G'day Martin my name is Paul, it's good to see an older bloke fishing and not dressed up like a dogs dinner.I'm 66 and my fishing clobber is much the same as yours. I like your videos going back to bread and butter fishing. Tight lines and keep up with the top videos.
Being on the water is exactly it. When in the Army based in Townsville. The wife would drop me at the ramp. I would launch and she would take the trailer home and wait for my call to pick me up. I would Motor to one end of Cleveland bay, set the rods and just lie on the bottom of the boat, drift to the other end of the bay. Looking out for charter boats obviously. Lol. All about the serenity and forgetting about work etc.
Old school fishing at its best! Bait, skill, patience, experience and Alvey reels! Head to head with those young plastic blokes, I’ll back Martin for a feed every day!
Nice spot.Enjoying your vids…keep up the good work.As it’s already been said no flashy clothes or stupid noises when you catch something….Much appreciated by all I think…Its nice to see someone using an Alvey.
Thank you for sharing. I always remove the Yabby's big nipper as of a night when you put your hand in the bait bucket you can just about bet that one will give you a nip to make sure your awake.
@@F.U.FishingandMore Yep, night time, trying to watch your other rod tip whilst reaching for another yabby to rebait and yup its got you. Bugger if they get you on the side of the nail.
@@glennmerchant6275 that's exactly where they get you nearly every time, the wife used to hold them that tight they couldn't bite, they weren't alive by the time she got them on the hook either lol
Another great video. I to recently purchased the wide gap at Tackleland Sandgate and i also purchase a alvey reel to match what you are doing. Taking onboard your advice many thanks Michelle
Spotted, occasionally you get the bared ones down there to. the spotties normally work their way down the river this time of the year and I catch them up in the shallow water with the whiting around the mouth. Thanks for watching

Even on a slow day you always taught me that catching the fish is a bonus. By the way the SunSmart thing is great but still kinda scary 😂
it's good to see you were paying attention in those lesions, you better get used to the sun mask before the 3-generation fish off lol
Hi Martin, which species of Javelin fish are they? Cheers
