We have had two domestic violence murders in my family. My mama was murdered by her husband of 18 months at the age of 52. My daughter’s best friend was murdered on her twin daughters 9th birthday on Christmas Eve by a guy she had only been on a couple dates with when she wanted to leave his house to be with her babies. Every woman who has been abused needs an Angel like this.
This is such a powerful song. I've known far too many women with abusive partners - the lucky ones survived .. . BTW, restraining orders are useless. Thanks for playing this & your comments.
I have been here, and no one helped me because everyone was scared of what would happen to them. But after recent events, I have faith in humanity again. There are still men and women ready to do the right thing regardless of the consequences to them.... and now I am strong enough to be the same way. No one stepped up for me, but I damn sure step up for anyone else.
The 'how did I get here?!' is the one that's the most agonizing. There's not always a way out and there's never an 'easy' way out. By the time it gets to that point, you're well and truly stuck and brainwashed enough to not question it. To all the victims who have managed to get out and stay out alive...I salute you! xoxoxo

It's definitely a mental game. They wear you so far down mentally that you don't believe there is help available or that you will be believed. Many abusers are great chameleons. They only show their dark side at home.

Exactly right. Relationships don't start out like this. And often, it's only when the doors are locked that life changes. Once your names are tied, your finances, your home, and children. And society doesn't always circle around these women. Or men, by the way. Especially children. You would think, but I would guess some of those kids shunted away in hospitals or juvie...have stories to tell. I loved finding this song, this artist actually. The country I like, with heart and a story
My reaction to this song is that he saved her from more misery but also that if he had just drove her away then the abuser would have found another victim or victims so he broke the cycle....having been raised to respect women and all people I find it painful to think of just how many victims are out there...I pray they might someday find safety and peace...thank you for your honest reaction...Karl from eastern Canada☮☮🙏🙏

yeah 6 years i did step up thats all ill say about it...but truely ladys if a guy is doing that to you get help...even if its not in the way of a cop seak a good friend or any thing to help you...and if you need someone to talk to message me or even bd will im sure give you pointers in what to do...great vid bro

I started to watch this but I had to turn it off. I was in that situation, got out thank God. For women who are still in it - the most dangerous time is when you leave. Have a plan and stick to it. Don't waver! Life is so good and you deserve to truly live it.

But for battery. I was released. My brother showed up with his goons. But that man was in jail so his demolished his precious Camaro after he saw the Polaroids taken of me. Using nothing but a baseball bat. The police saved his life and he went to prison.

As a survivor, love the song. Could have used a 'Hardy'. Many, many years down the road and much stronger would easily be a "Hardy".
She says angels dont do what he did, but in the scripture, it says that angels are God's warriors. So I'm pretty sure he was her guardian angel.
