Govt actually fooled people by introducing AC3E. Same new features (mobile holder, modern bottle holder) could've been added in the existing AC3. Govt said AC3E will replace sleeper class and its rate would be little higher than sleeper but in reality, they charge close to AC3 which is very costlier than sleeper. How can a passenger who pay 400/- for sleeper able to pay 850-900/- for AC3E? Govt should add these new features in the existing AC3 coaches. AC3E isn't comfortable and much costlier than sleeper.
I have also travelled by 3ACe. The coaches are good but lack of bedsheet and pillows is a big minus. After all you cannot expect passengers to pack bedsheets, when you are trying to travel light. Unlike in other AC coaches, those travelling by AC 3-tier economy class will not get bedrolls and blankets. This is because the AC 3-tier economy class coaches have no space for keeping bed linen. It is a design flaw. Also the logic is that , 3E Coaches have SMART HVAC system and controlled temperature , hence linen and blanket may not be provided. As per The Tribune's report

I have traveled in this train in the economy coach from puri to howrah. Whatever u have highlighted is true. I also approached the coach attendant from 3AC for bed rolls. He straight away asked me for 100 rs rent and 600rs as security which will be refunded if i will return the bed roll.
Previously after COVID period when bedrolls started. They giving bedrolls in 3E coach. After 10-15 days Indian Railways given new sericulture to not provide any bedrolls in 3E coach.

Everything does not work in this way, dear. The railway is a part of the Feudal structure. Hence , railways can only give special perks to its workers only in case of travelling and not accommodation. It is a rule.In 3E no one can use (actually not given) linens and blankets.

To all those people saying that preferential treatment given to certain high ranking officers is right, then you cannot be more wrong it is just like saying that police officers can be excused for certain crimes as they are in that profession.
Don't make false equivalence, Preferential treatment to the employees of the railway is not illegal or wrong, every work environment be it public sector or private sector, has preferential treatment for its employees. That officer will aslo get reimbursement for his train rides, will get picked up from station by a railway car, all this are perks of the jobs he has. You cannot make a case that , if that employee gets a reimbursement then you should also get a reimbursement, if the employee gets a free pickup and drop off at station then you should also get it. If you are jealous of that person, than clear railways exam, grind in the railway departments and get to these positions then you will also enjoy those privileges. And if it is already made clear by the railways that 3E class, will not get bedding, then you will not get bedding, it's nonsensical to create ruckus.

For whatever the reason, if the person was accommodated I'm 3E. The person might avail the normal perks. Plus it is not illegal, as the passengers are bound by the terms and conditions of the ticket, whereas a high ranking offical , if he , A - buying the ticket and traveling , should be subjected to the same terms and conditions. B- the travel is arranged by the railways for official purpose, then he has all the rights to avail those perks, regardless what the conditions is for the normal passenger. In case of conditions A, he should abide by the terms and conditions of the ticket. In case of conditions B, he is entitled to those perks, and the crowd is just making an unnecessary ruckus. (Typical indian crowd)

Everything does not work in this way, dear. The railway is a part of the Feudal structure. Hence , railways can only give special perks to its workers only in case of travelling and not accommodation. It is a rule.In 3E no one can use (actually not given) linens and blankets.

To all those people saying that preferential treatment given to certain high ranking officers is right, then you cannot be more wrong it is just like saying that police officers can be excused for certain crimes as they are in that profession.
Don't make false equivalence, Preferential treatment to the employees of the railway is not illegal or wrong, every work environment be it public sector or private sector, has preferential treatment for its employees.
That officer will aslo get reimbursement for his train rides, will get picked up from station by a railway car, all this are perks of the jobs he has. You cannot make a case that , if that employee gets a reimbursement then you should also get a reimbursement, if the employee gets a free pickup and drop off at station then you should also get it.
If you are jealous of that person, than clear railways exam, grind in the railway departments and get to these positions then you will also enjoy those privileges.
And if it is already made clear by the railways that 3E class, will not get bedding, then you will not get bedding, it's nonsensical to create ruckus.

@@tanmaysinha9632 the person availing it was not just anybody, but as per video the agm of railways. And most of the time the personal in such position are given either 1st Or 2nd ac seats. For whatever the reason, if the person was accommodated I'm 3E. The person might avail the normal perks.
Plus it is not illegal, as the passengers are bound by the terms and conditions of the ticket, whereas a high ranking offical , if he ,
A - buying the ticket and traveling , should be subjected to the same terms and conditions.
B- the travel is arranged by the railways for official purpose, then he has all the rights to avail those perks, regardless what the conditions is for the normal passenger.
In case of conditions A, he should abide by the terms and conditions of the ticket.
In case of conditions B, he is entitled to those perks, and the crowd is just making an unnecessary ruckus. (Typical indian crowd)

Normally it takes minimum of 25-30 years of experience at various executive posts / levels coupled with systematic approach, hard work, dedication, thorough understanding about everything in Railways, Administrative Acumen and consistent outstanding performance as an Officer in Indian Railways.
That is how tough it is to get that post.
