If you what to know the symptoms of leaking valve cover gasket and how to recognize if you have bad valve cover gasket we are going to explain that in this video. Leaking valve cover gasket are annoying due to the fact that oil will drip on the engine and exhaust and that can cause smell and smoke coming from the engine bay in addition leaking valve cover gasket / bad valve cover gasket may cause your engine not to run right which can lead to accident so we will always recommend to replace valve cover gasket that is leaking as soon as you can. Would you recommend changing the spark plugs being that some may have been exposed to the oil?
I do realize most people may say just do it while you're in there and I agree, but I am asking more as a matter of fact.
Also, if the other side is not leaking, should I do it anyway?

My 2013 Altima is apparently leaking into the 2nd spark plug area! Sometimes my car doesn’t start! After trying multiple times, it starts! If I change the valve cover gasket will it fix the issue of sometimes my car not starting due to the oil?
I’m having a similar problem with my Malibu. Sometimes it will try and misfire and apparently I have oil leaking into my spark plug area too, good luck on fixing it👍
I had two of my spark plug wells full of oil. Surprisingly no misfires or no starts. But I’m finishing up my valve cover gaskets and your tube seals are shot. Should fix it but if it doesn’t there is a deeper issue at hand. Good luck and don’t wait. You can risk a fire leaving oil in spark plug wells
is it the sound when you press on gas padel and rpm goes up to 2-3 and then leave it and it makes whistle kind of noise?
One thing people don't think of and depending on your crank case ventilation setup you may get symtoms of a vacuume leak especialy if you have a setup with a crank case pressure release check valve then the crank case air intake breather valve on the other side. Bad valve cover gasket would mess up how the pvc works and would cause too much air to be sucked in both throught the pcv check valve and the pcv pressure intake breather.
Pcv valve canndo the weirdest things when blocked. Mine was stuck closed car would stall when warm and not start again until cool again lol. 40 minutes sometimes it would take to start, then had to get it home asap before it stalled again. Pcv valve.

Yes it can. Imaging your engine running with no Lubricant "oil".
Please reply back to me i have an 83 volkswagen rabbit diesel with the 1.6l sohc 4cyl and my valve cover gasket leaks and i have no air filter on my car so im trying to figure out if the oil possibly is getting sprayed into my air filter wich is causing my exhaust to puff white smoke???
White smoke is generally water/coolant. Blue is oil.
@@benjamindejarnette5714 I was also told the unburnt fuel was the issue and could be the cause for the smoke but I sold that car so I don’t have to worry anymore lol

cause it can as oil is coming out of gasket even a few drops and landing on exhaust manifold etc and could catch fire!. Mine is the Z20LET and very common to leak. Only seems to leak though when i floor the car lol then i can smell oil and see smoke under bonnet.

I agree with user below, it's your head gasket. You have a blown head gasket very expensive to repair, and hard for a DIY even for a mechanic with the newer car so much stuff to take out... Most people who have a blown head tend to just buy a new engine or a car...
tail pipe smoke is car is burning oil. Could be numerous things.
@@andisadler2897 could be oil leaking, or coolant leak. Or maybe something as simple as pcv valve.
@@Tekevin also could be piston rings, blown head gasket. Like i sad bro numerous reasons.
