ikr. me and my friend had one that tortured us and killed all of ours dinos. then we tamed it and after 40 mins of taming 3 more spawned and we tamed one of them but it costed the death of one of our raptors. We tamed the first one with a trap and if u want i can say how to make the trap. and the second we tamed because it was stuck in between two trees.

i had an ichythyornis grab my perfect gun (700% damage, max dura) once and i thought "oh it's just gonna drop it"... Then i heard the crunch.

honestly if you wanna ensure anti death against a theri make a taming pen because therizinosaurus ignore all armor values but still do damage to its durability (though if you wanna tame a few theyre good against the dragon since it takes reduced damage from fire and its ability to eat veggie cake which heals more than force feeding something)

It's called being lazy when trying to make a game harder. But due to laziness it's not increased difficulty, it's just adding randomized setbacks that don't make sense. What would make sense is to have animals steal meat from campfires that have gone out. Or rummaging through your storage chest and leaving half the items on the ground after taking things that make sense like meat or berries. But animals don't just pickpocket people.
Bear Artorius not lazy, its called nature. The animals do what they have to, to survive. Ya its annoying but rats and seagulls are their real life counterparts and they do the same. They are added in to keep you aware and ready for anything. Life is hard and these show how it can be.
Double ZeroNineFour That doesn't mean that they can add creatures that make the game too hard and make people hate it. What if somebody lost a max level wyvern egg or something else like an insane weapon and got so mad they didn't play again and told friends not to play it either

It was late at night, it was very foggy, I was taming a trike on a cliff in the redwoods... and then I heard the booming of the footsteps, I thought nothing of it and continued my journey of taming the trike... then it happened, I was knocked of the cliff into an eternal drop, I turned around as I was sprawling through the air, that’s when I saw it... it’s large body, it’s tiny head, and it’s long neck... What I saw staring back at me... smiling... laughing... was a diplodocus... it’s eyes were as evil as a demon that has just escaped from the underworld, it’s neck long and crooked, it’s body big and thicc, I was thinking ‘why’ ‘why me’ ‘what did I do to deserve this’, then I remembered... I walked next to it... I am still falling as I am writing this, it has been 6 days since it knocked me off the edge. And this is why the diplo is my least favorite Dino to ever *Splat*

Rafts : Handy way of getting around the island to tame and bring dinos anywhere, including herbivore island (least stressful way to get an anky early-game), allows you to have a houseboat on PvE where the entire shoreline is littered with advanced players in other servers' dino garages.

I haven't had much trouble with Theris, I second the ants that were mentioned below. Bully Bird (ichtyornis) and pego are absolutely my 1 and 2
the use of bully bird is that it allows you early and easy access to prime meat and prime fish. The prime meat... eh, if only stegos and diplos were harder to kill it would be useful. It's harder to get prime fish, since most aquatic creatures don't harvest it. Until you tame a spino, prime fish is a bit iffy to get hold of quick and guess what's best to tame a spino: Prime fish

reminds me of the time my sister and I didn't know it was aggressive and walked towards it thinking it was a herbivore. We got wrecked. Returned with bolas to try trap and tame it but I didn't work and we died several more times.

Any time I try to tame a freaking parasaur(witch shouldn't be hard at all) it will almost be tamed and then three freaking raptors will kill every parasaur in the area including the one I'm taming and me

Quick story which incorporates some of these creatures: so I was trying to get a teranadon, I was a low level maybe 35 but the terandadon was level 75! Which was amazing because the one that I had was a level 42. So I knocked it out, put some meat and narcotics in, and it started to tame. I was super happy about the luck that I had for finding this on an EAZY zone. Then a pego comes up and steals my crossbow, and ANOTHER comes and steals my arrows. So I have to get my pike and kill them like that. I killed them, and then 3 dilos come out of the trees and started to blind me. Long story short, I died lost my tranq arrows and meat as the pegos stole those too and the taming level 75 teranadon was killed by the dilos…… I love Ark.
this game wants to kill you chill, just before you get a flying mount get a low level or high dilo to protect you they are pretty good for a person who is low level in ark as the dinos level up as you do aswell
I definitely agree about the dilophosaurs but their great to have around for meat and hide early game. My fav tactic is to circle to the left cause they seem to spit more towards the right.

Pro tip for Ichthyornis: they tend to prioritize food items over other gear and items. After testing, if you encounter them, split your food stacks into single items and they will only take 1 piece at a time. And a side note, they also target your main inventory over hotbar items, so keep some spoiled or raw meat in your invent and divide it up so they cant rob you of all your food. This helps when taming them
My very first day I decided to go and check out my surroundings, started to get dark so started to swim back to the beach where I had spawned in but I encountered a pack of piranhas, I managed to find a rock and spent the whole night freezing to death. My real hate is the jelly fish, I found a nice place to move to so I packed all up on the back of my Paracer and ran in to jelly fish, killed us both, tried to recover all my stuff but there was too many of them and lost everything

More accurately, they knock u out, circle u and wait until you get back up again, and the cycle repeats

I remember the first unicorn we ever saw (and so far the only Unicorn). We were sailing around Drayo's Cove when there it was, it came prancing over the hill. It was a beautiful sight. I was all geared up ready to go over there and tame it. That was until a piss ant little micro raptor came up and killed it right in front of us. I was so pissed off
with the theri, i remember first seeing it and thinking it was passive, as it went near any dino and was fine. i approach it, and little did i know

Once, I saw something in the distance, and I told my brother (I was playing with him) I was going to go get it (Because i'm obsessed with taming animals, and I didn't know what it was). I swam across the river, and saw a frickin baryonyx in the water. I ignored it (We eventually tamed it) and ran to the mysterious little creature. I got close, and all I saw was a little pokey raptor jumping at me. I was very confused, because when it jumped at me, I expected it to start fighting me, but it all it said was, "Name Your New Pegomastax!". Turned out it stole some berries from my inventory and I had accidentally tamed it. But now he lives in me and my brothers house with our dodo (We have many more bigger dinos outside, we just keep the little ones inside), and I love him! But now I have a Therizinosaurus and an Alpha Carnotaurus who moved in that we have to tame. -_-

Also for those who have wish to tame a pteranodon make sure you hit with whatever your using to knock it out, when it’s on the ground because they can sometimes take fall damage when they fall, and to make sure you don’t lose it or so u don’t miss ur shots
I was playing Ark with my brother once... first thing that happened few seconds in was death by dilo. When we did finally settle down at a base there was one ichthyornis that just kept taking everything... until I made a lucky shot

When I first started out in Ark, the Dilo’s were like my only damn friends. They were like the easiest predators to tame and they were low key cute and just great company. I love them a lot. Even at level 50 I keep a pack with me.

Once upon a time, I was playing solo on my own server. I had just made some tranq arrows and a megaladon saddle and was hunting down a megaladon, I had a longeneck rifle along with me in case things went sour, and there it was, an Ichthyornis diving into me, *it ate my longeneck rifle*

I can agree with the Itchthy. They're especially annoying if you're taming on the beach and they steal your narcotics. The worst thing? They don't even get affected by what they eat either. They can eat 2000 narcotics in a row from your inventory and they won't fall asleep.
As for the Pego, while it is rather annoying (especially since they steal from anything that's player-owned, dino-wise), at least they have one redeeming quality; They have the cutest pose next to the otter when they're sitting on your shoulder. Wrapping their tail around your torso just looks so cute.

Once while taming a baryonix I got jumped on by a pack of troodons. I already conceded my whole existence when I, passed out, realised that my dimorphodon I had on my shoulder was killing every single one of them. At that moment, he became my personal hero.

Me! Like, even on creative! I was testing how to hatch wyvern eggs on the island map, so i can try and hatch one on ragnarok when i get high lvl, and like, i was on creative mode, with my lvl 4 wyvern, i landed on a little rock, and attacked a stego with the fire to see how strong it was, then, all of a sudden, tons of titanomyrma appear and murder my just fully raised wyvern that i was testing on, bc it didn't have much stamina :/

I had just bought a managarmr on a multiplayer server and I jumped and landed in the water thought it'd be fine a load of jellyfish and megladons etc. etc. and I just watched my managarmr which I'd had for 5 mins just be mauled by everything in the ocean

Quick story about theri: I was playing ark for the first time, and tamed a carbonemys named Terry and a dilo named Cheese curls. Worked my ass off to get Terry a saddle, and when I came back from exploring I saw: Your Terry (carbonemys) level 12 has been killed by a therizinosaur (level 72)!
Me: Sticks toe in water
Piranha: And I took that personally
I have terrible experiences with icthyornis. But the most rememberable one of them all is when I tamed my first Dino a lystro. Being a new person to the game I loved that thing to death I would bring him everywhere with me. One day I was strolling down the beach with my lystro and all of sudden the music is playing and I look behind me and I see my lystro just get carried off and killed to this day I still hate them.

I once found a 208 compy on the metal mountain of south zone 2 and it tanked all my arrows and all my spears
The one time I've played ark ( we lived on a beach )I've had a few compies follow me, my friend lose their stuff to piranhas, but thankfully not been robbed by a ichthy
couldnt agree more m8 but my #1 most hated creature are large packs of aggressive players who annoy me just a whole ton

My only hated creatures are the jellyfish (almost lost a perfect tame mosa to them), pegos and the sea gulls. The others on the list I can understand why others find them to be annoying but I personally love dilos and especially the compy. Compy are an iconic creature in the Jurassic park movies as well, especially lost world. Great video Axeman. Can't wait for the next one.
In the wild tho, I also love the compy, but what are your opinions on those creatures in the wild?

I used to love dilos then a pack of them started killing me so I ran and then my lvl 35 parasaur died from the dilos ;-; went and followed those dilos and killed them all

I once was on my favroute raptor and had my best items on me ran into a river saw 2 phi rand and my iPad died I charge it straight away go back on and I got the death message and died
I remember flying low against the water, then coincidentally a bunch of eels started shocking me
I love dilos. I always tame like 4 in the early game to help me hunt turtles.
The only thing is you need a lot of them cuz they’re so weak- it’s best better if you tame a turtle or two, but I’m not you and you do you.
Oh my god the Piranhas. I’ll be crossing a river after hunting some Coelacanths and suddenly they just show up like SKSKSKSKSM WHERE DID YOU COME FROM

I mean, they're kinda slow but I agree they can be annoying if they happen to be close to where you grab water
Was bringing a tame down the beach to my home, so I could go build a saddle for it there. It almost died to 3 because it wandered into the water.
@@indivivdualism Turn off wandering, since Cnidarias can be incredibly dangerous. I almost lost my rex to a group of them. It’s level 50ish.
@@anthrax2 I didn’t have on wandering. It was a diplo, and I was riding a deinonychus. Must’ve got pushed by a turtle or something because one second it was on the beach the next it was halfway in the water, jellyfish creeping up.
Also I like to keep my smaller dinos inside my house, and I keep my bigger dinos in a line just so they can at-least try to defend eachother incase anyone comes to attack or any Dino.
i would add the tyranomyna soldiers also to the list, same with terror birds on scorched earth
compies usually show up when my inventory is full and i cant run, and if i have one spear it usually breaks
