Porsche did not advise using the front spoiler without adding the rear spoiler. Driving it the way this one is speced actually increases lift at speed.
Yes, I saw that too. I took it up to speed with just the front and it preserves the steering feel at 120mph and above where before it was none. I did feel the rear getting light and a little wag of the steering wheel confirmed this. So I think the front only is OK provided the car is moving somewhat in a straight line and doesn't have to make any drastic course changes. For short bursts on a highway not hitting top speed, it's probably OK. But if I'm in Germany hitting 120 for 30 minutes between towns I would highly recommend the rear spoiler to match.
@@3.2CarreraAt 140mph on a straight road (once), I felt very unstable. I also just have the front lip. I prefer the looks with just the front with no rear.
The three things I do not like about my 911SC 1. Comfort seat sit too high. I am 6 foot and there is less than one finger between my head and ceiling. 2. Speedometer reads almost 10 mph faster at freeway speeds. Sounds like this is a common Porsche engineered feature. This can be cured by sending the unit out. 3. Porsche stopped putting in the wind wings and rear windows that would open. Would be great to get more air flow on warm days. Love mine too.
It depends on who you talk to, but that's the general consensus. Mine was cold when I bought the car. Then the compressor seized. Then I took it to the shop and had it professionally repaired. It was ice cold, but seized again. I cleaned up the system, repaired it, but never could get it ice cold. I didn't use it much anyway and in FL I think it dumps too much heat into the engine bay. So good riddance. It can be made to work with some of the new stuff that's offered, but I prefer the weight savings.

My 3: 1) AC not so easy to use, 2) down shifting to second gear on a curve, 3) deflated spare tire. Overall, I love the car.
I have to read the owners manual every time I get in it just to figure out the defroster.

@@michaels2916 I like the idea of having those rear windows opening too.
@@3.2Carrera Vent windows in the front too. One more reason to backdate.
lol agree on lift , my sc goes feather light above 180kph , I have to lift off very easy .
i always understood the “A/C” was a paperweight and pointless in these cars. i thought AC did not work until 964. Am i wrong?

If you thing the Porsche seating position is offset, you should try a Ferrari !
lol forget the ac
I've survived the summer here in S. FL and so far so good. A white car and good tint goes a long way.
@@3.2Carrera pro tip after traveling in summer in spain in my SC . Noise cancelling head phones , so you have the windows open fully at speed .
