I have a theory. In my experience my flow state is generated by a mix of confidence, positivity, keeping a level head, and staying focused. I haven't achieved flow state often but when I did I noticed an immediate change. I was more calm and collected it felt like I was watching a pro player but it was me playing. Dont doubt yourself even for a second it will break the flow, have confidence and trust in yourself and your teammates. ignore the worries. flow state will come naturally just focus on your task.

have experienced flow state many times in gaming career it legit feels like a different person playing. but one tip i have for everyone what i would do to help with aim under stress was do a few pushups and squats before doing any aim training to get the heart pumping and get used to aiming while bpms rise. combine this with learning to control your breathing while stressed as fast as possible and keeping a cool head will do wonders

@@con3728 yeah it is, I mostly practiced mindfulness for 2 hours (1 hr in the morning a day and when I was playing soccer I felt myself enter the zone and I also haven’t played for years but I did get tired really fast. After the game my brother and his friends told me it was as if I never stopped training.
Then I played modern warfare remastered at my cousins and I haven’t played games for a long time, only 8 ball pool on my phone sometimes and was much more cautious and again entered the zone and destroyed the opponents.
Also developed more strategical thinking which I think I’ll have to give credit to playing chess.
That day (of modern warfare remastered) I also tried played fortnite my first game I did so bad. My second game though I got so close to 1st place but I only had 3 kills.
I really surprised myself though as I had a 1v1 with my cousin that plays everyday and was pretty much toe to toe. I’m now thinking of getting a pc set up but as for rn i’m just playing mobile COD and banG Dream! Lol
I think meditation works to the extent of keeping you in the appropriate mind state for the action you are in preforming not letting the little things throw you out of orbit.
      (Edited because of bad grammar)
Wow this is long… as for right now I’m not meditating but I do want to get back to it made me feel good afterwards.

I remember the first 2 times that I enter the flow with both happening while I was playing BO2.
first time was playing battle royale and running around with duel revolvers and getting 20+ kills and no deaths.
The second was hard point and I ended up with a 39 kill streak with no deaths using just a shotgun and sniper .
The FLOW is some serious shit

Through csgo and r6 i've experienced the flow states many times, like it's said in the video most of the time it was in "desperate" situation
suddenly the time feel slower, you don't fear anything but at the same time you are still cautious of your environnement, every little sound pop more and every bit of information gather faster and you start hitting shot that blow your mind when you go back to them, naughty 180's, wall bangs etc
a clutch situation become easy even tho your entire team say gg in the chat, this feeling is the best feeling in all games cause you can see how far you can go and how good you can be

Just play a playlist of music and if you get into flow you wont notice even if youre 5 songs in. And you wont remember hearing any of them. I did it in cod bo3 cause you can just get vibe and the environment is great for flow.

thank you so much for this video, I was accidentally doing all of these things and noticed I got into flow state a few times this week while playing league. I was eating foods that had tryptophan which I knew would help with seratonin release, and then I would skate but I figured that was just healthy for its own reasons but didn’t know it would help convert the tryptophan into seratonin. When I stopped skating, and slipping with my diet, my gameplay got significantly worse. I can testify that this video is spot on, and combining it with exercise is key. This really tied it together for me, thank you. Also who knew, weed releases anandamide lol. No wonder

I heard somewhere that thinking consciously about it can have a negative impact aswell as in flow state you want your unconsciousness to do the stuff like aiming and all. Generally dont focus on aim and if you are in a gunfight, focus on the enemy model, crosshair, breathing etc and even if you dont go full flow, your unconsciousness will take the muscle memory you get from aim training. Ive noticed when i hit good shots generally I dont even think about it.

Okay so for before I say anything very good video I actually learned a few things like the cocoa and CBD being good for flow state everything else I already knew because I’ve been doing quite a lot of research on flow state myself which is why I’m really glad you touched up on the subject and I’ve been wanting to access it at will whenever wherever and for whatever now that kinda leads to my point in going into flow state or the zone it can only be accessed if your muscle memory for something is high so accessing it on whatever may not be possibly or it may but it may not last long I’m not sure however with muscle memory and for gaming I don’t recommend changing your sense unless you absolutely need to you’ll be doing more harm than good but anyways I’ll give an example so recently I made the switch from console to pc for siege on console i got to the point where I mastered my sense and I’ve been playing on a controller for as long as I can remember so muscle memory wasn’t a problem but I could tap into this zone almost willingly for about a rounds worth and when I switched over to keyboard and mouse I couldn’t tap into the zone like I did it’s because i was so new to kbm it was literally my first time every even touching it I was able to consistently go into this zone on console on r6 but same game different platform it felt impossible almost an unreachable goal as time goes by and as I get more used to my kbm and my sensitivity and mechanics I’ve gotten better not quiet yet there but I can feel my flow coming back I did upgrade my kbm and that kinda made me restart so it seems like even minor adjustments can really ruin your flow state it also seems like that muscle memory doesn’t really go away a few of my old console friends wanted to play r6 with me again so I booted up my old Xbox and the first thing they did was put on ranked now I don’t really care but I’m a competitive person at heart so I was not ready for this I haven’t played in months first time on and I have to go up against golds and plats anyways to my point I accessed flow like I normally would even after all that time away and changing my muscle memory from controller to kbm i ended the game carrying my team 9-0 to a 4-2 win so that either means I’m not ready to enter flow state on kbm or flow state is something that comes with a lot of repetition and as long as you remember you’ll be able to tap into it I’ve had similar things with sports but this has gotten very long so I’ll save that

It would be nice to just have a playlist that contains everything arranged from : Mental/Mindset Principles to apply for day to day life and gaming ; Dietary knowledge - caffeine/other supplements , be it from healthy diet or not ; and Physical - Exercise stimulates the brain.
It's very useful to go through these kinds if videos, but perhaps an entire organized list would be a godsent to a lot of people. This isn't JUST about gaming, this is about improving your general life.

I achieved flow state last night when tripping on acid, it was like everything I’ve ever learned from every game and every death goes into one single kill, but it’s every kill, I didn’t even feel my hand moving to the guys head and I would see my arm go really fast then dead stop mid speed at where the persons head was, I would exit the mindset after every insane kill I would get, put my hands on my head and say holy fuck and actually be freaking out with how inhuman it was, whenever shroud hits a flick that’s what flow state is like

I’m a very average gamer but I find I can quickly snap into flow state whenever I’m last man standing on my team (in a BR). It’s just like a switch is flipped. But then if I go play same game solo, the switch never gets flipped - I just get so passive. Very weird seeing as I’m effectively solo in both situations, but I’m way less focused when I’m actually just playing alone.

I experienced this while playing Brawlhalla with my friends.
They always smashed me to the ground and I often got angry so this time I had to adjust my tactics/gameplay.
I calmed myself a little bit down by smoking some weed and suddenly I didn’t care anymore if they smashed me.
But after a few minutes my brain went on autopilot. The way I predicted their moves and the way how I could hit and outplay them precisely was incredible. I singlehanded wipe both of them out with such a speed and perfect output, that they were unable to do anything but running away from me.
They were so flashed, so they called me cheater and wondered what just happened.
Since then I’m not allowed to smoke anymore while playing this game 😂

I have a question. A short time ago I got into a different state. I doubt that was a flow state, but that made my skill increase for a short period of time. I got a feeling of being aware, focus and fun like speeding up on a highway to a crazy speed. After a minute or two, I got distracted and it gone away. What was that?
