Western Sahara CDLC - #1, very much agree! Building on the 2035 lore and expanding on the smaller, lesser known factions is always refreshing. Also adding new lore friendly assets/factions helps mission makers to expand their scope when imagining new scenario's. All this at a very reasonable price. SOG CDLC - #2, again fully agree...it’s a bit pricier but the quality and quantity makes up for the price point. As you mentioned performance again is the biggest downfall, for those mission makers that value decent server FPS this one is do-able but you need to reign in your ambition to match the goal of 30+ server FPS as minimum. Spearhead - #3, hear i disagree a bit. I’d put global mobilization slightly ahead of this CDLC. While there is nothing inherently nothing wrong with the DLC, I’m sure it will receive a lot of love and update to flesh it out some, but the ambition and scope of the developers is greater than the performance will allow. This makes the beautiful terrain they crafted almost unplayable even at drastically reduced view range...this makes me sad as the content in this CDLC is very nicely done. Global Mob - #4, i think the cold war era, limited to the east vs west Germany is what is a putt off most players as they are just not that familiar with this part of history. Which is a shame as the CDLC is very well done and the maps are awesome. If you combine this CDLC and CSLA then there is so much you can do with all these assets if your focus is the cold war era. Unfortunately the cold war era , aside from Vietnam, is just not as popular as what comes before or after these era's ... which again is a shame. Iron Curtain - #5, personally i think this CDLC has a truly awesome terrain with a lot of potential. They have really interesting assets and some unique vehicles...thou on some of them they did drop the ball a bit especially on launch. But yes, very underrated and unfairly so. Great video as usual Ceb, keep up the good work!
I can say I recommend GM and Spearhead more or less the same. Spearhead is newer and will more likely draw more players initially. For the purpose of the video format its ranked higher. But in time GM might be a close third again we will see what happens!
Funny, my list would be almost entirely swapped around. - Global Mobilization would be my first one, I like the theme, campaign and details the most. It has also some really great missions and multiplayer fun like "Fashion Police" - 2nd Spearhead, its arma but ww2 whats not to like - CSLA would be my third, the campaign of this one is seperate in the workshop for some reason but its real fun, the map is good. - Then the new Reaction Forces one, because firefighting and the suicide drones - SOG, its arma, but in vietnam! - Last would be Western sahara for me, it has some really nice drone toys and gamemodes.
This video should have more views ! CSLA, I wished got some more love. I would create massive battles with those assets ! I wish more players played all the CDLC’s MP missions on official servers..😢
Yo Ceb! Good video and good idea making it for new players who approach Arma for the 1st time. May I ask you : which cutscene are those soldiers running from 8:13? Is it "supportteam"? Thanks 🤞
Not exactly. Many DLC brings custom animation, but not all cutscene animations created with motion tracking like the original Bohemia DLC and Expansion@@blackfalco33
Oh ok, thanks for the explanation Ceb! I've made some research and seems like cutscenes and animations are free for everyone even if you dont own the DLC that brings them? Is it correct?@@CebCine
For me it's like this: Do buy: S.O.G. Western Sahara, Global Mobilization. Don't: CSLA, Spearhead. CSLA and Spearhead-ish things already exist in mods.. besides the maps, they don't really add anything mods didn't already add.
Revisiting Spearhead via compat mod, I see Spearhead is getting good on handling their guns compared any WW2 mods like IFA3 and FoW. But the content is indeed very lackluster.
the lack of ai fellows in sog is really annoying and i dont really like the sog ai mod because i personaly have no need for such a mod but at the same time its boring to play lone
Buy them all and stop being cheap. That way you dont have to be the Guy that ruins it for everyone else because you dont have the proper dlc. Simple. Dk why that took 10 minutes to explain.... Theres nothing i cant stand more than wanting to do a mission but that one guy doesnt have the map or dlc so we have to skip it and go to the next, but then oh no now this person doesnt have the map/dlc so skip to the next mission. Just buy them all and dont be the guy that holds everyone back.
On one hand I agree. Much of the blame for the release has to fall on Bohemia themselves and not CSLA studios. I dont think the CDCL program was the correct fit for this maybe
I am so ready to try this game out. But why do all these DLC's need to have a pricetag? It starts to add up, including if you buy the bundle. Kind of a dumb move by the developers.
@@CebCine just the movement. Gunplay and vehicle physics. There is probably more but those are the key items that make up most of the gameplay. All of which are GARBAGE and so slippery and lack of any sense of groundedness it destroys the entire experience of the game. Everything is just so heavily downgraded when compared to arma 2 that it’s just embarrassing. It’s an arcade game! Hardly a serious military simulator
Me who owns all the DLC watching to see how bad I should feel bad.
😆
CDLC enjoyer
Weird thing is that even though I think GM and SOG are the best quality and content-wise I've had the most fun with Western Sahara and Iron Curtain.
Agree 100%
I think you hit the nail on the head here Ceb very good video 👍
Thank you !

GM is by far the best!

It's from contact dlc. It's relaxed walk something

Ah shit. Too late for me.
Its unfortunate because spearhead has a lot of potential because of the setting, but the devs wont update it.
@FA-18529 yep, no updates for almost a year now

Where the hell do I find servers for '44?
ČSLA deserves more love, truly.

Fully agreed on that, really a tragedy

They are on sale as we speak
None. Because arma 3 is a trash game and doesn’t deserve your money because of it
Hey now buddy, what is the trashy part about it ?

@LakevusParadice Arma 2? The game that ran like a potato 🥔 but sure, not your cup of tea I get it 🙏 PS I actually love Arma 2
@@CebCine does run like potatoe to me.
Yeah arma 3 just feels like a cheap Chinese knockoff by comparison
