Bkk, kumho and eagle claw all make a size 4 wide gap or kahle pattern. Some classic mustad wide gaps are still online at hooked online but aren't being made anymore however plenty of a chemically sharp version available on the gold coast. Thanks for the enjoyable videos
Another good one Martin, btw Danny's shop is 'Island Fishing Supplies' , Banksia and Bellara, some nice lizards there, fritters/ fishcakes looked great, cheers 👌
Hi Martin, had a look at that beach last weekend, lovely spot for a picnic, swim ect, was a bit light on water at low tide lol, amazing how far such a fish like flathead will swim looking for a feed, and if your not into lures whitebait on a 3 hook rig cast and retrieved in a lift and drop fashion works great.
I mainly stick to the yabbies because you normally get a lot of good whiting mixed with the flathead this time of the year, just this year the whiting are a little light on for this time of the year for some reason, but like you say a lovely spot like that the fish are just a bonus
Another beaut video Martin. I've been trying to find your Garlic Butter powder in Coles, but no luck. I might be looking in the wrong section. Can you share where you get yours, and what brand you use. Cheers mate.
Bundaberg Garlic Butter, I've seen it in meat city in Caboolture but I get mine from Mandez at Narangbar which is a big butcher supply place, hope this helps cheers
The kumho wide gaps are good but I usually use mustad stainless oshaunassy number 6 and 4 there good cause they don't rust. And if they go blunt I just carry small stone put a point back on them
Yeah, lately I've been using the cheap China take off of the mustard they work just as good but they do go blunt quick, as you say you just tough them up with a little stone or at the price they are you just put on another, cheers
You can get whiting on any part of the tide you just have to change your spots depending what stage the tide is at when you want to go fishing, hope this helps cheers
fish pieces diced fine, shallots, mashed potato, cooked rice, mexican cheese blend and celery salt. good fritter combo.
Thanks for sharing I'll have to try it, cheers

Where’s a good spot to park at sandstone mate. Just looking at the maps. Don’t see much access Cheers 🍻
I normally park at the access to the concrete steps which is the first street to the left after you turn at the lights, cheers
Hey mate, just wondering what tide you think is best for whiting. I always thought bottom half of the incoming tide?
You can get whiting on any part of the tide you just have to change your spots depending what stage the tide is at when you want to go fishing, hope this helps cheers
Just bought some wide gap no4 on eBay 100 for $12
that's a lot better than what you would pay for mustard and I've had no trouble with the Chinese take off. cheers
Martin Poppy Case just letting you know I am enjoying your videos and reports very informative and good quality thank for taking the time 🎣🚤🍷👍
