To give my proper review in the description, I actually really like this CDLC. It's not packed with content, but it's very cheap (7 USD) for a new map, a fun game mode and some factions that add a lot of usability to the base game, expanding the 2035 setting. I wouldn't mind more of these, as while something for say, WW2 would have to add loads of assets, another 2035, Cold War or Vietnam CDLC already has other assets to build off of.

Not Really... The UN is primarily a stabilizing force that has much aktive combat... Ignoring the fact that it is chronically underfunded and that it has BIG images problems because in the most regions in Africa people are actually scared when they see UN soldiers especially woman... Because some UN units can't handle their urges and fucking rape and kill for fun... The UN military is basically a great idea with the baddest execution possible.

@@als8518 Suislide drones aren’t that effective. Too expensive compared to just using a drone with a gun and also with ECM equipment becoming standard issue for modern armies you simply need to isolate the control frequency and jam it. Having onboard AI control would need too much electronics making it too expensive and even if it didn’t, AI is currently still hilariously bad at differentiating friend from foe meaning they’d be a hazard not only to your enemy, but civilians and your own forces.

P.S I’d recommend doing the de-mining task without a drone because you can find a CSAT APC that you can actually repair and drive back to base, with its full ammo load as well. But don’t expect it to survive for too long, cause you can’t fully repair it without a repair vehicle (and I don’t see a way to get one without cheats, although you might be able to find one at an abandoned CSAT base, I didn’t check though).

You can repair it at the UNA base, there is a repair truck there, I did that and the rest of the mission was really easy just destroying rebels with ease as they only have short range RPG.

Eh, there'll be human oversight for at least a few more decades. The real concern is 200 dollar drones delivering a 5kg explosive in swarms of 50 on marine squads, which happens in the Crumbling Empires book series, which documents a war between the US and China.

i am actually really impressed with the CDLC, i like that you can actually use the gear in the vanilla game and the gear is simple yet very detailed and well done. its a shame that the game is currently dead from a public standpoint and no servers are running the new CDLC.
And as for the map size, its unfortunate that the map is so small, however there are plenty of well made desert maps out there and I think the developers are aware of this.
