Dude, I'm only 4:40s into and in your comment you go through the whole legality of the officer telling the sister to leave, but never mention that the officer hasn't yet told the actual person he wants to leave to do so. He has told the person he pulled over, and insisted that her sister must leave, but he hasn't actually informed that person of his wishes. Then, I go scan the cases you reference and find that they aren't exactly applicable to this case. From what I can tell they seem to involve a person actually being in or in very close proximity to the scene or stop. You also conveniently redacted whole paragraphs that specifically exclude an officer moving a person along just because they are filming. It is like you are almost trying to only tell the facts that support a narrative.
I'm curious about the initial contact, the deputy ran her license plate and pulled her over for expired insurance in which she actually had paid although it was a clerical error on the behalf of the county. Anyways is this an infringement on the 4th? I mean randomly running people's information and all. It seems to me like an easy way for a predator police officer to obtain someone's address where they could possibly do various acts on someone at a later date and or time, for example a pretty girl could be prayed upon
@@N0HANDLE101 Oh, they already get a free pass for stalking. And thanks to the Supreme corrupt court, they can strip search anyone with only flimsy reasoning. Can't remember the case name, but the facts around it was when a man with a warrent was picked up at a routine traffic stop. The guy had a bunch of coke on him that they failed to find at his arrest or at booking. He made it into jail with it So thesupreme corrupt justice used that as am excuse to allow police to violat our rights and subject the entire population to strip searches by any pervert cop. He felt sacrificing our rights was worth it if it might cut down on some prisoners having a good time. The judge should have been removed of his robe, gavel, and from position.. If this was the UK then I'd say the woman was in the wrong, because the police here are very reasonable, they make American police look like criminals by comparison. In the USA I think the woman had a right to fear for everyone's lives and not want to leave.
I hate it when cops say "I'm not playing this game" it's not a game when you are threatening to rip people out of cars and throw them in a cage for nothing. She didn't pose a threat and wasn't doing anything wrong.
@Sunny664 You are a part of a serious problem. COP Worship. You grant them this mystical right to more value than other humans. No. They chose a job and are paid to do it right. Doing it right means with lawfulness and virtue at all times. This is the exception in 2022 and why more people daily are learning our cops are broken...we need new ones= clean slate
@Sunny664 Officers are not there to protect you. The Supreme Court has ruled that officers do not have a constitutional duty to protect a person from harm. Officers are there to protect other officers.
My sister would make sure I'm safe and I'd do the same for her. We have a family member that was sexually assaulted by a police officer. We don't feel safe alone with them at all. 😕
That's exactly why Audit the Audit blew this one. How is it people can stand nearby and video cops but she can't park up the road to wait for her sister? I have done it and no cop ever got upset.....just told them "That's my cousin, we're traveling together." Okay.....no problem.
@@msdarby515 The thing is, everyone can tell that story and they got no immediate way of checking, if that story adds up. The sister could've also been some crazed lunatic pulling a gun and shooting the cop. So in principle I can understand the whole "I want her gone for my safety"-argument, the cop doesn't know the sister. And if the stopped sister replies "I want her to stay for my safety", imho the only logical way out is that a 2nd cop comes and at the very least supervises the sister and in friendly terms explains the situation. That's why imho Officer Crawford, the 2nd cop in the vid, was acting unprofessional, he didn't explain it cordially. And yeah, he was in his right to detain the sister, but imho he wouldn't have needed to do it, a "Ok, then I'll stay here and supervise you while my fellow Officer does his job" would've been enough to make sure, that his fellow officer is safe.
Every cop needs to learn that "because I said so" is not a law. How do they expect us to follow the law when they either don't know it themselves, or won't explain it to us when they do?
Every cop thinks they can come up and make dumb laws these cops don’t even know the law I cannot stand corrupt cops. I can see why no body has any respect for law enforcement.
Exactly! Just like if you call a cop a “piece of shit,” he can arrest you for “fighting words.” If a cop calls you the same insult, he is totally protected and will get promoted.
A cop once asked my wife to take off her shoes during a traffic stop because he "thought" she was hiding something in them. It wasn't until he asked her how often she got pedicures and remarked how pretty her feet were did she realize he was being a cheap b*stard. Now she sells him feet pics regularly and he doesn't get a single toe for free.
@@TheOneR- calling a cop a piece of shit are not fighting words. You’re allowed to say that to a cop. Fighting words are direct threats of violence or provoking words that insinuate violence. Piece of shit is not violent.
The fact that he got angry so fast and physical with the door is proving the exact reason why she stayed. They should look into if HIS family are safe.
Florida laws let’s cops do what they want. In the academy they tell you there are “pop” charges. Pissing off the police just for when you want to arrest people who piss you off but you can’t hold them on anything else
That’s what I was thinking. She said she would leave and he said okay then still demanded her ID. She was giving it to him and he slammed the door in her face.
Probably the worst part was the choice of the narrator's words to make it seem like less of a deal. He SLAMMED that door and he says closed the door. He didn't even throw a "forcefully" in there. It's very telling that he isn't being honest with bias. He provided possible excuses rather than plausible explanations for their actions and I honestly lost some respect for this channel with how dishonest this review was.
Exactly. He was trying to cut her off mid sentence. Her foot was rested on the ledge of her car. If he would have slammed the door he would have slammed it on her foot.
The second cop lost his cool almost immediately, he starts stuttering and is struggling to keep it together. Within less than a minute he is already spiraling out of control, full-on mental meltdown. He should NOT be in the business of law enforcement. He might be better suited to trash pickup, where interaction with other people is minimal. That man should never be in contact with other humans. We are giving police FAR too much latitude.
I had to agree with this. You can see his hands shaking and everything. A TRUE "Police Officer" should be the walking, confrontational version of the Constitution, towards those who would attempt and sully it, and NOTHING MORE.
He revealed exactly what cops are... cowards. Big man with a gun and a belt full of tools to hurt and restrain people and hes still a scared little man.

You have to look at it from both sides, sure we know after the fact she had no negative intentions but the officer did not & is right in the fact there are well known instances of officers being ran over or otherwise attacked when a second vehicle is involved in a traffic stop. That being said the officers should have just had one officer stay with the second car just to monitor her actions while the first officer conducted his stop.
@Gaming In Progress as soon as a second offciee arrived that excuse goes out the window, and the first person didn't have any disagreement with waiting on a second officer.....sooooo
One minute he was going to pull her out of the car into the traffic, for her safety ten five minutes later he was trying to slam the door on her also for her safety?
The cop is nearly having a mental breakdown just being asked these standard questions in a standard traffic stop, not cop material at all. Getting so easily agitated. It said a lot about him that he started cussing right away when she said she was military, he nearly shit his pants out of fear. He should look for different occupation.
I was pulled over by an officer in my town. He said I was speeding and I questioned that given that I was the car at the back of a pack of cars. He shouted “I don’t have to explain why I pulled you over!” I was stunned and said “If you can’t handle questions about traffic violations you shouldn’t be a cop.” He stormed off to write the ticket. I wish I knew what I know how I would have stood up for myself more than that.
Yak Motley The absolute lack of curtesy and consideration for the ladies was sickening. He had been told the lady was following her sister and any person with an IQ above that of a Chimp would have realised they were afraid of getting separated and the following car driver getting lost. Even an instruction to drive to the brow of the hill but to remain within sight would have been a more reasonable suggestion and one which wouldn't have lead a more sceptical person wondering why he wanted them not to be within the sight of the traffic stop, because let's be honest, who trusts a cop in this day and age.
It was clearly a battle to win driven by ego only. Obviously the whole "our safety concern" is alleviated by the 2nd officer simply being with the sister, but the whole "leave because I told you to leave. Now give me your ID" was pure ego only.
@chuck 8094 I also note that the baby (armed midget?) in the back seat of the rear car looked like he was packing a gun, or might have had a gun, or, had he been above 2 feet in height and capable of sitting up on his own, might have made a move for the officer’s gun, or could have done so in 10 or 15 years, should the stop have gone on that long. Cops unfortunately can act very unprofessionally but still be well within the legal parameters of what the law says. Unfortunately cops have too much leeway thanks to the courts.
She clearly asked what am I being detained for, and the law I am breaking, and he did not articulate anything other than I told you to leave. That is not answering her question. I'm so tired of these police officer being jerks to people who want to know why they are being ordered around.
Yes, the officer's claim was that she didn't comply with what the officer asked. Officers can ask you anything, you aren't legally required to comply with any ask.
I was once in a similar situation. I was helping a friend move so I was following him when he got pulled over (something about his plate or something). I passed them and pulled over 50 feet away and waited for them to be done. The difference in my case was the officer never came up to me. He accepted my friend's story, saw I wasn't doing anything or interfering and as a result everything was over in less than 10 minutes. No need for filing a complaint or anything. Amazing what a calm approach can do
By that you mean calm approach by the cop who pulled your friend. Cuz the dipshit in this video was angry as soon as he stepped out of his car so he was gonna be a jerk to the lady with the kid anyways even if her sister drove away. The problem was his ego got hurt cuz people didnt want to follow a stupid order from a person they have no respect and are visibly afraid of. I dont owe them respect cuz of some uniform. They are strangers with guns and prone to violence. Fact is if you pull out a stats graph there are almost more people being killed or harmed by cops than by gangsters or other criminals for the past 2 decades.
If that pig is so concerned for his own safety, he should understand the woman's concern for her sister's safety. There's several pigs on scene. They're plenty safe. I don't blame her for wanting to keep an eye on her sister. SHE is the one in danger.
These videos of cops disrespecting veterans like this really touch a nerve with me and are extremely disgusting. There's also a video of another combat veteran being arrested after successfully disarming a drunk person who was threatening their friends.
Idk, it may depend on the area. I'm sure it gets annoying in a town near post having a bunch of drunk idiots flying down residential roads in their challengers and Camaros and then trying to slide their CACs to get out of trouble, or NCOs and Officers thinking their rank has any sway over the police. Or you might have a cop that wishes they had the balls to enlist but didn't and they're taking out their jealousy during the encounter. Vets also tend to be considered "far right extremists" in more liberal areas. I've found that cops are more and more respectful of vets the further you get from cities and military posts.
It’s strange that officers have a problem with civilians watching them do their job at a reasonable safe distance. Weird that they wouldn’t want anyone witnessing them doing their job correctly.
It doesn't surprise me. Many police like being police because of unnecessary and foolishly perceived superiority and alpha-ness they believe being a Police Officer, with their uniform, badge and enforcement tools, gives them. It's a reason why many Police Officers are unfortunately absolute jerks with superiority complexes. When they meet a veteran, someone who also had a uniform and badge from a job with greater perceived alpha-ness and well known to hold much more value and respect in the eyes of the public than police officers do. The police officer's fragile perception of their believed superiority and alpha-ness suddenly feels challenged. It triggers insecurity, jealousy and resentment. That fully brings out the jerk in them, leading them to act disrespectful.
Honest question: I see auditors walk up on the shoulders of roads to record traffic stops all the time. How is it that they can do this but this lady legally would have had to leave???

Cops have no idea what the law *actually* says, most of them can barely read, so they just go with what they *think* the law is, or what they think it *should* be, and why not? It's not like anyone's telling them "No, you can't just make up the law as you go along." Instead, they are given wide leniency with "misunderstanding" the law, and usually let off without so much as a slap on the wrist. They have *killed* people for less than what this video shows and walk away free men. I have known several law enforcement officers, and they have all told me that one of the most important parts of being a good officer is never taking someones actions personally, even if that person is doing something illegal. Taking peoples actions personally and getting angry, narrows a LEO's ability to think clearly and rationally, maintain overall situational awareness, deescalate the situation, or notice important details that can be real threats. Leaving your ego behind, and maintaining a professional demeanor, listening, and then taking the time to articulate the reasons to the driver, and all of the consequences, would have gone a long way towards saving a lot of time and police presence. The second officer could, after taking the time to explain, simply offered to stand by the driver and had a nice chat with her while his fellow officer took care of the other vehicle. Instead, he let his frustrations of her not following his orders immediately to unnecessarily escalate the situation. He could have provided both himself and the lady in the car a reasonably nice experience, and left them both feeling good about the interaction, if he had exercised professionalism, tact, and discretion.

I got a ticket for going 26 in a 25 when a cop pulled me over to fish. He started asking hella questions, where I was going, doing, If I was drinking, wouldn’t tell me why I got pulled over, asked if I had weapons or drugs, saying I looked like someone who recently broke into a store nearby, etc. I kept telling him I plead the 5th and when he got mad I told him I put on a “real” uniform so he wrote the ticket, and when I signed he threw my license and registration into the car and left. After this encounter I no longer respect or cooperate with law enforcement to the best of my ability.
Did you not watch the video? He explained that the court would most likely agree that the officers had a right to ask her to disperse from the area while they were conducting a traffic stop for reasons of officer safety. He then explains that they would then have the right to detain, and identify her. He even explains that they had the possibility to arrest her, but did not. They were unprofessional, not illegal.
@@treycotter but that's not the reasoning he gave. He was implying that a person had to legally comply to ANYTHING a cop says. That's why it was bogus. He was right in result but he had no ID why...which is actually worse. Tells you buddy just makes stuff up. Not to mention, the biggest problem in these situations is the officers get their egos involved and it no longer becomes about officer/public safety and becomes an exercise in the officer showing the citizen who is boss...The kind of people that should not be police officers.
@@RogerThat902 I get that, and I agree. However, in a court case this still would not amount to much. They would look over this pretty quickly; as his stop and demands were still technically within his rights as an officer, even if the reasons he have were not accurate. Instead, this would probably violate some sort of department policy, but that would not be decided in court.
I just don't understand why the other cop was not able to explain it. "Why do I have to go?" "For tactical reasons. My colleague over there needs to be able to focus on that one car and the investigation. If another car stops in front of his traffic stop for no apparent reason, he has every right to feel concerned. Down the road, there's parking lot. Please, drive there so I could resume my patrol and my partner can finish the traffic stop."
A few years ago, my wife and I were driving home in separate cars at night, I was about a quarter mile behind her on a no-passing/double yellow line stretch of road that went for several miles. A car that had been tail-gating me passed me on the double-yellow and started tailgating my wife. About a mile later, it turned out that car was an unmarked LEO, they turned on their lights and pulled my wife over. I went past and pulled over a few hundred feet beyond the traffic stop. I saw the officer briefly question my wife, then went back to his car; my wife left and I followed her home. I asked her what happened, the officer asked her who I was, she said “my husband” and the officer said “you’re free to go”. Never asked her for ID, never stated what she was pulled over for. I wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t been there. DO NOT let them make you leave the scene!

@@fastinradfordable that would be great if they could come up with a distance and give some clarity. As far as it being a threat, I think it comes down to what is expected vs unexpected. If cars are driving down the highway, that’s to be expected. If a car stops, unexpected, and now you can’t fault someone for HONESTLY trying to figure out why. Key word though, honestly. If the cop comes over to ask why she stopped, that’s totally reasonable. And if he asks if she has any weapons in the vehicle, I’m good. Even the fact that one patrol car is there to monitor, no problem. BUT she tries to explain that it’s her sister that’s stopped and she tries to explain that she doesn’t know something about an address and the cop totally cuts her off and doesn’t listen. The vet is just trying to provide information that she finds relevant and the cop completely ignores her. These cops are not honest about why they don’t want her there. There are true concerns about interference at a traffic stop and officer safety is a genuine concern. Cops acting like this though is unacceptable and if they cry wolf, claiming that they’re concerned for their safety when that’s not their primary concern, then it just messes with everything.
@@derekfcc imbecile. the driver never knows what a cop is going to do. the citizen is the one at risk, not the officer -- armed to the teeth -- who makes the stop. the sister stopped to 1) ensure that the small convoy could proceed easily and 2) to guarantee her sister's safety. so the unprofessionalism is neither the only nor the main issue. the distance between cars was reasonable but, if the officer was so cowardly that he was actually concerned for his safety, then a back up car could have been requested so that a second officer could monitor the lead vehicle. and "they want to identify her just in case things change" is the kind of rationalization one finds in a police state. in a free country the police don't get to ask you for your papers just because there is a metaphysical possibility that someone might commit a crime. because a cop wants something doesn't mean that he has an entitlement under the law; and even if he has such legal entitlement, doesn't mean that his insistence is in any way reasonable nor rational. people like you are part of the problem: supporting the police when their actions are inconsistent with their legitimate needs to enforce the law and protect both the citizenry and themselves.
I was stopped for speeding (I was following my dad, trying to catch up) a couple of years ago. Units came and my dad parked to the side. After my dad identified that I was his son, the police was like "oh ok, just stay in your car sir". Best response ever I seen from my police department. Santa Rosa Sheriff's office just all had a cactus up their asses.
That should have been the response here. Again this traffic stop allegedly was initiated as the cops knew she had an expired license. It should have been seen as a logistical godsend knowing there was a child with the mother and that the car would need to be towed and the driver not allowed to further operate. I've even heard of the driver being issued a citation and then allowed to leave with the vehicle as long as everything else checks out.

The simple fact that the woman in the second car was compelled to sit there for her sister's safety, tells you exactly how low the trust in police officers has fallen among the public. This is not without good reason. One cop too many has been caught on camera turning what should be routine traffic stops into assaults or even murder. The videos of auditors is fine and educational. But the videos of random non-auditors reacting with fear over police interactions is rather compelling and disturbing. Not long ago I saw a video of an alleged domestic violence victim whose neighbors called the cops, and seconds into the video she mentions she did not call the cops due to their bad reputation. She would rather take her chances with an abusive boyfriend than call the police. Anyway, another cop shows up, chokes the alleged victim and slams her to the ground because she refused to allow him to enter her apartment to search for the boyfriend, within minutes, proving her fears of the local police were legitimate. Then, said cop began gaslighting her by blaming her for being choked and slammed to the ground. The cop was promoted in months and was later arrested when another sheriff took over and reviewed the body cam footage.

@@AcmeRacing that’s why you shouldn’t believe any cops who say “we won’t take your guns”. As the video quite literally explains, if only we could listen, the car ahead is still easily within walking distance and who or how many people are in the vehicle are unknown. If somebody is being pulled over with something they would rather not get caught with, and a gunman in a car ahead pulls over in front to fire at the officers, not only is it a threat to officer safety but public safety with traffic right next. Obviously, once they saw that it was only her and she was quiet and patient, she was probably not a threat. However, it is just generally stupid to then leave her unaccounted for when conducting a traffic stop. Thus, officers would have to position themselves so that they could account for both, or get more manpower, on the side of a busy freeway, to account. I wonder if these laws made more sense back when being a cop actually ranked as one of the most dangerous jobs. Nowadays it's not even in the top 20 per capita, so I'm not sure if all this preferential treatment is necessary anymore.
I worked in security for years and with several police and sheriff during my time and every officer told me the exact same thing, "when it comes to your safety, do whatever is necessary to protect yourself, because any police response or sheriff response is at minimum 35 minutes away and on weekends expect a minimum of 2 hours response time." My recommendation is that you be ready to protect/defend yourself for at least 35 minutes while you wait for police or sheriff to arrive and hope they make it in time. The sad truth is law enforcement happens after the crime is committed 100% of the time and is only present when a crime is happening 4% of the time.

They are jealous Vets get so much praise love and respect from the public while they get none( mostly deserved) thank you for your service!

In short : Cops are convinced they can make up the law as they go along, and they're mostly correct in that assumption.
The officers should have clearly seen that these women pose no threat. They escalated unnecessarily.

Problem is the job literally goes to all of their heads. Its nearly impossible to be a LEO and not have an ego which is why most of this BS happens. You gotta be a certain typa person to be a a cop.. Aka psycopathic/Egotistical

That should have been the response here. Again this traffic stop allegedly was initiated as the cops knew she had an expired license. I've even heard of the driver being issued a citation and then allowed to leave with the vehicle as long as everything else checks out.

Either way, it could be avoided if she just simply pulls off a good 1000 ft? it's so frustrating watching these officers turn nothing into something, all because of their own egos
@Chris Chavarria well when they told me to trust police, there was a fat man squeezing down a chimney dropping presents under a tree, and some rabbit gave you eggs oh and the tooth fairy. just like honest cops...they don't exist
At least the didnt shot them
He was not concerned with her safety. He was mad.
It bugs me how they say "I'm not playing this game". If you're questioning an officer about your rights, how is that a game?
Projection is an interesting phenomenon. By accusing someone of something, often times you're engaging in that very thing yourself. In this case, "playing games" is skirting around basic constitutional/human rights.
Tyrants know that being polite with us is only a game and they will only play it so long.
It's really alarming how many police officers around the country, show such a blatant disgust with the public. Both of these officers escalated this situation for absolutely no reason. They turned a simple traffic stop into a huge ordeal
These Officers did not do anything escalating to this traffic stop. She refused to drive up and give the Officer a Identification Card so the Officer asked her to step out because she was being temporary detained for not following Officer Instructions. If she were to follow rules and show an ID than it would have not escalated to them having to detain her. She was in the wrong for not giving response to what the Officers had asked.
@@rpgtrainer what do you mean *"We will Try You!"*
@@1kej612 Yea they did, they started the situation, and escalated it every step of the way. What they did is a text book definition of escalation. All over their hurt fefes. It's a standard feature of tyrants they are very sensitive.
@@1kej612 maybe when you grow up you'll understand..
@@Damitsall Did you guys notice how far away that woman actually was? she was so far, like 2 light poles away. So far that when the cop started walking to her car it took him so long to get there that Audit the audit had to fast forward it to not waste the viewers time. you could fit a ball court between her and the cops. there was absolutely zero reason to ask her to leave except that cops are control freaks and egotistical megalomaniacs. that means obsessed with their own power for anyone who doesnt have a dictionary.
I really wish the Supreme Court wouldn’t protect the “safety” of government officials ambiguously or arbitrarily. Every directive from an officer can’t simply be boiled down to “it’s for my safety”
For Christ sakes cops carry a taser, pepper spray, a baton, handcuffs, a bulletproof vest, and a damn gun. How unsafe could you really feel having all of those tools at your disposal?
As a citizen I feel unsafe because police seem to have a vested interest in protecting their own, so footage goes missing, reports get misfiled, officers in the wrong aren’t adequately punished, etc.
What about my safety as a citizen?
Amen!!!!!
Guilty until suggested otherwise.
@@trishaseegmiller8648 So.....104%
Cop wasn't concerned for safety holding her door open with his back to oncoming traffic. I appreciate the sheriff for issuing the statement (after the pressure got put on from the video going around TH-cam lol) & retraining the officers.
