Sure. The game modes are KOTD and Last stand.
I honestly enjoy it so far. My only complaint is I wish there was more depth to the rebel faction (more units, vehicles, weapons) but it just released so I’m not too worried about that. I love the map and all the new weapons especially the R4 and Galat. The SLR is like the cherry on top for this DLC. Great weapons, lore friendly, my new favorite CDLC.
So far love the mod, but remember, obv there will be no major stuff YET. Its brand new, and the devs said they PLAN to expand the map (look around the map, theres a lot of stuff and random assets, so its pretty obv) Sure its small but so far it is rlly good imo, unique and FINALLY a desert map, next should be snow. (Also, the devs also said they are going to add more guns, cars, and add on to the factions)
Thanks for the added bit of info at the end. I absolutely LOVE this CDLC. It’s my new favorite. I just wish the rebel faction had a little more depth to it. That’s my only complaint. But I’m sure there’s more to come. The new Galil rifles, (Galat and R4) as well as the SLR are some of my favorite aspects.

I’m enjoying the new dlc it’s probably one of my favorite dlc I wasn’t expecting it to be so open and I love it and I only paid 5$ so I can’t complain I’m happy it wasn’t another 30$

Camels. That sold me. But seriously, I really loved what I saw, so I purchased it on release day. My main takeaway from this? Cinematics. Between you and FlawlessWargamer, I learned a lot about machinimas in Arma. For years I used to try and make machinimas in OFP for my C&C mod, but now that I am learning the ropes of Arma 3 modding myself, and have now a computer that can support it and every single mod ever downloaded, I can mix and match and switch between what I need dependant on what I need to film. I have a rather large video in production right now that I've been working on for the better part of the past year (Machinima is an Art, that's what FlawlessWargamer points out in every video) and this CDLC is actually perfect as far as terrain goes for it. I will be sure to point to your channel as well as his when it is finally uploaded, and then I will concentrate on filming some smaller art pieces before the next big thing, or when my mod is close to releasing. Sorry for that shameless plug, but I really couldn't have filmed much of my action scenes without your guidance.
I don't know if you have a Discord or Steam, but if there's an easier way to contact for tips, is it okay to contact you? I've had many ideas on the shelf but all it will take is the next push here to make them a reality. I'm an entertainer. I take screenshots and I do short films in games, always have, and Arma is perfect... At least for me.
Edit: I neglected to mention that I am involved in helping at least two major C&C mods already, but am going to be in the process of making my own for showcase soon.

How do i start up the dlc? when i select it like the vietnam one i just don't see any Campaigns challenges or stuff like that?

Please, I'm a newbie. I bought ARMA 3 and the DLC, but I don't know how to run it. I have it selected in the launcher, but I have nothing in the campaign.
It's under scenarios.

How do I load this game after I purchase it? I have it checked in my dlc and have the Sahara splash screen but cannot pick it anywhere
The game modes should be available on the main menu or under "scenarios" as extraction and alchemist. Also some servers running it
Why are the camel knees backwards?
I like it but cant get past first mission. Too hard dunno how to use the drone or anything

To be fair, Global Mobilization was freaking 20$. This is 6. I think you get a great bang for your buck.
GM was way better with its perfect terrain, the assets and the campaign!
Also GM is by far the best DLC...

I thought the weapon choices were odd, myself. Still good to seem them ingame.

Not sure what you mean? Playtime? Maybe 4-6 hours of extraction and testing new stuff. A few more trying the game modes

The extraction gameplay is fun, even when playing solo with AI. Finding out things on the fly I choose to restart the campaign a few times. I ended up completing the entire campaign with all objectives successfull and all side missions solo in 10 hours. But that was really grinding through the missions. Could have taken my time with some. But that's not important, the quality of the experience of the campaign was well worth the 6 bucks. It's executed really well. The missions come in random order, some missions have consequences for failing, some mission have varying locations. It's good fun!

They're squeezing this game out of milk, they should make that Arma 4.
This is a fan(creator) dlc that Bohemia simply adopted and made "official". They don't make it themselves
Some games update and give you lots of new things, to keep you interested. Arma says give me money or fuck off.
This creator DLC should’ve been added into the base game rather than a separate add on as a mod

what about bohemia return to the cold war with arma 3 game engine and

Bruh this is the first desert we got. the map is nice and now we don’t have to use takistan and Zargabad everytime. Though I will admit an arctic campaign would be cool
There are 2 cold war cdlcs already, there are 3 jungle maps (tanoa and 2 maps in SOG)

Arctic would be epic, with added (loss) of traction for vehicles driving on ice and snow.
Ifk about arctic but a North Korean themed map in winter would be cool af
Compering this crap to GM is a disgrace and insult. GM offered 100% new content, this are retextures, tiny map low effort cash grab. GM is in all and every aspects superior to western Sahara DLC. Archlight535 put it right this justifies no CDLC but is simple update material as did Bohemia with Malden.

if so compare all the crap in GM with Prairie Fire... its easy to talk shit over something that's not even on the same quality standard

All of these CDLC's are garbage compared to vanilla content DLC's.
GM was not loved at launch. It took them more than a year to turn it around
@@CebCine GM had at launch still 100% custom assets, two versions of the same map in different seasons, the vehicles infantry and gear is by far more detailed with more functions then this DLC. Compering them or even naming them in same sentence is a insult to GM and elevating this DLC on a level that it even doesn't belong to at all. this is Malden Free DLC level stuff. Love or not doesn't mean anything, in quality and content GM is still miles ahead of this. Even at launch.
