I saw an interview and I didn’t realize how close they really were! Lionel lived in Kennys guest house! When Kenny’s wife was in labor he asked Lionel to go for a car ride and Lionel said he told Kenny “shouldn’t you be with your wife why are you riding around with me (discussing the soon to be birth of his child) and Kenny said “because you’re my best friend”. Lionel teared up when telling that story ❤️

Two of my favorite singers ever
2 amazing legends. Lionel did a phenomenal duet of Endless Love with Shania Twain he helped her get her confidence back when recovering her voice after losing it from Lyme's disease. There's a video on her page as part of a series of her journey to get her voice back and part of it is when she is at Lionel's house to record he's so sweet and encouraging it's wonderful. Then there's a video of the duet which is amazing

I am so glad you included the back story because it is hilarious! Fact: The Commodores wanted to get back to more of their funk roots at the time. They missed out, and Kenny hit the jackpot. His voice was perfect for 'Lady.' This bromance will forever be remembered. Lionel was so heartbroken when we lost Kenny.
