It was all recorded on his body cam, the footage was available on youtube, might still be.

No the cop is literally speaking law. As long as the guy is a legal tenant in which he’s been there for over 30 days, and his mail is received at that address, he has every right to enter even if he’s locked out any way he wishes. The cop is speaking factual law now just biased opinion like the rest of what I see around here these days.
@@kiroshki the video specifically addressed the fact that a co owner may not willfully destroy property belonging to both parties, so no, a husband cannot kick down a door belonging to both himself and his wife. What he can do is call the cops because she is refusing him access to his property.

No she's not. I talk to them thru the locked door until I choos not to anymore. They be like "ma'am can you open the door please?" I be like "I could, but I'm not going to. Then if you try to close the door by force they snatch you up and arrest you for assault on a Police Officer or some other bullshit that it will take your time and money to fight conviction of bogus charges. I don't have time for that. I don't roll down windows or open doors. That way I don't have to worry about being so easily violated by a thug with a gun, a badge and the law on their side!
I give her an A+. She bent over backwards to clarify and explain. The final shove was instinctive yet still reasonable. He was not invited in. The cop was a pi bull, fixated on blind delusional enforcement.
What's hilarious is if she complied and let her son into her house, and became subsequently charged with harboring a fugitive, the cop would've likely turned it around and blamed her for following his orders
@@arturopuebla4924 Probably not quite as annoying as having a cop kick your door open after trying to tell you your fugitive son is legally allowed to kick your door in if he wants to and then arresting you for standing up for yourself, I bet.

Imagine if there was NO body cam footage. He would've lied and said this happened without entering her home. What cop tells a citizen that someone can kick down their door?
I was a live in baby sitter where I witnessed the mom abuse the kids. I called cps often but no one ever did anything . One time a lady sat on her son( she was 300lbs he was a 98lb 13 year old) he tried to push her off. She called the cops and claimed he hit her. The officer said she had the right to fight back if he puts his hands on her. She started beating him after that.
You’d be surprised. In MD, it’s legal to get into a home you “live” in, by any means necessary unless it’s court ordered that you cannot return or you were legally evicted. Of course, you would have to prove you live there by mail or police questioning neighbors/others who live in the household.

"Qualified Immunity" should NOT be a thing. If a police officer blatantly breaks the law, they should be charged to the fullest extend of the law. Our police are meant to be held to a HIGHER standard. Not a lower one.
You do realise that qualified immunity only counts when the officers actions are lawful? Since his actions were deemed unlawful is why his name was specifically mentioned in the suit. He personally is being held liable.
@@calypso9288 In the United States, qualified immunity is a legal principle that grants government officials performing discretionary functions immunity from civil suits unless the plaintiff shows that the official violated "clearly established statutory or constitutional rights of which a reasonable person would have known".

a mother trying to hold her son accountable needs to be given credit.
as a mother this had to be extremely hard for her. on top of that she is being treated like a criminal for being lawful and the son didn't respect the law and not being held accountable. Of course we need to protect our children but when they do something unlawful and put other peoples life at risk, she is a mother who had to
make an extremely hard choice. The officer should have called a supervisor, and the court should be the one to work this out . CPS at best would have been a protocol for the officer to report. all the best to the mother.
Don't worry, I'm sure her son has been to at the very least jail since this video aired, beginning the revolving door young. He's in for a lifetime of 'being held accountable' and will probably die from something related to complications associated with that lifestyle. Lol, seriously, couldn't care less about a 16 y/o.

Once again, the only thing a cop knows is that his ego is the most important thing in the conversation
Its because the department of homeland security has set the psychological standards for police applicants requiring that they possess qualities/traits of antisocial personality disorder. The minimum requirements do not satisfy enough criteria for diagnosis while sufficient criteria to warrant diagnosis does not disqualify applicants. Basically, of youre not a sociopath or damn close to it you're not qualified to become a cop under DHS standards.
This is why their egos take precedence in virtually every interaction they have with the public. It is also why they can murder innocent, unarmed civilians and then lie through their teeth to cover their asses and of course it is why they have no remorse to change careers when their "mistakes" result in the unnecessary loss of life or liberty for others.
They are literally the trash of civilized society.

Why is it, when a government official violates a constitutional amendment, that person isn't criminally prosecuted? All we do is say "no you can't do that" and nothing happens, except the victim has the right to sue in CIVIL court. This is a criminal matter, and until all government officials, who are sworn to uphold the constitution, are held criminally liable and are criminally prosecuted, then the law has no real power.
And then it comes out of the publics taxes and not the offending departments funding
Agree with that. People in a position of trust like police, teachers, church clergy, medical professionals, etc should be held to a higher standard when that trust is broken, especially if they have taken an oath.
