I agree. Maybe they could reduce the engram points available to a person as their tribe grows, that would be okay with me. But to make all solo players crippled by giving them limited points is really dumb.

4:01 so, I just started playing on Scorched Earth. I tamed a bunch of Jerboas and they are now telling me that a heatwave is coming. I´m lvl 7 and I don´t even have enough points to unlock the tent, especially not enough ressouces to build it. The only reason I started playing this map was because of the Phoenix... so that´s pretty fun

There was plans to make concussion rockets but that idea got scraped they where meant to explode and emit a high frequency blast wich did extra torpor and could only be fired from rocket launchers
Actually recently,While I exploring the nearby coasts with my icthysaurus(the dolphin that just runs all over the place when you try to tame it).I found a Titan on an archipaligo doing nothing,there were some trikes and parasaurs that i could have just used my trusty slingshot to tame them and make an army of trikes.INSTEAD my sister(who was watching me play) encouraged me to...KNOCK OUT THE TITAN WITH MY GODDAMN SLINGSHOT,this was when i have no clue how to tame specific dinosaurs so i actually did this crap.I was lv 22 trying to tame a Titan,I shot the titan with my slingshot and on the 4th shot it broke,i also took alot of damage since i never used any skill points on stamina or mobility so i went back to my icthysaurus and ran into a jellyfish.
When u used a flame thrower on the bees. Remind me capturing bugs and throwing them into a lit candle

I've read that in an early version of ark, alpha dinos could be tamed.
Now they can not be tamed, however, they can be tranqued. It just takes a disgusting amount of resources to do that with.

Troodons aren’t even good how the hell they so hard to tame
A big pack with heath pumped on it would be great for pvp. Knocking out the player or its dino then finishing it off

I actually used them on pvp official and would place them in the air locks of my base. Was an awesome form of defense, but the taming was a nightmare and not really worth it

Manta is tricky as well because you need a sea creature to get down to the anglers, get their gel and then catch the mantas in a trap, all while trying to stop them beaching themselves, and then feeding them, which is a “passive aggressive” tame because it is a passive tame but they are aggressive

8:15 it took us 6 hours to tame one only to find out we can't upload it xD we wanted to raid with it on a Ragnarok server and tamed it on Center map. If it touches anything when you shoot it (even a single tree with his leg), your shot might not register...

For those looking to tame a gf
The taming process is endgame stuff but it consists of
Tracking a low to mid lvl female , once you have located one you’re going to need to passively tame her with chicken nuggets, now this could take hours maybe even days depending on her level but luckily the female gf has a food drain rate of 120% which will help with the taming process. Remember not to approach her from the front whilst taming or else she might go aggro. Also remember never to attempt to club or tranq as she will then flee. Once you’ve got her tamed you will then need to ensure she is adequately fed as well as keeping an eye on her thirst levels. It may be a good idea to keep 1 or 2 water canteens in her inventory to encourage her to stay hydrated. Another thing to note is that the gf is more susceptible to cold than other tames and will require you to keep a fire burning next to her at all hours of the night, although in some situations she will require extra warmth so then you’ll need to allow her to ride of your back to sap the warmth from your own body. You may notice occasionally that her torpor lvl is high and she might be moving sort of slow, it is likely she is iron deficient so just pop a few metal in her inventory and she’ll be good to go!
I tried many attempts at queen bee -- mostly building enclosure around hive before breaking hive. Drones kept agro-ing. Then I tried with bug repellant, the drones died instantly when near me. Just walked up and fed queen bee, super easy. -- Still making attempts at troodons.

Using a good argy to attack the nest, in conjunction with gillie and bug repellent seems the easier way, not easy though, still a lot of work, but worth it to avoid the redwoods as much as possible.

A well Statted Direbear can destroy a hive fairly easy, granted you can get your bear to match it's elevation. As for the bee itself, wear a ghillie suit and/or use bug repellent. This makes for a simpler bee tame and less hair lost from stress.

You could just place them in a pen and use tranq darts in a longneck rifle. If that doesn't work. There is a electric prod that does a good amount of torpor and little damage. People tend to forget about that thing cause you have to get really close to use that and have to repair it every single use. But it's pretty handy for the first torpor hit on something like a galliminus or dimetrodon.

Wouldn't it be easier to tame a phoenix but getting multiple fire wyverns and enabing breath ai? afaik the ai is a lot more accurate than players can be.

That's why you whistle passive when they get close ;)

No lol...when they get close, whistle passive, then when far away, whistle to attack target. They should then use their breath again. One or 2 bites is ok because fire heals the phoenix. Might need further testing tho.

You could use a quetzal build a cube and when you find a Phoenix trap it in there then place walls so it can’t escape and just use your method of burning it 😀
In the early game, Moshcops are a DEMON to tame. They always want something you don't have or want a tinto or mejo berry then something you din't have afterwards as a high level, but then some level like 8s want mejo and tintoberries.

dododex has a pretty solid (and free) calculator for the values given by various creatures for troodon taming purposes

Try taming the titan on prim plus thats really hard me and 2 other tribe mates tamed it it was a lvl 6 it to close to 200 cannon balls we missed the head alot however we eventually tamed it this was a slightly boosted server but it lasted an hour till someone kited it off when i was afk and drowned it i got the saddle back though :)

Tip on taming the Titan!
To make things easier make at least 7 behemoth gateway then when it’s trapped it can’t escape i recommend doing it while the titan ain’t mad and just do what ever you do to tame the titan and stay away from it’s back leg and front if it’s at least in 80,000 to 100,000 health the titan would run away and won’t attack so it would be 10x easier without losing your quetzal!
Me and a friend unknowingly tamed a titan just using tranq arrows and we kept it out for like 2 days

The first time I met a troodon was in the night and a dilophasaur spat its acid stuff on me and something else knocked me out and that’s when several troodons finished me off

I still find taming giant bees easier then trying to drag a massive fish to a tiny otter that never sits still and press a button while being able to keep track keep up and aim or trying to outrace and feed dolphins before they eventually beach themselves in order to not be tamed.
