i first did an "mma" training in 2008. before that it was all just playing around, little boxing little wrestling (though i chose to focus on baseball in high school 2004-2008)....and as a really young lad, i had elders who were legit hakkyu ryu jiu jitsu players who made me sit on my knees and drill hand fighting and various positions and submissions. i also was very interested in tae kwon do kuk sool and karate as a lad. great times. the life and times of a martial artist. i went from age 21 (2011) until age 28 (2018) with minimal training and a spotty at best diet and regiment. now i am back, in 2019, now turning 30 as we begin 2020. im not playing this time though. Uncle Chael.... i got a mean streak in me.

I think the average yearly payout is 135+k. It's not bad, but I think it's still too low if they want to attract those super athletes. The guys that can basically pick what sport they want to pursue. Hell the guys in MLS are making more 200k average and we're talking about a league that can range from 15th to 10th best in the world. And 10 is being generous lol. UFC is way bigger in the States than MLS, yet they are making more than the average in the UFC. They need to increase the pay more if they want to attract world class athletes. Don't get me wrong, there are some really great athletes in the UFC, but the is also a big drop off.
