- Join me for a 30 minute UPPER BODY WORKOUT to target your arms, abs, chest and back. Today I'll be using two sets of dumbbells. One medium set (two 10 LB dumbbells) and one heavier set (two 15 LB dumbbells). If you only have one set of dumbbells at home, no worries, you'll still get an amazing workout in. I'll also be using a bench, but you could use a sturdy chair or coffee table instead. Intervals will be 45 seconds on and 15 seconds rest. Warm up and cool down are included. I’m 64 and I’ve noticed I’m not as strong as I used to be. My doctor has advised me to start resistance training. I have watched several of your videos and you make it look easy. Hopefully I will be able to complete one upper body and one lower body workout each week. My goal is strength training on Tuesday and Thursday. Swimming laps on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
I'm 65 and here to say that if you take it slowly and learn how to listen to your body, you will be "up and running" in no time and giving yourself a tremendous gift.

Love the upper body work outs with abs included. I would suggest adding modifications to do moves standing on one leg or on a BOSU to challenge the balance at the same time. Also add squats or lunges to get some leg work in. Just an idea to take it up a notch for this who think they are ready.
