Also, guaranteed that the "King Dian" no-name cheap Chinese SSD is cacheless, so it performs like ass, and has bottom-of-the-barrel chips that are going to die on you in a matter of months.
Completely wrong choice. Never cheap out in the SSD with a disreputable brand, because shitty drive performance is the surest way to reduce the quality of your PC experience and having to buy another SSD in a short time is ultimately the much more expensive option.

    • @control_the_pet_population

@@samueljordan5601 I'm glad you haven't had any issues... but from reviews I've read and internal pictures I've seen, the Thermaltake Smart line uses crap capacitors and it's an ancient group-regulated design. I just couldn't buy or recommend anything from the Thermaltake Smart line. If you are dropping $700 on your CPU+GPU combo, pony up an extra $25 and give them clean power with something decent... Even relatively entry-level stuff like the Corsair CXM or EVGA GD lines are miles ahead of this PSU.

      What was the CAS value?
I seem to remember those being 3600MHz at CL19 which is a high CAS which takes away the high frequency advantage. As a very quick rule-of-thumb take Frequency/CAS ratio and compare kits and take whatever is highest (and also check the motherboard QVL list and possibly investigate recommendations for what works well for overclock/tweaking).

    • @TheNinjabunnyfufu
      @TheNinjabunnyfufu 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@photonboy999 if it was the 3200 (I think it was since it was the tuf variant) then it was 16, but the 3400 to 3600 are like 18 and 19 CL. Though you could always use that ryzen calculator to tighten up timings with most semi decent boards
I don't think I've seen anyone have problems with the sniper series for ryzen even when it's not on the QVL though there is first time for everything. Seems like G. Skill ram and Corsair LPX was everyone's go to for first gen ryzen cause 99% of the time it worked no problem and ram comparability has only gotten better with each ryzen gen

Jack Bocock I have a large one, and it’s white, so pretty hard to keep clean, I do occasionally eat at my desk but always keep a small table next to my desk usually never on the actual desk. And yeah it will get dirty lol. Most annoying though is that the part where your wrist wrests will get the dirtiest, of course even if you’re clean you’ll have some marginal dirt on your wrist and over time it does rub off on to the mousepad. It’s really easy to clean though, I just throw it in the washer with other whites when I feel it’s an eye sore, then I let it air dry. And it’s pretty much good as new. The glorious pc race logo will also eventually run off, and in the time between it rubbing off and you washing it the glue holding it on will also pick up dirt. Overall it’s still a very good and very comfortable mouse pad with great dimensions, I’ve had it about 3 years and every time I wash it it’s pretty much brand new, in the future I will only buy their mousepads.

Strohhut TV the KO is actually pretty bad (unless you plan to use it for productivity) thanks to the existence to the RX 5600XT. The cooler on the KO is REALLY cutting it close to the bare minimum required to cool a 2060, so it’s pretty loud and has relatively high temps.

@@ElZamo92 Well everyone has a different opinion in my opinion the RX 5600XT is the worst GPU in history of GPU's. Just the move AMD did with the gpu bios killed the gpu in my opinion and just showed how AMD wanted made the RX 5600XT slower then it should be. Nvidia was the good guy by putting the RTX 2060 for 299$ or 319$ and forcing AMD react. In my opinion AMD should have just lowered the price of the RX 5600XT and not change the bios with higher clock speeds and screw up the 3rd party gpu manufacturers and the customer consumers by having some gpu's have the new bios and hit the frequencies and some other gpu's can't hit the frequency or was shipped with old bios. Just a messy situation right now. Also I know EVGA coolers and I know is not the BEST cooler for a 2060 but is not that terrible how u explained it is 20 milion times better then any stock blower style AMD RX 5700 or 5700XT cooler.

They are trying and they found a way to increase the performance by releasing a new bios which everyone should appreciate. The pricing and the card IMO is amazing. I definitely get/see your point but come on man haha. There needs to be competition or NVIDIA could have just priced it at $400 and we couldn't have said anything. Also just curious, did you watch Bitwits 5600XT video? I don't understand how the 5600XT sucks lol.

It was a PLAN B if Nvidia react we will just put a new bios and say ohhh look we are better then Nvidia. They could make that GPU with that bios at day 0 but they didn't they just waited on Nvidia response. Nvidia is also bad don't get me wrong the whole gpu market sucks in my opinion AMD isn't better then Nvidia or Intel and I'm a guy who use Nvidia and Intel and AMD I use a Ryzen 7 3700X because is a GREAT cpu I don't want say anything bad about this CPU because I can't. My complains about AMD are only in the GPU market fix your bad awful drivers, don't look what other companies like Nvidia will do just make gpu's for us the consumers money will come make your consumers happy not your share holders, give us competition in high high end segment and plz don't beat a 2080ti because Nvidia will release then the 3080TI and crush u on the ground, stop make bad marketing decisions like that bios thing or call your cpu cache "gaming cache" and plz don't be late like always the RTX 2000 is a 2 or 3 years old gpu and now u try be a competitor really? Same with Intel gaming performance now u catch up with Intel and beat it u couldn't make it happen 10 years ago we waited you 10 years AMD to bring competition WHY YOU ARE TO LATE? Thats all I think AMD has now great cpu's but bad gpu's and plz don't be late go now to 7nm+ and 5nm and show Intel what u can do.

Kyle: I personally find PC Part Picker a lot more useful when I'm looking to price out a system over Newegg due to the sliding options and the ability to see specs in the list. For example, when you were looking for an SSD, you selected a bunch of checkboxes to get one in the 500GB range; with PCPP I found a 512GB option from Team (their GX2 model) for less than a dollar more than the KingDian. That being said, the KingDian didn't even come up in searching PCPP, so YMMV. But having a range to find rather than selecting a bunch of checkboxes does let you find items you'd miss otherwise, so there is that.

I recently purchased a Raidmax 350W power supply for a low power server and it's working very well. I was really skeptical about buying a Raidmax power supply because I didn't trust the brand and read a bunch of 1-3 star reviews. But I took the risk and purchased it since I needed a low wattage supply with few SATA cables and no PCIE cables and it's $40. The only issue is that the cables are ketchup and mustard which is fine for me since it's not used for my PC. Bottom line, Raidmax is a good brand for low wattage supplies, but I'd avoid their high wattage supplies

Just keeping looking for more and more info on components. Doesn't take long, and it doesn't take much hands-on experience to be able to successfully pick parts for simple, high-performance builds. Check out pcpartpicker.com. I completed my first build (mATX, i5-8400, 16GB RAM, MSI GTX 1660 ti, SSD) just this last year. Only hiccup was my CPU fan was DOA.

@@murtxx5976 Should be a decent build, I'm not a huge AMD fan, but to each their own.
Did you see the warning? You may need a currently functioning PC to download a BIOS update for the board to be compatible with the 3600, just depends on when the board was actually manufactured.
Are you buying CPU with or without cooler? If not with the CPU, Arctic Freezer makes good budget CPU coolers, or go Thermaltake if you just want something that is super cheap and gets the job done ok. Also, make sure you're mounting the fan with a backplate, not those stupid, plastic, spring-loaded CPU fan clips.
A used graphics card is definitely the best way to cut some cost. I got my CPU and GPU second hand, and my mobo open-box. pcpartpicker puts my build at $840, built it for $457.
Your PSU is plenty powerful, I would say bump down to 500W and go for 80+ gold rather than bronze.
One area I somewhat skipped in my research was the case (other than making sure my graphics card fit). This will be the next upgrade to my PC when I get some money and/or find a case I actually want. I would recommend looking at some case reviews, especially if you're going to try and get an mATX tower. When searching for cases you're likely to find larger towers that also support mATX, so just be aware of that if you're trying to do a smaller case build. I really overlooked the airflow aspect of the case. I think there's one case fan in the front and one in the back right now, and my GPUs fans may have a bit of restricted flow due to how close the intake fans are to the bottom of the case. It gets warm, but does not overheat or throttle down. I would definitely recommend a PCIe riser or 90 adapter for your card, especially if you go with a smaller case. The power plug for my GPU is pushed down a little bit by the side panel of my case. But, if you're just trying to get the thing running any $20 budget case will do, so long as your components fit. $20 is not a huge loss if you decide to change the case later.

This video is awesome! I've been looking around and watching tons and tons of videos trying to scout out parts for a gaming and streaming pc. I've been wanting one for a hot minute now to upgrade away from this laptop so I love these bang for the buck builds cause let's be honest, I don't have a whole lot of money. I love the rest of your videos too, I've been back watching the last 2 months and the ones I haven't seen yet are at least a year old now.

ASRock450m pro4, AMD RYZEN 5 2600, G.Skill 2x8gb ,Master cooler 300 case, 480gb SSD I have also a 1tb Samsung drive laying around for extra storage. EVGA 500w power supply, GeForce 1060 FTW+ 6gb GPU got it from a buddy for a steal of a deal paid around 500 but I really took time and bought stuff when The sales came.

I love these types of videos, but I also wish they would factor in people who are building from literally nothing. You also need a mouse, keyboard, monitor, perhaps a desk to place everything, a chair, speakers (if monitor doesn't have them built in) etc. Pretty soon this $800 price point balloons to well over $1000.

Seagate HAS the best drives period. I have a 2.5 inch 80GB HDD from 2009, I retired it recently and SMART shows that it has written over 150PB (yes Peta) and it has a bit over 30 bad sectors after 10 years of intensive use.

Doing my first PC build, saw the Cooler Master NR 400 get passed by for case choice. I choose it as the airflow seemed excellent with mesh front, came with two fans (purchased two more) and case has large top vent (later found out nice rather heavy mesh for filter). So far, case has been relatively good to work in (considering i have one functional hand) crazy amount of SSD space(4) and HHD (3). Picked up the case for $65 and while not the cheapest micro ATX case, good materials and tempered glass side panel.
