Even if the railways has to replace 3AC Economy, it should be deployed on Garib Rath due to following reasons:
• It will help them run @160kmph
• it is much better than GR side middle berth
• Garib rath coaches are on the verge of completing their life.
• Garib Rath passenger are more likely to pay for 3AC economy than passenger from Sleeper class.

Seat length and breadth is narrower than that of sleeper and 3AC.that' s why railways are doing this spam to sell the tickets of 3E by renaming them as 3AC.

Same case happened with my father's ticket also. I booked his ticket in Kamayani Exp on 29th April and without any prior notice railway shifted ticket from 3ac to economy class. My father is 60years old and he do not use smartphone, he struggled lot to find his seat and coach because on departure time TC came and announced that some people has to shift in economy class but dad called me and luckily my phone wasn't on silent mode. Then after logging on IRCTC app I gave him the updated seat and coach number. That time my dad was about to enter in angry mode but luckily he didn't.
I booked in 3AC in tamilnadu exp but got in 3 ac economy after chart preparation then I filed tdr. Still not received money back... Cheating. And initally ticket was given as B7 but only B6 is there and rest are M1 and M2 and got in M2. And 3 AC economy was not shown in irctc only shown as 3AC

In my opinion, in India no one gonna bother about the difference between 3A or 3A E , as still people are ready to travel in even RAC during hurry , but i think 3A E is good replacement for garib rath coaches , if fair remains the same .

Recently my ticket was also downgraded from 3AC to 3AC Economy and was assured that difference will be refunded back.
These coaches are really not comfortable at all but have some good features like Personal AC Vent, Charging Socket on every seat.
This has happened with me last month. Also, they issue a very nominal refund for converting from 3AC to 3AC Economy.
3AC Economy coaches are not that much specious. One may find them uncomfortable.
There should be a facility that they should take approval from passengers first for conversion.
It happened in Kochuveli korba exp also. After getting lhb rakes all 3ac coaches are replaced by 3ac economy coaches. There is no 3ac coaches right now in this train.
You did not explain in the video why railway has stopped showing 3E as an option during ticket booking.

AC3E fare should be same as Garib Rath fares which are 25% cheaper than other AC3 trains.
I think that this consent of downgrading the class won't be considered as a free consent because there is no option to not opt for that like when we book there is a check box for consider for auto upgradation.
But in this case the consumer don't have the option for opting out of downgrading and have to compulsorily agree (give consent) to this condition and this should not be considered as a free consent so yeah legal action can be taken on this matter.

The Consumer Protection Forums will have to rule in favour of the aggrieved traveller (in such circumstances). We love our Railways. But that doesn’t mean that they can take us for a ride 😆

3AC should be eifher converted to 3E or just be used for the local trains or upcoming trains or extra coach for demand of AC on certain trains.
Personally, I don't mind 3AC economy. I will prefer the look and feel and asthetics of 3AC economy any day over the old and broken and mental asylum color themed 3AC coaches. And yes, it does feel a bit congested, but as someone who have experience in traveling in jam packed general class, it feels like nothing.

And the vlogger here pointed on different aspect. 3ACE fare is lower than that of 3AC.but railways has renamed the 3ace to 3ac.but in ground reality the coaches remain same of 3E.

I just booked ticket from jasidih to goa in 2nd ac, but while book ticket i found that there is no option of 3rd ac economy but there are coaches in train..
So it's kind of scam for people who will get economy after buying 3rd ac ticket.. there should be atleast 400-500 difference then it will make sense

This is happening to me also. I am traveling to Bhubaneswar in 12837 - HWH PURI SUP EXPRESS with a 3A Tatkal confirmed ticket. when the chart is prepared my ticket converts to 3E class and only Rs.57/= was returned to my ticket. It's very sad. Rail is nowadays very business minded.

3E is better in almost all ways compared to 3AC expect Berth size and some more things.
3e tickets shd b kept 50% more than sleeper and sleep people shd b allowed to upgrade that's all and run 4 days a week w 3e nd 2 days with sleeper ie 24 coaches that's takes care of the rush........ Ie 24c 8 coaches -3ac 1500 10-3e, w max 1200rs tickets ie double of sleeper max rest w 2ac 4 nos 2500 1ac 3500 tickets
Only thing I like about 3rd AC Economy is its interior asthetics and it's interior colour it looks better than our current AC coaches but comfort is bad!!

I traveled in 3 ac economy from lko to del the size of seat may be little bit smaller but these couches r new neat and have many extra features like reading lights and usb port for every individual seat. Night light and it ambiance is so good which gives it a unique and premium feel than 3 ac

Last week mein ne tatkal ticket book kiya tha Manmad Junction se Lucknow Junction tak, 12534(Puspak express ) mein, iss train mein 3A hota hi nhi hai aur booking ke waqt 3A ka option aata hai, ticket book kiya aur coach mila B3 aur final chart jab prepared hogaya toh seat reallote hoke M3 coach mein chala gaya aur paise bhi refund nhi aaye
Ticket booked at GNWL-18 and at the last time I saw the status was GNWL-12 Now after chart preparation it is showing GNWL-17
मेरी टिकट 3AC B4/44 सीमांचल एक्सप्रेस में दिनांक 25/5/2023़ की थी। ट्रेन छुटने के 4 घंटे पहले रेलवे से संदेश आया कि मेरी सीट M2/4 में बदल दिया गया है। मुझे आश्चर्य हुआ कि ऐसे कैसे किया जा सकता है। यह इस तरह से यात्रियों के साथ धोका है। रेलवे को यात्रियों के साथ ऐसा नहीं करना चाहिए।

I want to know from you, if I book my tickets on ac2 tier and the compartment on that day not attached with the train, and railways called me to avail ac3 tier or ac3tier economy, will I get refund of the difference between ac2tier to ac3 tier or ac3tier economy class fare? Please comment.

Seat no 3 मिला था,एक तरफ से blower का हवा और पाइपलाइन भी सीट के ऊपर से जाने के कारण roof 6 से 7 इंच और नीचे था, 6 फीट height है मेरी, आप समझ सकते हैं कि एक laptop bag के साथ भी इतना congested था कि बता नहीं सकता।

Railways management is now in corporate marketing vala hands and they are selling railways only for profits by robbing low middle class passengers to subsidise ticketless travellers and permant ticketless traveller politicians. Even Sr citizen concessions and other concessions have been totally withdrawn from majority of SF and premium trains. The attempt to replace ordinary express mini long distance trains like Delhi Rewari passenger into vande bharat mini long distance trains will affect railways in the long run because express like Ernakulam Tatanagar SF is earning more cash revenue in terms of fare than TVM Rajdhani or ERS Mumbai Durranto. Fast and quality railway service make sense but it is not sensible always and to all rail users.
Experienced this scam in Navjeevan Exp, vadodara to chennai booked confirmed ticket in 3rd ac but after chart preparation down graded to 3rd ac economy.
If u know the 3ac coach nos of that particular train do put that no while booking.. Otherwise if are new to that route.. U have to face this issue. I used to do this.

3E coaches are ok if they introduce these coaches at Garib Rath fare... a mere 5-8% differential is not going to shift people to 3E for the kind of inconvenience they offer.. A forced downgrade from 3A to 3E cannot be justified in any manner. Now a days Railways is completely replacing 3AC with 3E on may premium routes - for instance Pushpak express doesnt have 3AC. They have replaced all coaches of 3A with 3E. Personally, I would prefer SL over 3E, if 3A tickets are not available.... A collective PIL must be filed against railways to protest against this practice.

This is wrong. IR should not downgrade travellers because 3E is terrible as there is serious lack of space for luggage.
Today 22648 kochuveli korba express got lhb rake with 10AC economy without any 3ac coaches...and only 5sleeper coaches are avalaible....
