Thanks for posting this. I recently saw Commando's 2 Remaster for sale, and it got me remembering a demo for Commando's Behind Enemy Lines that I played as a kid. It was this mission, mission #2 and I played this mission probably 50 times as a kid. Off to the steam store to buy Commandos!
Exactly!!! I always tried to kill all of them, took a turn around the block and making everything apparently more difficult than what it should have been. This guy makes me look even worse in this game. But I truly enjoy watching him play the game.
Doesn't matter man. We are playing games to enjoy our time. If you had fun trying to figure out ways to win in those three hours then what does it matter.
Everyone from my cousins completed all missions with cheats. Only I completed them within 3 months. Good old childhood memories. Now I am an IT guy who only watches these videos and enjoys recalling old times lol
One of the best game i have ever played. Be it storyline, strategy, characters, ease of playing. Brilliant! Hope someday it's compatible with today's computer.

I remember as a kid I tried to kill as many nazis as I could in this game. I first tried it on an Eidos demo disc that were given away for free at CompUSA. Inside it were demos for Commandos, Final Fantasy VII and trailers for Thief: The Dark Project and Daikatana.
I loved this series, but I’d ignore the time and try and eliminate as many enemies, and destroy as many buildings and vehicles as I could. Had to mute the voices though as the get annoying real quick. Can’t wait for commandos 2 coming to the switch in Dec 2019!!

very agressive start saves a lot of time, from memory I dont remember the game being so difficult to get 3 gold merits but I cannot do it on the steam version perhaps i just never cared about it back then.
Did anyone ever play the demo of this game. The guys only spoke when you selected them and not when moving. Also the germans had deeper voices that sounded more german. I liked that because you click a lot in this game. Wish they stuck to that. But either way this was an awesome game
Another way is to get the sniper, Green beret and marine to cross after you get the Soldier on the fence and let the Green beret climb the fence, hide behind the bottom left house inside the base till It’s the right time to stab both guards when they’re not looking.. and off you go
I used to come from the wall but your system is better. I also like to make a chain with the barrels linking the guard's barrack with the oil depot, thus creating a solidary explosion to kill more people and causa more destruction.
I used to get the Diver jailed. Then, with a right click, he would break the jail and roam around as if he was invisible to the enemy, and kill everyone.
It's a beautiful game but a little hard for me. For example, in this mission, there's no hint for dropping a clock ticking bomb near the fuel tanks. I was trying to move the barrels and make it explode. Poor me. :}
I'm having an issue with this level: I did everything shown here but when the truck leaves to finish the level, nothing happens. It just stays there on the edge of the screen. Is it a bug? Did I miss something maybe? I tried relauching the game, playing everything again and nothing... Hoping someone still plays
@@v.madhankumar4026 you just haven't got right to the egde of the screen. I tried so many times to escape without success. One thing that bought me extra time was to hide the sapper en the east side of the rocks that are at the top right of the map. I set the trap for the round of guards that are walking around and ran back to hide in the same place. Once I kill the firs guard, the rest will be upset, but they will continue with their path. I repeated the trap set until I killed all of them, then I prepared the bomb and the truck on my way out. That gave me plenty of time to click in the top right side of the screen until I got the truck to escape. Hope this helps you.

Okay that was a much better way to finish it😅 , i usually went through the mid section with the sniper, marine and driver after getting the 1st guy on the fence.. then go all the way to the top left with the Driver to machine gun the top troops while the sniper eliminates the left tower.. then bring the rest and let the Green beret cross over the fence to stab the 2 troops ( 1 walking in base and the security at the door ) then release the ladders for the rest of the team.. blow the nuclear up and drive home.. but okay😂

Hi, tell me why you dont get a promoted to Coproral after this map? You get 2x3 stars for merit mission so you should have now 6 stars and get promoted. I Asking, cause now wanna play this game perfect and i get after second map coproral and dont know why you didn't get?
I would guess you put a bomb on that middle island and hopefully get the timing right. Or maybe you could shoot it with sniper rifle to get the timing right.
Despite how Difficult this game was It sure is good to see someone uploading this and to see this again.

It was great deceptive method.
The Germans in said boat might have gotten too tired of all too common Norwegian resistance attacks like that.

You cant save during mission, but after you finish a mission, you receive a code, this code helps you go to next mission, you can get it online

You're better off with the original version of the second game. Otherwise, hope you enjoy.
Commandos logic: Explosives can blow up buildings, tanks, the whole enemy army but the Green Beret's decoy still fine.
Anw, I love this game haha.
in the expansion, it actually turns to dust when near an explosion but you can still pick it up and use again, haha
Same with Marine's boat, enemy shoot it up, you pick it up and you can use it again xD

This is like hardest game that i have ever played.
Definitely the best commando game ever. Only military strategist know it so well. May somebody remake it for current OS? Love it so much.

I have no idea why the mission intros take so long, at first I thought the game broke down but I see I am not the only one with this problem
The pauses sure are awkward, but the narration and the pictures are still gold.

M l K E M l had the Demo version as well. The only missions that it contained was this one, 3, 5, and 7! I loved playing this on Windows 98 desktop!

Maybe to late but, press tab and the backpack will go left it will give you the extra room to click down the road

I tried many times only to find out that the boat is indestructible. It was 2004.
