It’s crazy to think that as a 51 year old Irishman I have been listening to this song for40 years yet here I am…. Let me tell you that your version ranks up there with the best edge could produce. Really beautiful, thank you.
I love this cover of U2's 11 O'clock Tick Tock as it captures the atmospheric music of U2 and previously introduced me to the use of Delays and Reverb. It also takes me back 40 years to the beer soaked days of the early 80's in college in NC.
I love old U2 music and I am a huge fan ( not the new stuff ) and I thought you nailed it. You could close your eyes and listen and you would swear that it was the Edge and Adam playing that. Good job in the work that you put into this! Impressive!!
This just warms my heart. For a song, a guitar song that I have loved since I was 16 years old. Today I am 55. Thank you for that wonderful rendition. People like to criticize the Edge for whatever reason. But I think he has created some of the most sublime pieces with an economy of notes.
I was never a huge fan of this song, so I overlooked the guitar solo. However, Songs of Surrender reintroduced me to the track and I fell in love with the acoustic version of this solo, which in turn led me back to the original version of this song. Full circle.
@@esperago the same with me...i wasn't a big fan of song until live at Red Rock video came out. The Edge kills this song at that show. Wish I could of been there
Wow... The Edge is deep within your music. You sound amazing 👏 I love the Boy Album so much , listening to you play gives me goosebumps. Please,,, Another time, Another place 🙏 Soo much beauty in your style , nobody plays like this anymore. Keep rocking 😎
Excellent job! I'm thankful for the You Tube algorithm bringing me to your page. U2 fan since I was a teen in the mid 80's. I learned this song during this time but don't play much anymore. It's probably my favorite older song by them. I'm tempted to revisit it! I also came across the clip of you playing with them on stage. How awesome is that! You were the perfect person to get that chance. Hope you got to catch them at the Sphere. It was an incredible experience. Take care and keep up the great work!
You are amazing. This along with Tomorrow and drowning man are to me the best examples of Edges playing. He has done much more but to me these are his best work. (beautiful day was a great return to that sound though). You play this so good.
A real fave tune of mine. I have to say, to my ear, your tone for this video was REAL convincing. Souded really close to The Edge, especially from 2:40 onward
Vedi cara mia...Quando ascoltavo questi brani probabilmente non eri neanche nata...E li ripeti DIVINAMENTE..Sei grande, mi emozioni....Continua così...Un bacione Michele
The Edge and Adam Clayton will be very pride of you, for me this record is one of the best in this band carrer , lots of memories of my youth, at the university...one of the bands thats impulse to me to learn play electric guitar was this band... i still learning
I love Adam's bass lines at the time. "Faster yet slower" as Martin Hannett liked to say. Very much in line with Peter Hook, John Taylor, Sting. Martin Hannett actually did record a version of this song before they signed to Island and before the Steve Lillywhite era (the Eno/Lanois era is my fave). They only ever did the one track as a single with Martin Hannett because they hated working with him. I think it wasn't long after Ian Curtis died and after he had left Factory Records because his budgets went to the Hacienda so he had already taken a knee at that point and begun his descent into oblivion. Great job, great performance btw! I know Under A Blood Red Sky like the back of my hand and you knocked it out of the park.
Yep, I love it! I didn't get Edge's signature leather Fender strap a few years back because I couldn't justify the price tag. I didn't mind spending a little bit extra for this one, knowing that it was for a great cause.
One day you need to bring your gear into a warehouse and just crank some songs out loud. Great tone on this one and control on those harmonics. And “Bring on the Dancing Horses” . I used to listen to that everyday on my drives to Uni
My daughter said that you are my female version, because you like the Echo & The Bunnymen , U2 and X-Files too. Hugs from Amazonic Region / Brazil, Stephanie !!! Best wishes !
Bono and the boys had no idea who you were back when you got up on stage w them. If they did know, I'm sure they would been of really freaked out had you played more songs

How many of us are singing along with steph's playing?
I could say the same.

What a great rendition. I've probably watched 20 or so times and it never gets old.
I agree. All her covers are superb. They're like the best U2 karaoke tracks one could ask for.
Excellent. Could not be better. Like listening to the red rocks concert

The only bad thing about this vídeo is that it ends. Outstanding playing. It took me back in time straight away. Perfect tunning

I loved it. I wish they’d play this one more often live.

I loved the first one too! And yes to the Bunnymen. Spare us The Cutter 😃
Great playing. New Explorer looks and sounds amazing!
Brings a warm glow to my heart to hear this song again
That tone!! - and all of the little subtleties, I would swear it's Edge playing if I wasn't watching you perform. Outstanding.
Wonderful. This U2 song got me through some difficult years and so did the Bunnymen great t-shirt and great performance of 11 O'Clock Tick Tock 💙
Hell yeah!!
Steph that’s just brilliant…! After a couple of bars I’m suddenly back in the 80’s..!! Your sound is so spot on… well done..!!!
A real fave tune of mine. I have to say, to my ear, your tone for this video was REAL convincing. Souded really close to The Edge, especially from 2:40 onward
