Biggest tip I can give anyone for Antistasi is no objective is made equal. Do your recon because that outpost may be much much more fortified than another. Same with all the other capturable areas. Captured 3 outposts last night and 1 of those outposts was basically a massive military base (but marked as a normal outpost). It was about 4x the size of normal outpost. But also making sure you have plenty of cover because some objectives are isolated in the open like most on Takistan lmfao.

You may of been able to tell in the recording of the video but there were a few moments where I felt I really messed up the video and honestly was going to scrap it. But by the time I finished, I decided it was more real to post it as is and show people that arma is hard and cruel for everyone, not just them.

great video. restarting Arma after 3 years away. Always felt Antistasi was too painful as a solo player, but the tip about roadblokcs really helps. Putting loot boxes in trucks makes life so much easier when grabbing gear. PLaying Ultimate version and loving it. I'm looking for a vid on explaining how to use all the items in the garage properly next. e.g. I randomly added a captured fuel truck to the garage. Now all my spawned vehicles come with full fuel!

The thing I love about antistasi is that you can legit use your faction AI men and send them to fight or setup bunkers, AT/AA bunker etc. Its just very exiting! I wish I could also join but problem now I am facing is that my PC is ded and I have exams after two months. I will think of joining your Games after I fix my PC after exams.
if you play solo then change item unlocks from 25 to 15 or atleast 10 if your going around manually picking up each and every item you want unlocked , with a pickup or any other vehicle with loading space , you can fit a loot box which you can buy from your garage and use to automatically loot every corpse within a certain radius get another AI or a group of AI with you and when you find a car you want back , command him in the car , and command him to go back home to base and he'll drive it back for you also if you liberate more settlements , easiest throught supply missions , you get more income in money
Some fun things to do for new solo players: o Go into a town and ambush the police guarding the town. These are really fun fights for small groups early on. The payout is the Police vests which are Level 2 armor. Those should be among your first targets to unlock. o Spam the Support Missions! You get those from Petros. It's the quickest and easiest way to start taking over territory and gaining support/manpower. They're really fun missions too. Clear the guards in the town before dropping the box of supplies. You can pretty much ignore all of the other Petros missions and still do well. A lot of them are either suicidal or the rewards aren't really worth it. Roadblocks might be a little tough for new players until you get better rifles due to the HMG/Technical. An easier way to get military gear is to ambush 2 man patrols, but it's a longer grind.

@@TwoHams indeed! It can be a little bit of a risk though because if they open fire before you get a chance to start mowing them down, they get a straight shot at you through the front window. It’s basically not doable if they have a 50 cal
Nice to see antistasi still going. Couple of things from my experience. 1 ai can't see through trees but most other plants the can to various degrees. 2 during early game don't ignore the cops. Besides swaying faction support if you kill enough you do get a military response. Just be careful as that sometimes includes apc and big areas get helo support. They are also a good source of medical. If you need with removing enemy vehicles that's my specialty 😅.
I think the biggest thing I learned from this is to know when to let something go. After the second attempt, I would have said screw it, we'll go find an easier roadblock.

I haven't played Arma at all but have extensive knowledge on fps games and a very strong understanding for guerrilla tactics and have knowledge on ham radio. I would be more than willing to give it a try. I have been looking for a decent group of people to work with. This is the first mod and your particular channel that have made me want to get home and start downloading. I only have 5 days to wear my boots in.

I haven't played Antistasi yet. Just getting back into ArmA 3 after a few years. I used to play MP with FolK ARPS every Sunday a few years ago. Great bunch of guys, who take missions seriously, but not too seriously. If/When we failed a mission, we'd have a good laugh and try again. After I practice at ArmA 3 for a few hours, I may request to join your group. I've been watching Antstasi videos from you and others to get a feeling for the mod. BTW, I have Antistasi Ultra. There is Antistasi Plus, which I don't have. Which Antistasi mods do you use in your group? Also, is Antistasi Plus ccompatible with Ultra? Or, can you use one or the other, but not both?

I'd totally be down to join you guys. I'm an intermediate arma player, got about 150 hours. but full disclosure i run on a potato so my combat is a bit iffy but i usually do recon and logistics with the other groups i play with.
I found a video once that showed me how to get better for in arma and surprisingly I almost doubled my FPS without sacrificing much graphic quality. Be worth checking out to get the best optimization you can possibly get
you have sent me down a rabbit hole, and I must thank you. my fps is still sitting at about 50 but i was able to turn up my graphics without sacrificing frames. cheers man
i think the biggest takeaway from this video is that you need to keep in mind you're a guerilla. you cannot and should not be engaging targets the way conventional forces do. i highly recommend watching some of karmakut's vietnam videos to get what I'm saying. i'm not hating on YLS but there are some things you could do to properly execute early on ambushes: 1. hit and run, as i said before you cannot engage the enemy, once you hit the police/roadblock... you're on a borrowed time till the Quick Response Element (QRE) reaches you. dismount in a defilade, hit the techie with the rpg get back in the vehicle get close to loot and get out asap 2. cover your escape with lots and lots of smoke, the moment you finish spraying your first mag you should be popping smoke and retreating. focus on hitting one target with overwhelming fire then retreat to engage from a different angle 3. i love how YLS emphasized the importance of grenades, thats super important but it shouldnt be your only strat 4. once you have better gear you can start aiming to get more from your raids (keeping the techie alive to get more loot...) early on take whatever you can get and get out 5. have a couple AI friendlies hold a perpendicular angle to your attack. have them engage then make your push with them distracted, itll buy you time.
These are wise words! Antistasi is brutally difficult in the early stages. Until you’ve got assets, guns, gear and ammo under your belt, strategy is is your strongest weapon by far. Could learn a few things from this guy
Hi, I've been watching this video and playing along but a vehicle box isn't spawning when I spawn? No matter what I do it won't spawn, is it an extension of some sorts?
Ive been playing Arma for years. I normally play coop mulitplayer games but this is what ive been looking for all along. I even tried making something like this myself but found the scripting a little beyond me. Love to know what days you play to see if i can fit it in around work.
How do I make my game run more than 50 fps? I have a 4070 super and a 5800x and no matter what settings I change low or highest the fps stays the same and low gou/cpu usage
It isn't your setup, even with a nasa computer u won't be available to run it smoth, its because the game can't handle multiple AI in parallel, the only way to run arma at 30 or 60 fps is by lowering the view distance to 2k max and don't have more than 4 or 5 AI squads in the whole map
I been trying to play Antistasi and have no clue how I get side missions or missions in general. Also, it says to click map to get info on on towns, and that seems to not work either. It just tries to set a marker on the map.

To prompt his commands you just spin the scroll wheel when you’re facing him up close. But my best advice to help you with the learning curve is to join my discord. We have a 24/7 dedicated server running the antistasi game mode. We work together for weeks to liberate a map and then start a new map and do it all again. There are usually people online at all hours so you’re never alone on our server. The link to join is in the description of my most recent video

Quick question how do we change the parameters that we set at the start for example say we set the AI to normal and then want to change it? I couldn’t find an option in game to change the params cheers in advance
You’ll see the parameters selections after you select a map and launch into the game. You and your friend will basically be standing in a field in your underwear, that’s where you will have the option to create your save file and in turn select your perameters

Yes the game auto saves. When you first start your save file, there is an auto save frequency option. But also you can walk up the map at your base and select persistent save
We were overwhelmed with positivity and the amount of people who joined our community. So we’ve taken the next step and we have bought our very own dedicated server to host antistasi on. So to answer your question, yes we did get enough players however the overwhelming mass of players that wanted to join the community has pushed us to remove a player limit and welcome all. I played tons of antistasi years ago solo but that was when the manual save was still enabled so i did save scum a bit to give me an advantage. Anybody know how to enable the feature back? Would i have to edit the pbo file for that? I did play solo for a bit maybe a year or two ago but i was persistent saving constantly and if i got super screwed i would just restsrt the game and play from the latest save. But now most antistasi mods are multplayer things and so there is not restsrt option.
We host a 24/7 dedicated antistasi server and there has been times when things went wrong that was game breaking and we simply reverted back to a previous save file. Join my discord community and check out our server!
Just that you lose the kit you’re using. A big part of this game mode is looting and hanging onto good gear. So if I’m going to run on guns blazing, I’ll grab gear I don’t care about. If I grab a nice setup, I value my life like it’s my last. And if I do die, I try to get back to my body to receive the gear I had

Having a hard time understanding the attraction of playing antistasi solo. Knowing that 50 or so human players sometimes takes months to finish it, and genuinely have trouble doing it, I can't imagine it being fun with having to do the whole map with only 9 AI, specially with how aggressive the AI get. Unless there's a feature that enables multiple AI that fight with you in their own units.

I’m pretty “experienced” but I’m pretty young as well. If you would be alright with someone who isn’t 18 then I would be down to join you. Also do you use tfar on your server?
I have been struggling with this solo, I don't know how many times I have had enemy reinforcements just appear out of nowhere. They just keep spawning non-stop.
That did make a big difference but with all the problems with my AI being dumber than a box of rocks and enemy spawning in front of me I'm having a difficult time. @@ylsgaming
Well, if you take too long killing the last enemies, they do send reinforcements. And if you make enough noise with your gun then nearby troops come help out trying to eradicate you. But eventually it gets quiet if you kill the last one. But if you are loosing and its too tough, just fall back, regroup/heal your AI and rearm. Then try to find a beter approach. Or something else with better odds of winning.
Yeah weekends are good for me, im north eastern US time, close to canada. I have 400hrs in Arma, still not the best player ever. I did almost all those hours solo, thinking i would get crushed in multiplayer. But im ex military, love this kinda stuff.
You would fit in well will us. A good chunk of us are noobs and the reason I started making these videos was because I would get crushed too and was intimidated to join servers and finding this game mode and starting this community gathering has made multiplayer easy to get into and fun as hell. @@ylsgaming Hell yeah man, I could also show you guys some tactics I picked up in the army. Few small things like how to execute a ambush and bounding also. I did 8 years in the army, did some time overseas. I love trying to apply real life skills to Milsims, just too see if the game either is too hard or is actually realistic. Squad is another great but hard game, fun as hell though.

Only in some cases you need to open ports. For me I didn’t have to. Just had to check box the UPNP option when hosting and it automatically port forwarded for me. Also you’re right, it doesn’t make sense. It was an over sight when I created the save file as a noob. Our next one will have better more realistic factions
@ylsgaming Yah, that never worked for me, nor did port forwarding in the actual router. I think it has to do with the new protocols used by my ISP or something. We'll maybe give it another try and see.

Even with “very low” skilled ai the struggle is real! Maybe my next video I will teach you guys how to bring AI friendlies to the fight in antistasi

I've noticed the ai at roadblocks like to stand in straight lines, so roadkill is pretty effective for the first strike

Meanwhile my dumb arse was focused on an airfield for the ghosthawks and I couldn't even cap the flag 💀 at least I could garage the birds for later

If you haven’t already, I suggest checking out “Ai can’t see through grass” mod. It helps with them having xray vision through bushes and grass.

The game changer is recruiting AI to help you in the start. One medic and the rest rifleman. I usually do 1 and 3 or 1 and 4.
I agree. Only now I have a dedicated YLS gaming server that’s always populated so no AI needed

I haven't played Antistasi yet. Just getting back into ArmA 3 after a few years. I used to play MP with FolK ARPS every Sunday a few years ago. Great bunch of guys, who take missions seriously, but not too seriously. If/When we failed a mission, we'd have a good laugh and try again. After I practice at ArmA 3 for a few hours, I may request to join your group. I've been watching Antstasi videos from you and others to get a feeling for the mod. BTW, I have Antistasi Ultra. There is Antistasi Plus, which I don't have. Which Antistasi mods do you use in your group? Also, is Antistasi Plus ccompatible with Ultra? Or, can you use one or the other, but not both?

I'd totally be down to join you guys. I'm an intermediate arma player, got about 150 hours. but full disclosure i run on a potato so my combat is a bit iffy but i usually do recon and logistics with the other groups i play with.
I found a video once that showed me how to get better for in arma and surprisingly I almost doubled my FPS without sacrificing much graphic quality. Be worth checking out to get the best optimization you can possibly get
you have sent me down a rabbit hole, and I must thank you. my fps is still sitting at about 50 but i was able to turn up my graphics without sacrificing frames. cheers man

i think the biggest takeaway from this video is that you need to keep in mind you're a guerilla. you cannot and should not be engaging targets the way conventional forces do. i highly recommend watching some of karmakut's vietnam videos to get what I'm saying. i'm not hating on YLS but there are some things you could do to properly execute early on ambushes:
1. hit and run, as i said before you cannot engage the enemy, once you hit the police/roadblock... you're on a borrowed time till the Quick Response Element (QRE) reaches you. dismount in a defilade, hit the techie with the rpg get back in the vehicle get close to loot and get out asap
2. cover your escape with lots and lots of smoke, the moment you finish spraying your first mag you should be popping smoke and retreating. focus on hitting one target with overwhelming fire then retreat to engage from a different angle
3. i love how YLS emphasized the importance of grenades, thats super important but it shouldnt be your only strat
4. once you have better gear you can start aiming to get more from your raids (keeping the techie alive to get more loot...) early on take whatever you can get and get out
5. have a couple AI friendlies hold a perpendicular angle to your attack. have them engage then make your push with them distracted, itll buy you time.
These are wise words! Antistasi is brutally difficult in the early stages. Until you’ve got assets, guns, gear and ammo under your belt, strategy is is your strongest weapon by far. Could learn a few things from this guy
So can confirm your gonna want to put the enemy ai to very Low anyway depending on if your a masocast or not because they are still cracked

Hi, I've been watching this video and playing along but a vehicle box isn't spawning when I spawn? No matter what I do it won't spawn, is it an extension of some sorts?

Ive been playing Arma for years. I normally play coop mulitplayer games but this is what ive been looking for all along. I even tried making something like this myself but found the scripting a little beyond me. Love to know what days you play to see if i can fit it in around work.

How do I make my game run more than 50 fps? I have a 4070 super and a 5800x and no matter what settings I change low or highest the fps stays the same and low gou/cpu usage
It isn't your setup, even with a nasa computer u won't be available to run it smoth, its because the game can't handle multiple AI in parallel, the only way to run arma at 30 or 60 fps is by lowering the view distance to 2k max and don't have more than 4 or 5 AI squads in the whole map
I been trying to play Antistasi and have no clue how I get side missions or missions in general. Also, it says to click map to get info on on towns, and that seems to not work either. It just tries to set a marker on the map.

@@ylsgaming what is the command to talk to him? Sorry if I sound like I`m dumb, but I have tried to find info on stuff all over the net, seems rather confusing. I really want to try to get into the game mode, looks really cool, but man it gets really confusing.
To prompt his commands you just spin the scroll wheel when you’re facing him up close. But my best advice to help you with the learning curve is to join my discord. We have a 24/7 dedicated server running the antistasi game mode. We work together for weeks to liberate a map and then start a new map and do it all again. There are usually people online at all hours so you’re never alone on our server. The link to join is in the description of my most recent video

0:25 im still getting my controller and chatpad preset completed which is almost finished 😊oh and my proscrollr and mmb attachment also got to set up voice command to 😊👍🏻😎🫡 im hoping i can create a couple of lebanon factions so i can create an antistasi in tyre lebanon 🇱🇧 map it sounds perfect for an antistasi situation layout for sure aginst israel and hezbollah factions before to long i hope to be up and running full tilt kabuilt and ready to rock n roll 😊 make some new friends etc.. also i gotta find a mod that allows for a compass on screen and possibly a minimap gps guide for exact direction to objective areas as i am challenged AF! goodness sakes but if not at least a compass would be great for sure 👍🏻 😊

Hey man great video me and a couple mates are looking at starting our own server after watching your vid. Quick question how do we change the parameters that we set at the start for example say we set the AI to normal and then want to change it? I couldn’t find an option in game to change the params cheers in advance
You’ll see the parameters selections after you select a map and launch into the game. You and your friend will basically be standing in a field in your underwear, that’s where you will have the option to create your save file and in turn select your perameters

Yes the game auto saves. When you first start your save file, there is an auto save frequency option. But also you can walk up the map at your base and select persistent save

So to answer your question, yes we did get enough players however the overwhelming mass of players that wanted to join the community has pushed us to remove a player limit and welcome all. When you first host the game it gives you a parameters menu to select all your settings.

I need help guys , when i adjust my settind and click new game . The notification gets stuck on starting game and nothing happens
Try repairing the mod on the arma 3 launcher. Click on the antistasi mod, click the 3 little dots to the right and click repair
I played tons of antistasi years ago solo but that was when the manual save was still enabled so i did save scum a bit to give me an advantage.
Anybody know how to enable the feature back? Would i have to edit the pbo file for that?
I did play solo for a bit maybe a year or two ago but i was persistent saving constantly and if i got super screwed i would just restsrt the game and play from the latest save. But now most antistasi mods are multplayer things and so there is not restsrt option.
We host a 24/7 dedicated antistasi server and there has been times when things went wrong that was game breaking and we simply reverted back to a previous save file. Join my discord community and check out our server!

Great video. Is there any consequence to respawning when playing solo?
Just that you lose the kit you’re using. A big part of this game mode is looting and hanging onto good gear. So if I’m going to run on guns blazing, I’ll grab gear I don’t care about. If I grab a nice setup, I value my life like it’s my last. And if I do die, I try to get back to my body to receive the gear I had
How do I load? Played for an hour now I cant seem to load. Noticed I cant manually save either...
You have to save by interacting with the map prop at your HQ

Having a hard time understanding the attraction of playing antistasi solo. Knowing that 50 or so human players sometimes takes months to finish it, and genuinely have trouble doing it, I can't imagine it being fun with having to do the whole map with only 9 AI, specially with how aggressive the AI get. Unless there's a feature that enables multiple AI that fight with you in their own units.
It turns out it’s way more fun with a full gaming community. I was playing this game mode solo at first but now I have 1500 members along side me on my discord. Feel free to join the crew! Discord.gg/yls

I have been struggling with this solo, I don't know how many times I have had enemy reinforcements just appear out of nowhere. They just keep spawning non-stop.
Make sure to turn the AI skill level down to “very low” in the parameters before you start your game. Game changer
That did make a big difference but with all the problems with my AI being dumber than a box of rocks and enemy spawning in front of me I'm having a difficult time. @@ylsgaming
Yeah the ai are frustrating to use. Since playing along side friends, I find we don’t need the ai
Well, if you take too long killing the last enemies, they do send reinforcements. And if you make enough noise with your gun then nearby troops come help out trying to eradicate you. But eventually it gets quiet if you kill the last one. But if you are loosing and its too tough, just fall back, regroup/heal your AI and rearm. Then try to find a beter approach. Or something else with better odds of winning.
There is a specops team on the far hill west of Vagalala. Better get those vests from police first
Yeah weekends are good for me, im north eastern US time, close to canada. I have 400hrs in Arma, still not the best player ever. I did almost all those hours solo, thinking i would get crushed in multiplayer. But im ex military, love this kinda stuff.
You would fit in well will us. A good chunk of us are noobs and the reason I started making these videos was because I would get crushed too and was intimidated to join servers and finding this game mode and starting this community gathering has made multiplayer easy to get into and fun as hell. @@ylsgaming Hell yeah man, I could also show you guys some tactics I picked up in the army. Few small things like how to execute a ambush and bounding also. I did 8 years in the army, did some time overseas. I love trying to apply real life skills to Milsims, just too see if the game either is too hard or is actually realistic. Squad is another great but hard game, fun as hell though.

They aren’t friendly. The local government is defending against IS invaders. And our rebel group is an enemy to both factions. So it’s 1vs1vs1
@@ylsgaming I see. Makes no sense, but I guess it needs to be like that. Do you still need to open ports (or Hamachi) and all that nonsense to get Coop to work? I gave up years ago on this as it was impossible for me and my son to ever play...tried everything.
Only in some cases you need to open ports. For me I didn’t have to. Just had to check box the UPNP option when hosting and it automatically port forwarded for me.
Also you’re right, it doesn’t make sense. It was an over sight when I created the save file as a noob. Our next one will have better more realistic factions
@ylsgaming Yah, that never worked for me, nor did port forwarding in the actual router. I think it has to do with the new protocols used by my ISP or something. We'll maybe give it another try and see.
