+Valdemar Cruz Hi, thanks! Unfortunately we don't know...we are not the bike owner, we simply filmed the bike on a racetrack.

    Hi! Love your video!
May I ask you a question about the Street triple R. I'm planning to buy a Street Triple R 2010 and I was concerned about the breaking system. Is it powerful enough to ride on track? Does it have enough bite? I used to have a SV650s and then bought a Fz8 and I was disappointed with the breaks (not enough bite), so I have always been a bit sceptical of roadsters and I don't want to be disappointed again. I have tried the Daytona 675 2011. Is the Street triple R breaking comparable to the Daytona? Thanks for your help.

The Daytona 675 2011 has Brembo brakes, they have much more bite compared to the Street Triple R from 2010. The STR has Nissin brakes, so has mine Street Triple 675 2008 model (no ABS). I understand you are skeptical. I rode 24K kilometers on it and I personally think that these brakes are not really suitable for tracks.

@@chobinfoot Thanks for your message. This is really helpful. I have been getting different opinions on the STR. Some suggested that changing the breaking oil and pads considerably improved the breaking. Have you been on track with your ST? How did it feel? I'm an intermediate rider on track and don't necessarily expect to have breaks as good as on the daytona, but I don't want to end up with a bike with poor breaking either. The STR has adjustable forks as well and I slightly different riding position compared to the ST if I'm right. Maybe that would improve the behaviour of the bike?

@@steved5960 You're welcome. Yes, you can upgrade the braking power with other pads, oil and metal-coated brake lines. But I don't have experience with other pads and oil. I'm also an intermediate rider on track and having more bite in the brakes is always welcome. The STR suspension/adjustable forks makes the difference in performance, the feedback while cornering is way much better than mine. For this reason I upgraded my 'regular' ST with Hyperpro (progressive) springs/oil. The cornering speeds increases, because of the instant feedback of the bike's behaviour. Then again, the braking power remains the same. The Street Triple from that year is a true fun machine in my biased opinion, but I can't tell if the brakes are good enough for you ;)

@@chobinfoot Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions. Much appreciated. I will see if I can test drive a STR before making my decision. Many thx.

@@steved5960 Without reading everything you two rode down here. The Nissin-brakes are suitable for hard trackriding. Just use some highgrade brakefluid like "Motul SBF" and track oriented brakepads! In Germany there is a Triumph-Cup with a class only allowed 675 Street Triples and they are mostly stock!

I think you are completely wrong. I've ridden them both, and the STR is so much better, since it has the chassies of a proper sport bike.

+Chris Doms At the moment it says (correctly) Street Triple. Maybe it was "Speed Triple" and he changed it to "Street Triple" after your initial comment?

Aah he's obviously changed it, heres what it looks like even now in my notifications window:
