image so they scrapped the raging demon reference

this was my favorite game to play on the ps1. i remember my brother bought it for my birthday when i was like 7 or 8 and i got everything unlocked and kept beating the story over and over. i loved this game. best memorys on a console where to this game

This is the PSone version of Jojo, I remember enjoying it a lot when I got it, it has very grainy sprites for the stands, owing to the 2 MB RAM of the PS1, but makes up for it by having the Super Story Mode and more selectable characters than any other version. I think together with Guilty Gear, it is one of the best 2D fighters on the system.
