    Hey Kyle,
    I’m a huge fan of your channel. When I first got into technology and computers specifically, you and Linus were my go to channels. I’ve always wanted to get into PC building and the like. I’m currently a senior in high school (I plan to go to college to become a special needs teacher). I do a tad bit of photo editing and am a console gamer atm.
    I currently only have my high school loner computer, which is a 2013 MacBook air. As you can imagine, running photoshop is an absolute struggle on there, and you can just throw any pc gaming on there out the window. I’ve been saving money for a while now (I’m a busboy at a restaurant).
    I want to build my own system, but my parents won’t allow me to. They’re quite old fashioned and for some reason think pc building is only possible for people who work at tech companies and the like.
    I was wondering if I could give you my money to have you part out and build a computer for me and my family? We actually have a desktop, but you’d most likely laugh at the specs (bought in 2001 and can’t even open internet explorer). I want to get a desktop that my parents can use for their day to day work and that I can use for homework, light photo editing, and gaming. I have a budget of $650. Please reach out to me if you’re interested.
    Thank you,
    Aaron

    I mean, it doesn't matter now since GPU prices are f'ed, but don't go with a Ryzen 3 2200G. It's still a decent CPU, but it has integrated graphics which you don't need and it's on a almost 4 year old platform. Go with a Ryzen 5 1600AF when it comes back down to its $80 MSRP. It has the newer Zen+ platform, it has 6 cores, no integrated graphics, and it doesn't bottleneck the 1660 super nearly as much as the 2200G does. It also has better gaming performance. It's basically a 2600 in disguise.

      His build kinda sucks tbh. A 2200g bottlenecks a Rx 570(proof on Joey Delgado's 400 dollar build) so of course it's going to hold the 1660 super back at like 50% usage. What's the point of getting a good gPU if it can't even run at full power, when you could get a much more balanced build, with better components, and a worse graphics card that actually runs at 100%, which is still better than a hard bottlenecked 1660 super.

    • @aero8893

    • @miniweeddeerz1820
      @miniweeddeerz1820 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      @@aero8893 well that's also stupid. If you feel like you need to upgrade it's because the pc is bad. Which it is. And then you are just spending more money than you want to because the original build sucks. That GPU will last 3 years with a good cpu. if you need to upgrade sooner it just shows how trash the build has been. A 1660 super should not show its face till 650 dollars around. If lets say you do hold out the three years on a trash CPU at low usage, by the time you get a better CPU the GPU will get outdated anyway. So you'll have three years of trash performance then need to buy a new CPU and GPU that actually fit together.
